Avoid

Awful company don't use them if you have a leather recliner you won't be covered from dye coming out mine lasted just 4 years went green then black will never use them again

15 year guarantee worthless !!

15 year guarantee worthless !!! 3 year old sofa collapsed in the middle and they said there is nothing wrong with it !!! ...they came round took the pads off and didn't even check it properly 😒

KEEP AWAY FROM DFS.
Aweful argumentative customer service, product quality so poor, our sofa collapsed in firmness within 6 months. I mean by 55% due to rubbish quality foam and non existence base springs. DFS customer service said this was normal and to be expected, despite several technician visits. Their additional guarantee above your standard rights is worthless. The ombudsman was informed with little success. Not surprising as they’re paid by DFS.
I have now resorted to putting a length of 5mm plywood under the cushions.

AVOID DFS

Bought a sofa in 2020 , sofa came in Broken and I didn't want to accepted the sofa and sent sofa back. DFS Store Manager Carrickmines told me that the sofa would be charged and I had no choice just accept the sofa , even damaged as he would get sorted. Called few times DFS in that time, and obviously they never came due Covid time. Store Manager was really rude when called me once, possibly couldn't deal with customers complaint as it was Sofa faulty, even the deliver driver saw and said that they would need to fix. After a long months , came one man to see the sofa and fixed for the time being. Last year sofa came with the same problem and got worse. I basically cant use my sofa for months now, Paid around 5K for the sofa set and there is a problem since day one. Last year DFS said that they were waiting for a part coming from UK, would take maximum 8 weeks. I called DFS today and still nothing. I think I will have to go to court with them as this is 5 years. Not recommended at all.

I had a bad experience with this…bought bed waiting 7 weeks. Misleading information.

I had a bad experience with this company waited 7 weeks for a bed to be delivered. Delivery dates changed. Then no update on the order number each time I checked. Many phone calls to see where delivery is and same thing not arrived in yet. Loads calls and on phone never experienced such bad service from the company ones on phone know nothing already what I knew. Far too long waiting. Nothing is cheap lot money spent. We did up a room ages ago to this waiting on the bed couple weeks grand but not 7 weeks. What got me was bed eventually came and no headboard. When I ordered the bed didn’t give option or anything to add head board on like other websites. I was thinking order bed and mattress paid delivery etc. then to find out wanted another 649 for headboard and I paid 1209 for bed frame and mattress. I was under impression when paid for bed and mattress 1209 that head board would come with bed. But it doesn’t. No option to add head board in off course ya going need headboard why wasn’t there a selection to add it in on website. Misleading. Terrible service. Don’t blame ones picking up the phone. Just operators. Higher up ones or who ever dealing with customer service and I see more than one complaining never buy anything of this company again. I did tell them going cancel order rang me back I wish I had done but said to me that can have out delivery once I said I’m going to cancel within few days had delivery date and order on it’s way. But I should cancelled forgot about it. Don’t get me wrong lovely bed etc nothing wrong with quality can’t justify paying 649 for headboard after paying 1209 for bed and mattress and waiting 7 weeks and not only that all credit my phone used calling them and time and emails etc. on hold 15 and 20 minutes and some times never answered. Very misleading when comes to add ons. Won’t be buying headboard here cuz price no 1 and 2nd prop wait 7 more weeks and not going through all that hassle again. Will say staff on phone very polite good at trained at what they do altho no good because what’s happening on end of service getting the item ordered to customer would be another department. I just can imagine all calls of complaints this company has what I see online something needs to change for this company regarding service and item ordered to customer as quickly as possible and updates to customer and reliable service. After all this hassle no one rang or even offered discount or even tried meet half ways . Never again. Only to find out similar thing had happened to one family members when they order sofa took months to arrive .

The worst customer service ever

Never trust this company I was told I am getting a bed so a gave my old bed frame to a charity shop. Now the new bed came it was damaged beyond repair they took it away. Now I have just had cancer treatment and having chemo I am sleeping on the floor on a mattress they just said oh dear I am sorry 21 days before I e can sort anything. Dfs don’t trust them

Poor Customer Service Post Purchase

Bought a sofá and the delivery date was ser for 03.03.25. Day requested às annual leave to await for the delivery. Not able to access the “track order” on the website. Waited 23 minutes for the phone to be answered. The delivery was changed to 06.03.25. The agent on the phone said that the problem was with my computer and phone (both) not their website. Very poor customer service. I hope that the sofa is worth the troubles às if there is a problem I don’t see DFS assisting. Definitely affected my trust, first and last purchase.

My sofa and chair is 7 weeks old within…
My sofa and chair is 7 weeks old within a couple of days of them arriving, the material on the chair went all creased n wrinkled, I emailed DFS they sent a service manager out who told me it's normal n to plump the seat n smooth creases out a couple times a day (who actually does this!!) fair enough i've been doing it but the chair is worse than ever it's a total disgrace!! I've again emailed customer services and am awaiting a response, now DFS if how the chair has gone is "normal" tell me this how has the 2 seater sofa not done the same 🤔 read fb complaints pages for dfs, it astonished me how good the reviews are here compared to there 🤔, never again will i buy from this company or recommend them, my chair cost £839 i will not let this go i want answers n not fobbed off

Ordered a Clark chair and was delivered…

Ordered a Clark chair and was delivered in 3 days which was great.
Once arrived I noticed that the chair was really lopsided and it was very noticeable and also felt unstable.

Rang DFS customer service the next day and all the guy said was, I’ll get someone to call you back, waited another 3 days and no such call so I called them back.

The girl on the phone said that the chair had been delivered direct from the manufacturer so on the system it still wasn’t saying that the furniture had been delivered my home. She said they would call me back and to avoid sitting on the chair.

I was waiting to go into hospital for a procedure and at the time needed a comfy chair as I had just paid 2,500.00 for a Stella sofa from DFS which is that firm I’m unable to sit on it.

So no seat to sit on and no advice or action.
A week later I received a call saying an engineer would be out within a few days and the engineer did call when they said. He explained the chair mechanism was bent and that’s why it was lopsided.
He put his report in and DFS rang and said they would replace. I was not taking a chance on this chair so explained that I wanted a refund and after a couple of call backs they agreed.
I had just came out of hospital on the Thursday when he rang and said they would collect the chair on the Saturday and I would receive a text the night before with a 3 hour slot.

That is today, I have had no text at all so I’ve rang DFS and spoke to a really condescending man who told me, no, this is a collection, you don’t get a slot, that must have been a trainee that told you that, a really sharp tone and treat me like a second class citizen as I was having furniture removed and not delivered. Furniture that might I say I paid delivery for and was delivered defective!

I also paid for a care package on purchase for my Stella sofa which I have not received and keep being told their having problems with, well you shouldn’t be taking g customers money then DFS if you are unsure you can deliver the product!

I used to love DFS and recommend them to everyone, mainly for their customer service, however, since I bought my sofa this time and then the Clark chair I can clearly see that their products and service has went way down hill.

Will not be using again, think twice before you purchase.

I would give no stars if possible

I would definitely recommend going anywhere but DFS for furniture, I bought a sofa in the middle of January specifically because it was an express delivery piece,told on the day it would be 3 weeks maximum delivery after week 4 I emailed what apparently is customer service and I will use that term very lightly. An area manager eventually emailed me back to say sorry the timeframe on the tablet when I bought the express delivery item was incorrect and that it would be the end of February once questioned on it she basically told me that there was nothing could be done and sneered at the idea that I could take it any further. As I said in my conversation with this latest say lady DFS are quick enough in taking payment but then they really don't care about their customers. So buyer beware especially in the carrickmines branch as they will literally tell you what they need to get the commission they are looking for and if you look for clarity off the regional branch manager well if I ever get it I will let you know the time it takes.
Complete lack of interest in customer issues take yourself to Harvey Norman and save yourself the pain of going near DFS

Poor cushion foam.

Poor cushion foam.

Got a corner suite in 2023 but the cushions have collapsed.

Would avoid are they made in China 🇨🇳

I see another review about the insurance it your sofa gets dirty and you can't clean l also was told they would replace it obviously a lie.

I think l will contact Trading Standards all the bad reviews can't be wrong 89%

Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and durable.

So small claims court for me

Damaged my sofa!

Ordered my sofa to be delivered to the store for collection in the Carlisle branch. Staff admitted to my delivery driver they thought the sofa was for the show room and had uncovered and rewrapped it. After delivery and on inspection I have found various areas of damage to the sofa and now all they will offer me is a repair as a gesture of “good will” when I have asked for a full refund. Shocking company do not order a sofa from here. Customer service is awful, staff lie and the number of people I have read this has happened to is astronomical. There are actually Facebook pages dedicated to complaints with this company!

I emailed DFS regarding the possible…

I emailed DFS regarding the possible delivery to my Flat.in Milton Keynes of a new sofa. I was considering purchasing one.
I provided info to them including pictures and asked them can they deliver. Despite a chase up email a few days later . No response .
I think a business that cannot be bothered to respond does not deserve any customer orders. Terrible impression of them. Look elsewhere is my feeling about them.

Missing Items, Poor Communication, Unresolved - Very Disappointing

This company's service has been nothing short of appalling. I originally ordered a complete bed set (base, mattress, headboard) on January 2nd. Only the base was delivered on February 7th, and the mattress and headboard remain missing as of February 15th. After multiple contacts with customer service (February 7th,11th and 15th), I've received no firm delivery date or any meaningful solutions. They still don't even know where the missing items are.

To add insult to injury, I also had a couch delivery scheduled for February 17th, which was cancelled by the company with no explanation. While they have now offered an alternative delivery date, given the repeated delivery failures and the complete lack of communication, I have lost all confidence in their ability to fulfil my order.

The cancelled couch delivery further compounds the disruption and inconvenience. I've asked the company to provide a resolution to these significant inconveniences, but they have completely failed to do so. They have not offered any satisfactory solutions to address the missing items, the cancelled couch delivery, or the disruption this has caused.

This entire experience has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise against using this company due to the multiple delivery failures, poor communication, and complete lack of customer service.

Very rude customer service manager as…

Very rude customer service manager as soon he enter the door look at my sofa from far away and declare that its my fault that there nothing wrong with the sofa i complaint multiple times but they refused to help me and kept blaming on us that its our fault it looks like they been told what to say to the customers no metter what they going to stick to their words. i have two set of sofas one is 2 seater and one is 3 seater the 3 seater sofa is absolutely fine but the 2 seater sofa the leather is peeling off which is not normal cause i have the sofa for only less then 2 years. when we want to purchase the goods they promise soo many things and make sure of that we are in good hand and as soon as they deliver the goods to your door thats it you are in trouble after the good been deliver ur stuck in hell u cant get out of it no chance they will help u in any way straight away ur £10000 of in the bin . Be care full and avoid this company

Terrible experience

Ordered a sofa set, waited 8 weeks for it to arrive and it came in the wrong colour. Multiple emails, calls to fix the issue. Dfs says it IS the right colour, just that their images online aren't accurate. My only options are to return the sofa or live with the incorrect one. Such a disorganized and inconsistent mess of a company.
