Ordered an Aspidistra elatior ‘Okame’, it was packaged well and delivered very quickly, however, I am very disappointed - it has 3 leaves all of which show some damage. Not what I was expecting for the price £35 + £12 delivery.

Placed an order and received poor condition and damaged plants. To be clear this isn’t “during transit” damage which we all expected. The plants should have been put to the side and not picked for packing/ shipping. Pots were barely full of soil and such a disappointing contrast to the Hayloft plant delivery I received on the same day which were excellent.

I am so glad I stumbled across this site. I've ordered from several different nurseries this spring with mixed results, and I definitely didn't *need* any more plants, but I was excited to find a solanum I had been searching for here so I picked a few others and gave it a shot. All I can say is WOW, the quality and service from this place compared to any of the bigger suppliers is like night and day.

First, everything was much bigger than I expected it to be. Second, everything was healthy and in fantastic condition despite spending the last couple days in transit. This is because each of the plants were packed with painstaking care. One of them was over a metre tall, and instead of cutting it short like many other places would do, they carefully bent it over with supports. Sure enough it sprang right back upright when I took it out of the box.

As a fairly novice plant enthusiast, I appreciated how each pot came with a sticker with comments and care notes for the plants I had chosen. I also genuinely enjoyed going through the website and choosing plants from among the eccentric selection. Now I want to visit the nursery in person!

This whole transaction was such a pleasant experience, and I'm buzzing about the latest additions to my small botanical collection. Thank you for making my week. I will order more as soon as I can make the space :)

Down by Taunton,west country and a similar gaff to PanGlobal in Glos.His place is also off the beaten track too,but i found it off the main road down a sort of dirt track to a field and his small place.

New website, last time i was there never seen so many tree ferns! Still does Borinda bamboo ,has quite a few varities as that bambo is very,very hard to find now in the UK.Even normal bamboo,seems out of fashion.

A off the track specialist i would say, very friendly ,helpful guy from what i remember! Was not afraid of a chat.

Why a 4 out of 5? So damn far away lol......almost going to Cornwall lol... its quite a trek to get to if you do not live in the west country! I like to see what i buy so i cannot make a judgement on his postage service by mail order! I assume its fine!

Ordered 2 plants on Sunday and they were with me on Tuesday. Both packed with care, very healthy and good value for money. Would definitely buy from again and highly recommend. Many thanks.

I had been looking for a certain tree fern for a while and was so happy I discovered DeserttoJungle.com
This is no ordinary garden centre, it is a truly wonderful place with a very wide variety of amazing and wonderful plants and trees.
The owner Robert is really passionate about plants, he's also very knowledgeable, giving great advice for caring, feeding and maintaining any plant in the vast selection.
Robert was easily able to provide me with all the information I needed, before purchasing a Cyathea Medullaris and has been terrific with aftersales care and advice too.
He really cares for the plants he sells and is not just a salesperson in a shop, trying to flog you something.
If only I lived closer, I'd be buying from Deserttojungle.com a lot more often.
