Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

It was just what we needed!!

We visited Bude twice, Clovelly, the eden project, Newquay and port isaac!!

The Half moon inn at sheepwash was lovely for tea one night and life's a beach at Bude for lunch after the sea pool!!

Love seaside life and being near the water, it really helps us to relax.

The snug was beautiful, full of everything we needed.

The first aid kit and air fryer are great additions.

The boys loved the pool and the fishing lake!!

Me and the hubby have stayed in the Devon Bolthole twice now with the pooch, we have felt so relaxed both times, the place is immaculate and so cosy with lots of little extra touches, we love our pooch gets his own little tag explaining he is on holiday and where he is staying if the worse was to happen. The swimming pool is very clean and the amount of walks near by you can do is amazing, all you can hear is nature, the sky at night is amazing with no light pollution, if you want to escape this is definitely the place to be 😍

We stayed in the Devon Snug for my nephew's 9th birthday. The property was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and so peaceful. The sofa bed in the lounge was very comfortable. The pool was a hit with my nephew - three swims with the pool to ourselves! Dog friendly also, everything we could ask for! Clare was so helpful and kind - even leaving a birthday balloon, cake and sweets for my nephew's birthday on arrival. We would absolutely stay here again!

Stumbled across these quaint little cottage’s on Facebook. Clare who owns the cottages along with her brothers was fantastic from start to finish. The Facebook page and also the new updated website have new content nearly every day! I felt quite at ease booking direct with Clare and when we got to our cottage in July we were not disappointed. Total relaxation if you want it. So peaceful apart from the wildlife. The other guests in the other cottage’s were all very respectful of everyone. The cottages were very cosy and of a high standard. The cottages had everything you would need for your much needed rest. It’s got its own indoor swimming pool and well stocked fishing lake. Just beyond the lake you can reach The Ruby Way. The Ruby Way is an off-road cycling, walking, and horse-riding route under development in the rural area of northwest Devon known as "Ruby Country" An excellent walk with the dog down here many times. Thank you Clare for providing excellent accommodation and keeping us updated every step of the way. And lastly not forgetting the personal touch of providing a large birthday balloon for my wife.

I absolutely cannot recommend Devonbolt hole enough. Beautifully decorated cottages offer a superb setting to switch off relax and recharge. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside offering scenic walks. This really is a gem.

I stayed at the Devon Snug twice and both times the experience was absolutely fabulous. I went there to write and the peace and quiet was just what I needed. The cottage was clean and cosy and the bed was super comfy. I felt like I could properly relax. There are lots of lovely places a drive away, the seaside is about 20 minutes and there are loads of walks (and pubs). I really couldn’t recommend the cottages enough, the care and attention to detail are second to none, I hope to be going back again soon.

Im writing this review because the wonderful Clare who runs and part owns these beautiful cottages deserves all the recognition she can get. If like me you came across the cottages on FB and have found yourself reading her wonderfully humorous post. You will know that they dont offer pubs , lound music , shops or anything else you can think of . However they do offer complete comfort stunning surroundings swimming in the most beautiful pool (that you often have to yourself). Finishing lake if thats your bag. Beautiful beaches just a short drive away . I could continue, but just click on her FB page and have a read . I can honestly say I feel myself Relax the moment we turn onto the drive of the cottages. Clare goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you want it to be . The wonderful Karen who keeps the cottages ticking over and making sure they are all ready for your arrival is also amazing. We have stayed twice and will be repeating guest.
