Laura Stokes was extremely efficient

Laura Stokes was extremely efficient, kind and understanding. She talked me through every step of the process and was extremely patient and supportive.
This could have been a very stressful experience, but Laura was very calm and reassuring.

Excellent support from Laura

I have been working with a Laura who has supported me each step of the way. I've have been worried and stressed with the on going issues but Laura had guided me through the process but also empathetic to how it was making me feel. She has been great to work with.
She communicated where the process was each time. Can't thank her enough.

Shockingly misleading scam artists

Shockingly misleading scam artists: NEVER go to them, in this case, a Housing Repairs claim with the local council. They repeatedly state their costs/fees are 30% of what the council give you, but they also inflate their own costs, then bill the council separately without telling you, and effectively take over 91% of the money they receive from the council. Complete scam artists. Beware.

Thank you for your review. To clarify, we are a regulated firm of solicitors, and this was not in any way a scam.

We are pleased your housing conditions claim was successful and your property repaired.

It seems there’s some misunderstanding regarding costs. The costs/fees we received reflected the work we did in securing compensation and most importantly, the repairs to your property. These legal costs were paid directly to us by the council and they, these legal costs did not any part of your damages or compensation, these fees were solely related to the work we, as your solicitors, carried out for you and totally separate from any compensation you received. For example, in some cases there are no compensation awards, only the repairs carried out, but landlords are still liable for the legal fees.

The only fee we took from you directly was capped at 30% of your compensation, which was a "success fee" to reflect the risk that we would not be paid if your claim was unsuccessful - ie the No Win No Fee agreement. It seems that you have confused this with the legal costs recovered.

We do make this very clear throughout the process, as we did with the bill paid by the council. if we didn't tell you, you wouldn't have been able to leave the review referencing the fee?

We hope this provides clarity, but we are happy to address any concerns directly.

2 years ago I had a car accident

2 years ago I had a car accident. I was stationary, waiting to turn right when I was hit from behind. I am very satisfied with this company and recommend it because I was compensated after the accident due to the perseverance and professionalism it showed.

Started off great but failed to support…

Started off great but failed to support when needed. Was told that she had taken on more of a workload and reduced hours.
Finally gave in and supplied all necessary documentation to close the claim only for them to contact me saying they were no longer acting on my behalf.

We cannot locate you on the system, but as a firm of solicitors that act on a No Win No Fee basis, if a claim no longer has good prospects of success, we are often unable to continue to pursue the claim for a client if for example, liability is denied and there is evidence to support the other driver. Unfortunately not all claims succeed but I see that you did not have to pay anything to us or anyone else, which is the benefit of our No Win No Fee agreement

Couldn't complain about a thing

Couldn't complain about a thing, I put my claim through during covid and dgm still managed to get the claim sorted quickly, Michelle Roberts is fantastic, she can't do enough to help.

Paul demonstrated exemplary customer service from the moment the file was transferred to Paul and his very 1st email to me I knew Paul took pride in his work and committed in every way.

Paul worked extremely hard to ensure the claim was settled in full before reaching the court date.

They are Scam beware

They are Scam beware. They take all your details and do not contact for follow up your case after you send evidence. From febustay until now there has not been no follow up.
