Issues resolved
I used Dial 9 briefly to test the service. Call quality was fine, and the app itself was functional.
I had an issue was with how the account and billing were handled after I stopped using the service. The product is presented in a way that strongly suggests a pay-as-you-go or top-up model. After using it once and then not touching it again, I was later chased for a “subscription” charge relating to a period where the service was suspended, unused, and provided no value. Cs later explained the number was still active for inbound calls.
Customer support initially took the position that because I hadn’t explicitly requested cancellation — despite no usage, no top-ups, and the account being suspended — charges were still valid. The response leaned heavily on “it’s in the terms,” with little regard for how the service is actually marketed or how a reasonable customer would interpret it.
To Dial 9’s credit, after dispute and escalation the charge was eventually removed, and the matter was resolved. However, it required far more effort than should be necessary for a customer who tried the service briefly and decided it wasn’t for them.
If you’re considering Dial 9, my advice would be to be very clear about cancellation procedures and not assume that inactivity or lack of top-ups will automatically stop billing.
The service itself is fine, but the customer experience around account closure and billing could be handled much better - phone support was better than email!

Been using Dial9 for years and I have been really happy with the product and service. I had to switch my account to an Ltd from being a sole trader and the staff were very helpful.
For business's looking for a simple way to get a business landland I would highly recommend Dial9.

I needed my current company landline transferring to a new provider, Dial 9 is operating at 1/3 of the price and I have 10x the satisfaction with their service. Adam W might just be the batman of the virtual landline world.

Dial 9 were helpful from the beginning - the website is good and once you've mastered where to look, all the details are there. But as others have said, if you get stuck or just have a question, their support is superb. Nothing was too much trouble to answer and we ended up buying the hardware from them as well, which they were able to configure for us.
If you're looking for a landline through a BB connection (VoIP), certainly take a look at Dial 9!

I like the most that there is no contract to tie you up. Their services are affordable. They have a very user-friendly client area, where you can fully manage your account. Stop or start services whenever you need to. They automatically send out VAT invoices to our billing.
They are an essential part of our business. We are able to work on the move or from home by simply forwarding calls to our mobile phones. Their app is all our employees need to make a call from their extensions.
We are a very happy customer for over 4 years now.

Terrible company would avoid
Terrible company would avoid. They appear to be cheap but hide their extortionate rates on call recordings. I’ve found others online 50% cheaper and much better service. Don’t get ripped off!
