THEY ARE THE WORST!!

THEY ARE THE WORST!!! PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
They have told my mother they were going to refund the money and keep asking for the same and the same documents. They made us wait for months. And when we finally thought we were gonna get the money back we try to contact them and they cancel the request and ask for the documents again. They are liars and a very doubtful company at this point. It's so sad because my mother spent a lot of money with them and they are treating us like fools. And when we do get to talk to someone they are Colombian ladies and very very rude!!! They do not give an email, phone number or name of anyone in charge. HONESTLY THE WORST!!!!!!!!!

AVOID at all cost, you´re much better without them

It was a 2 years nightmare to get refunds for a COVID cancelled trip. Even once they accept to give you a refund they make everything possible to delay it.
It will always be cheaper and better in case of any issue to buy directly with the airline or hotel.

Worst company ever

We bought 3 rooms, and wanted to cancel just one due sickness. They told I had to cancel all the rooms and buy the other two once more. Of course, this happened a week before the trip, so two rooms were much more expensive than the price we payed for three.

I bought 4 Tickets right before the pandemic, due to this situation, I was not able to travel, then, I tried to modify my reservation, however, Despegar never supported me, I decided to cancel and get my money back, they promissed that the refund would happen in 6 months, has been more than 13 months, and nobody from despegar even contacted me, I am trying to call the 1.877.893.3988 and the last time I waited for literally 4 hours on the phone, and nobody ever answered me. I dont know what to do. Please if someone can give me a way, I will be more than happy

Stay away.

I bought two tickets roundtrip to Madrid in March 2020. I haven´t fly yet, because of Despegar & Aeromexico. Almost I loose 75% of the Tickets value, because of Aeromexico & Despegar.

Believe me, Stay away.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I cancelled in april 2020 a car reservation that I made and paid in august 2019 for may 2020. It was a free cancellation policy booking so I expected to receive my money back immediately. Almost February 2021 and I don't have my money. They never answered the phone and I had to contact lawyers. #nuncamasdespegar

Despegar are a bunch of scammers

In January 2020 I bought a travel package to Iguazu which included air tickets plus a couple of extra activities. On July after COVID struck and the government cancelled all tourism in Argentina I cancelled my trip and asked for a refund.

Out of the 33k ARS it cost me they only returned 1800 ARS. I have continually messaged them through Twitter and they always say the same thing: we are still analysing your case, please be patient.

The worst part is that the Aerolineas Argentinas has already agreed to return the money of every passage, which means Despegar has retained my money and is refusing to pay.

Do not trust Despegar, do not buy from them. They are a bunch of scammers that will steal your money and run away.

Despegar took my money

Despegar is not answering and then its avoiding the possibility of cancelling or changing an air ticket purchased with a flex condition and postponed by the air company due to the Pandemia.

I bought flight tickets last year from the Argentinian website to travel yo Brasil on March. But everything got cancelled due to Covid and now they don't want to return the money. The only option they give me is to cancel my flight (charging 80% of the original price).

Reclamo a Despegar - Vuelo EZE-MIA-EZE

Since May I have not been able to reschedule air tickets to the USA that I have purchased from Argentina, my intention is to be able to reprogram according to the Aerolineas Argentinas exchange policies for Covid-19 to be able to travel in September 2021. But it is impossible to do it through the website as indicated in Despegar.com. I hope you contact me to give you a solution.

Despergar and Norwegian

I bought a flight by Norwegian EZE-LON-EZE in Oct 2019. With departure date 01/15/2020 and return on 04/07/2020. They canceled my flight because of the pandemic. They never gave me an alternative option and they left me stranded for 2 months in Europe until I could buy a flight through Lufthansa and return to my country. They never returned the ticket that I did not use. Despegar says it's Norwegian's fault and Norwegian says that the one who has to pay me back is Despegar. In the middle the customer without a solution. I will never use these companies again

Despegar left me in the street when I…

Despegar left me in the street when I had valid and already paid-for reservation! I arrived in Orlando with a hotel reservation made at Despegar only a few weeks before. But the hotel told me it was cancelled. Despegar blamed Expedia.

A few days later, when I travelled to another area, I went to another hotel with a reservation from Despegar and, again, they had cancelled the hotel. Despegar blamed the hotel saying that due to covid they were not opperating. But it wasn't true, the hotel didn't cancel and they were receiving guests and opperating as usual. Depegar lies! It's a fraud!

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever , I been trying since May to contact Despegar for a refund with no luck , I got a couple of email stating they are working on it and just yesterday an email saying they cant refund me with no explanation. I don't recommend DESPEGAR at all not worth it .Just now I was holding for 4 hours for them to just hang up and is always the same thing. Facebook has a page for Despegar Fraude and I'm not the only one who is having the same issue . PLEASE DO NOT BOOKED WITH DESPEGAR ....Follow Despegar Fraude for more horrible review ..I wish I would of known before booking.
