Nice trip with slight improvements to be made

Traveling from Amsterdam to Newcastle was easy and smooth nothing to mention here.

Traveling from Newcastle to Amsterdam was kind of a nightmare. Rough sea (Nothing DFDS can do about) and boiling hot cabin at night where sleep was limited to around 1-2 hours. This should be fixed asap on the King Seaways ship.

They have a ´spend 150 pounds in the duty free shop, get a day ticket´. Except you aren´t getting it. After numerous mails and texts I still haven´t gotten a single reply.

Comfortable trucker ferry

Was positively surprised by the easy booking process, the friendly check-in at the terminal in Paldiski and the good comfort on the ferry. Albeit a trucker ferry the standart is quite ok for the occasional traveller in a camper van.

Fantastic service as usual from DFDS

Fantastic service as usual from DFDS, booked the Club Class lounge on the way out and worth every penny, got moved onto an earlier ferry on the way back as we made good time on our journey to the port. Perfect experience.

The booking was easy

The booking was easy, interactions for passenger changes very kindly handled.
Crossing both were very comfortable and well run. Only hiccough was that somehow during one alteration was that the booking time was changed, and I was unaware until we reached the port. However we were dealt with very well, and with great efficiency and were accomodated on the appropriate ferry!! We will be using DFDS in the future, I can reccommend them!!

Cancelled crossing.

Got a text message which I didn't see until after I reached the port explaining my booking had been cancelled and I should turn up and see if I could get on the next available. No apology.

The next boat was then 25 minutes late meaning I missed my last train home so had to incur a hotel cost and new train tickets.

The boat itself and loading etc was great.

Useless customer service

Useless customer service. I asked a simple question on their chat 11 days ago about the Amsterdam ferry.. No one answers even after 11 days. I am so pleased that I found out their customer service is useless before I booked online. Obviously, another company will get my business.
