Frustrating experience from start to finish

Horrific experience and bad customer service,
I was expecting to receive a parcel which never arrived. I phoned DHL who accepted that they had a made a number of errors but that there was nothing that they could do and the sender now needed to raise a claim, even though we wanted to raise a complaint. I must say that the Dutch staff attempted to be helpful but said their hands were tied and were us to the US support, the US support has been beyond unhelpful taking away from the efforts of their Dutch counterparts. Its odd at that the receiver is not allowed to raise a complaint even on behalf of the sender. I was told that you cannot raise a complaint that you can only raise a claim, this is a very strange approach. The box which was sent was beyond damaged on arrival, had been left out in the rain, all the contents were soaking wet and for a special touch, the delivery man left the box in a pile of snow!

The worst delivery experience ever DHL UK

The worst delivery experience ever.
1.Failed to print label at the depot to send parcel to local service point and tried to deliver at home address instead 41747270145930
2.Delivered at the local service point but didn't provided a collection code so unable to collect parcel
3.Useless customer service unable to provide a code to collect parcel
4.Customer service refused to issue approval to collect parcel based on my id
5.Asked me to wait 48 hours to be provided with a collection code
6.Still waiting to collect my parcel
7.Shame on you DHL UK

It is so annoying

It is so annoying. We are waiting here for an express delivery. Three people are right next to the door bell. Everyone would hear it and it does work. And we get a notifications, that no one was there. Damn it

1 star because Thats the lowest rating I can give.
I ordered a package during Black Friday. I got an email with a confirmation that the package would be delivered within a few days. Because I ordered it on Black Friday I did expect for it to be a little delayed and was prepared for a week or worst case scenario two weeks. Long story-short two months later still nothing even though I emailed them every days there was anything new. A few times they replied that I would be receiving it “with in the week” but of course that was a lie. And then had to contact the company and beg them to give my money back, and bought it another place.
Dont use DHL. Just don’t

Incompetent

On Tuesday January, at 07:06 an email from DHL told me my parcel would be delivered on Wednesday. At 11:04 I had a text and an email saying it would be delivered between 13:51 and 14:51, if no-one was in it would be left with a neighbour. At 16:13 I had a text to say they had tried to deliver it at 15:10, but no one was in. They hadn't left a card or tried to deliver to a neighbour. I rang and arranged a new deliver the following day, and arranged a safe place to leave the parcel. An email on Wednesday afternoon told me the delivery had been delayed by 24 hours, no reason given. It didn't arrive on Thursday. On Friday they tried again to deliver, but put a blank card through my door, then sent a text and email saying no-one was in, but hadn't left it in my safe place as arranged. I rang again. The person I spoke to this time said that there were no details attached to my delivery regarding a safe place, she tried to attach them, but couldn't, telling me there was a code on the parcel which meant the parcel had to be delivered to me or a neighbour, not left in a safe place. She couldn't explain why the other person hadn't told me this. This morning I went to collect it, After speaking to the man at the desk it took nearly 10 minutes for him to return with my parcel. I then had an email and a text to tell me the parcel had been delivered and accepted at the delivery address.

Worst service ever

They claimed that they tried to deliver it but i was home all day and they never came. Then they left the package at a pick up point, that was a 30min ride with the car from my home! Even though there are many pickup points near my home..

Useless "service" agents! Non-existent delivery

I ordered a product online that was set to be shipped by DHL Express. It's been a week since the expected delivery date and the parcel still hasn't left it's original location!

I tried to contact their customer service through three different channels and regions. Each time they told me to speak to someone else. What do these people do other than refer you around in circles? They keep telling me to speak to the seller of the goods, but clearly it's DHL that has not done their job in this situation, so how is speaking to the seller going to help? The seller doesn't have any more information than I do.

Useless "service" agents!

45 minutes for 2 clients!!!

45 minutes for 2 clients!!!! 45! They deliver fast, no doubts, but it costs a lot too… and the wait time is just insane. I attended an office in Bogota, Colombia. 45 minutes, it’s ridiculous you guys

what a disappointment and shameful…

what a disappointment and shameful service - shipment sent from US to Iceland 15.12.2021 - estimated delivery date 20.12.2021, shipment stuck in UK 18.12.2021 ans was not moving - later I received two different opinions: From DHL Iceland - initially, delay because of covid and no planes, later after 20th when I pointed shipping shows status delivered- but was never delivered, and delivery progress still shows it stuck in London - they just sad : wait after Christmas, then wait after New Year. Meanwhile a sender started to look for a parcel on their own DHL team, they received information shipment stuck in sort of BBX mother ship container and new tracking number will be issued soon and update should come 29.01- of course it was never was issued :). we have 3rd of January now.

Guys. from DHL Iceland contacted guys in London after some time I received information parcel was lost. They didn’t know about issuing any new tracking nomber.

Someone in DHL UK is not saying full truth, IMO my shipment with goods for about 1000 usd was stolen. yeah I can claim it and if it was insured I would get a refund - unfortunately it was not insured - hey what could go wrong, it’s DHL

I propose to look for a video on YT where guy shipped an Apple AirTag to North Korea and it showed its position , and DHL lied to him about where it is and where they are looking for it, some of the call centre guys where confused if they actually operate in North Korea. Well I can understand loosing small leter in some container that supposed to be send to Nort Korea… but loosing big parcel on the 5h way between NY and Iceland, bravo 👍.

it was my last time I’m using DHL as a courier , but if you want to take chance insure you parcel because it looks like some DHL workers are just thieves and liars.

DHL's service needs work.

My 2 bags were held by customs, which is understandable. They were cleared, and DHL first said they were ready to go on the next flight out. A day later, DHL said my bags were 'on hold with customs for up to 90 days'. I asked for more info and all they could say was we cannot offer more information and all you can do is wait. We only know that they don't need more info from you and you need to wait.

I found a phone number that called me in directly to a CBP officer at Cincinnati Hub customs. I gave it a call and they informed me that my bag was NOT on hold and had been released. The agent offered to personally go check on my shipment. Lo and behold, within hours my shipment was moving. 24 hours later, it was at my door - mind you, at 21:30h on New Years Eve! Unfortunately, when sharing this phone number here - TrustPilot removed my review so I cannot share it.

Fortunately, and to DHL's credit, my shipment arrived in tact with no damage. However, I would suggest to proceed with caution when using DHL. They have work to do. As well, I advise to be very careful with your packing lists and do everything you can so that there is no customs hold on your package.

Need to be more customer focused.

Purchased an item from a Hong Kong company.
All fine until the arrival into NZ. Took 3 days to get to NZ which was fine but another 7 days to get to my house.
They kept blaming the local handling agent and they blamed DHL while I’m stuck in the middle.
Will use another in future.

There isn't a worse delivery service

There isn't a worse delivery service on the planet. A kid on a bicycle could have made the delivery from Georgia to Michigan in less time. This last order is at 12 days and still isn't even in my city. They ruined Christmas and new year's. Anyone who used this company needs to stop if they want a repeat customer. Just shutdown DHL. You're awful.

I sold an artwork on Balthasart and…

I sold an artwork on Balthasart and pickup date was arranged, I was given only a confirmation number. We were given time 30.12.2021 from 11am till 4pm.
My husband was waiting all day at home for a pickup. I was at work all the time.
I can not use my phone at work.
At 14:47 I got an unanswered call. If you call it back : you have to know who called you, why, when etc.

It took me two hours to call back and explain multiple times everything. Dhl promised to call back but they never did, so I called three times altogether to understand what is going on.
The lady from DHL told me that they never pick up, first they give a call.
Result: day missed, we have to wait the second day, we canceled all our plans: we have to empty the art gallery, we had to do it yesterday to be free today. Instead, we wait again and the gallery is still not empty and we cannot return the keys.

Update: second attempt after three calls: item still not picked up, no messages, no calls, just not picked up.

After giving a call to DHL again (and wasting money on these calls) they could not find the package at all).

Disastrous and unprofessional service…

Disastrous and unprofessional service how the heck can you deliver an expensive parcel to a random person in a totally different city with a different address and 1 week late! Especially after calling costumer service 4 times to make sure that everything is right!
The shipment tracking on the app was always wrong, costumer service insisted 4 times on the row that the shipping address is right as I mentioned to them on the call. Now my parcel is handed to a random guy in a totally different city!
I don't understand how worse a delivery service can get and how carless a costumer service can be more than that!

Sickening....

Parcel was promised for a Friday, updated to a day before that. I thought that's wonderful. That Thursday evening, I received an email to say "attempted delivery but no response". An outright lie. Fast forward a week later and I'm told parcel contents may have leaked and are being held in the warehouse. Fast forward to today, Monday 20th and I am no wiser now. That parcel contains Christmas gifts. I am beyond disappointed, I am sickened at this carry on. Shame on you DHL!

Truly racist company

Truly racist company. I have been using DHL for quite some time for shipping items from Japan to other countries. Until recently all my clients who name under Mohamed, Abdul, Amat, Mohd, Kamal, or any other Muslim names (mostly living in Australia or South Africa) have been asking to provide IDs or Passport for their security concerns/reasons. The package has been holding for almost a week for this reason and was told by DHL Japan customer service and nothing that they can do.
I feel this is big discrimination for other religion which is unfair to humanity.
