The product is really good when it actually works. Since I moved over to Dexcom one plus from Dexcom one I have had a lot of sensors that have failed. Customer service send out replacement but it just a bit annoying have to phone them all the time. I would say 1 out of 4 fail or maybe slightly more

Inaccurate readings even after several calibrations based on traditional blood glucose meter, A waste of time!

Variance example - cgm shows 6.2 and meter says 5.4... Blood glucose shown to incorrectly rising 3 hours after eating which would be concerning if I didn't have a traditional meter for backup!

Save your time and money

Two out of three sensors would not stick. Even after adding extra adhesive patches. Don’t waste your time and money on this product. I have since seen similar reviews with the exact same problem. It didn’t even stick for five minutes before it peeled off and once the sensor comes off it fails and can’t be usef

Worst customer service I have had the privilege of experiencing. The technician in charge of saving my life, hung up on me. This was the day I decided to stop using Dexcom and moved on Medtronic as a life saver.

Good customer service

I agree with most of your reviews re failing it has happened to me twice and each time I contacted them by phone. I got really helpful friendly assistance I get mine through the nhs but both times they sent me another via next day delivery via DPD plus a package to return the faulty one. I don’t think I could get better service

Dreadful customer service

High failure rate, really poor customer service, therefore switching to Abbott FSL. At the time of switching to Dexcom and Omnipod, Abbott FSL wasn't compatible. Now it is so I'm switching back at my earliest opportunity (not for months to use up current stock and I'll have to chase both NHS and Dexcom to ensure they've actioned it!). Do any of you feel that no one is on the side of a type 1 diabetic?
I was diagnosed in 1968, aged 3, and have grown up with the condition.

66% failure rate

66% failure rate. 2 of the last 3 sensors failed to connect or failed to provide reading within hours of insertion. DEXCOM is having some serious production issues. A month supply is 3 sensors, 2 failures in a month is a pretty dismal performance.
Update, Dexcom stated that replacement for defective sensors would arrive in 5-7 days. It has been 9 days, last installed sensor is expiring and still no replacement sensor. Additional dismal customer service experience.
Update on dismal customer service. Sensors replacement will take 11 days to arrive. When they work, the G7 sensor is only good for 10 days. With a 66% failure rate, Dexcom can not send replacements faster than the product fails.

Devices malfunction frequently

Their devices malfunction frequently. I currently have a device of theirs that I installed on June 14th. It malfunctioned on June 22nd, Session Ended Early. That is approximately 8 days of use. They are supposed to last up to 15 days! I filled out the form, and they/AI bot declined my form, saying that they can't verify a problem with my device. So I called the customer service number to follow up, and basically whatever the AI bot decides with my form, they're not able to overturn it. So no replacement device will be issued for the device that I paid $45 for and only got to use for one week. Absolute crooks. Have canceled my subscription.

Really disappointing tech and service

Sadly, really poor experience with Dexcom over a couple of years. On one occasion a phone update stopped the app from working altogether.

More recently, I bought a new phone on their list of compatible devices only to find that it does not reliably connect with the sensor. For months it's been waiting for their tech team to issue a fix with terrible communication about it.

Even trying to make a formal complaint goes nowhere and I feel thoroughly ignored by Dexcom uk.

Can't wait for my insulin pump contract to end so I can change manufacturers.

Criminals!

It's hard to conclude that these people are anything other than criminals. We pay over $1k every quarter for Dexcom supplies. Every quarter we have at least a half dozen G7 Sensors that fail. This has been true for over 6 years now, going back to their prior versions.
They've always had an online way to report these failed sensors, but for the last year that form has been broken. Each quarter I go through the painstaking process of entering all of the details for the failure, but when you go to submit the form all it says is "Error." For a year now!

After spending 20 minute filling out their forms, I then have to call. But now they are telling me that we are out of our "good will" allotment of replacements. So I buy your $1k product, it fails, and you consider it "good will" to replace it? No, I consider that the very baseline of ethics.

I've now spent an hour of my time arguing with these people about replacing THEIR faulty equipment - all to no avail.

Stay away from Dexcom at all costs!!!

Sensor malfunctioned and no support ir communication from Dexcom…

From day one the device malfunctioned and I tried to contact the pharmacy (Aster) who sold it to me, no support or response, until I threatened to raise a complaint in the health ministry!
I contacted Dexcom UAE on the no they finally provided after a week, they responded a replacement would be sent but no response on when or how anymore.

I wished I had read the reviews here before. Another pharmacy checked that the sensor was placed correctly and offered free blood tests which revealed that the Decom reports 40 to 60 below the actual value, after calibration it jumped back after a couple hours. After the second calibration is reported only nonsense jumping up and down. It kept waking me up 4 to 5 times at night as you can't switch off the urgent low alarm - though the device reported 40 after lunch even - when you're supposed to be unconscious below 50! What a NIGHTMARE! All screenshot were provided to Dexcom.

I never had any such problem with the Abbot FSL before! I wanted to try the Dexcom as the price is a bit lower - BAD mistake. So disappointed!

I'm new to dexcom

I'm new to dexcom, it's my first day, but I already hate it. The app shows your current sugar level and a graph which uses a big scale such that you cannot make out readings over time. There is no log with actual numbers so you can go through your readings. Just this vague and useless graph.
It is designed for low/high events and nothing else. So it is not helpful in determining how foods affect your readings, as everything gets blurred in the graph. Horrible.
I've used the competitor brand it was really useful and userfriendly.

dexcom G7 3yrs, now it’s failing

I have been a user of the dexcom G7 for nearly 3 years now and everything was working pretty good, however over the last 3 months I have had 4 sensors fail. That’s a 33% failure rate.

I work away sporadically, and it is my fault I didn’t bring a spare sensor with me, but I am writing this 120 miles from home at 4am as my sensor has fallen off. This is the 4th sensor in a row now. I am a private patient and I pay about £144 per month for 3 sensors.

It was working fine for 3 years but they must have recently changed the glue as the patch now stays on my arm but the sensors has come away. 4 in a row now. I’m cancelling my subscription

6 of 9 sensors stopped working

This company is a total joke. I have no idea why providers recommend it so much. I was using the Libre Freestyle and was convinced by more than one provider that I should switch to the Dexcom because it was more accurate. I got a 3 month supply, each sensor only lasts 10 days (compared to 15 on the Libre), so I had 9 total devices. Not exaggerating, only 3 made it the whole 10 days. All 6 of the others had "sensor errors" and stopped working before the 10 days. I have been using a CGM for over 3 years now and am very familiar with how to use them, so it was not my own errors causing it. In their defense, Dexcom did replace 2 of the sensors, but their online form did not work to be able to request them so I had to call which is time consuming, and, frankly, I do not have time to be requesting replacement sensors every week. Not only are the sensors more costly than the Libre, you also need more to cover the same time frame, and 70% of them wont work properly. What a scam.

I have returned sensor numerous times

I have returned sensor numerous times. They have failed so many times & the wires have broken off inside my arms five times. I cannot remove them. They constantly go 'out of range' not even @ 8"-12" away. They have totally lost the quality of production. Someone will die in their sleep due to their malfunction. I have already been DKA & in a coma due too failures & it's failures to read & communicate correctly with my Tandem pump. C/S & tech support are poorly trained & difficult to understand. I am going to switch to freestyle. I'm 73 & tired of trying to fight with them. Contact your insurance carrier & supplier & report your issues. They need to be forced out of business.
