With regard to recent derogatory comments by ex-employees, I wish to share my perception of Dero Fabrication Ltd from the customer point of view.
Obviously I cannot comment on the events behind close door but my experience with this company started in 2018, when I was seeking a company with decent plant equipment and craftsmanship to realise my concept idea to production.
I met Andrew Taylor, who skilfully converted my sketch to Cad drawing and then the steel fabrication was executed by shop floor to a perfection.
Laser cutting, precision bending, neat spot welding and careful handling is required as my fabrication is classified as ‘ highly cosmetic item’ , so no blemishes on surface, dents or scratches are allowed in order to make it a saleable product.
Due to a successful launch in 2018, further orders were placed in December 2019,
October 2020 and June 2023 with all products manufactured to required criteria and on time. No rejects.
I also wish to add that all pro-forma payments were always presented to bank after order completion.
Top rating well earned.

I joined Dero in July 2023 and quickly encountered significant organisational challenges. Internal and external communication was poor, leading to a chaotic and disorganised work environment. Customer service suffered, with frequent customer dissatisfaction and a lack of responsiveness.

I faced similar issues, encountering constant obstacles in addressing customer inquiries and resolving problems. It became evident that the underlying business model was deeply flawed, a sentiment shared by many colleagues.

My attempts to address these concerns were met with hostility. After expressing my intention to file a grievance, I was subjected to a disciplinary meeting that devolved into a personal attack. Accusations were baseless and unsubstantiated, with my line manager displaying unprofessional behavior and attempting to intimidate me.

The disciplinary process was further compromised by the involvement of an "external HR" representative who lacked professionalism and failed to adhere to proper HR procedures. The entire experience was deeply unsettling and left me feeling unfairly targeted.

While some colleagues on the shop floor were supportive, I was told there was a pattern of mistreatment towards other female employees who raised concerns or questioned company practices. The overall work environment was toxic and I ultimately decided to leave.

I strongly advise against seeking employment at Dero. My experience highlights serious issues with management, communication, and employee treatment.

If you’re looking for a fabrication company where everything falls apart, look no further! This place is an absolute dumpster fire of poor management, outdated equipment, and the kind of customer service you’d expect from a crumbling brick wall.

The staff seem like extras in a workplace horror movie—underpaid, overworked, and visibly counting down the days to escape. It’s hard to blame them when the tools they’re given look like they were last serviced during the Industrial Revolution.

Need your project done on time? Good luck! The manager is too busy gazing at the receptionist like a lovesick golden retriever to pay attention to deadlines. You can’t even trust them to have the materials to get started.

Customer inquiries? Ignored (by management). Employee morale? Underground. Honestly, the only thing they fabricate well is excuses.

In short: If this company was a bridge, it would collapse before you could cross it (and it wouldn’t reach the other side anyway). Whether you’re a customer or looking for employment, save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else!

Emailed a quote with full vector artwork and spec and got no reply. Called two weeks later to ensure they had it and was told if they were interested they would have responded. I asked didn't they at least send a quick courtesy reply to say 'thanks but no thanks, not for us'? 'No' I was told!

This is a local company to me and wanted to keep it local. Very disappointing.
