I recently traveled with friends on Deborah’s Camino Portuguese. There were four of us in our group plus Deborah, our guide. Deborah was wonderful - always upbeat and encouraging. (Some of those days were long!) She often made changes in our itinerary in order to make it more personal to us. When she found out we really wanted to spend more time walking along the ocean, we did. Accommodations were always first class and added to the our experience. It was a wonderful trip and the overall attention to details made it even more so.

Diamond Skies Travel certainly lived up to their name. It felt incredibly easy to discuss our preferences, likes / dislikes et al.
We started out with a rather open request of an “active adventure holiday in Europe with some history and culture thrown in…ideally somewhere we hadn’t been before and not too touristy!”
Lucy, Christine and Susi ran with this and came up with what turned out to be a fabulous suggestion of exploring Slovenia.
A relatively small country that packs a big punch - pristine forests, mountains, rivers and lakes, wonderfully set up for exploring - and did we explore! Gorge walking, exploring castles and lakes, mountain biking through the foothills and forests, ziplining through Europes largest zip line park (felt like we were the only ones there), wild swimming dawn through to dusk, hiking in the mountains not seeing another soul, white water rafting (simply awesome), exploring a vast underground cave system (simply awe inspiring), cycling through Ljubljana learning about Slovenian history (so much we had no idea about) and finishing off with “Escape Castle.”
So many happy memories, lots of activities, caves and castles - thank you Diamond Skies Travel for being able to translate our wishes into reality.
We would never have been able to organise and co-ordinate all that we did ourselves, and knowing someone was a text or call away to answer any query or question was super helpful too.

Our tour guide was amazing and one of a kind. The hotels selected were very nice and had amazing views. Views that were simply breathtaking. The dinner and lunch venues gave a genuine Italian experience and they will be fondly remembered for many years to come. This was an amazing trip and I’m looking forward to my next trip with Diamond Skies Travel in October.

Last Summer my wife and I booked a trip to London to go see our daughter perform on the stage of the Globe Theatre. This would be my first trip ever overseas, and I was understandably nervous about planning everything. It was then that my daughter suggested we use Lucy, who was working as a tour guide when she had met her 4 years prior on a trip to Italy, to help with planning.

Lucy and Diamond Skies made our trip an amazing experience and honestly the most stress free vacation I have ever experienced.

Not only did we get to see everything we wanted to, but the guides were first class, the planning was spot on and her suggestions made the trip even more special. For example, Lucy insisted that we get out of London for a few days to see more of England. Even despite our initial reservations, we trusted her and chose to spend a few days in the Cotswolds. It turned out to be the highlight of the trip.

Experiencing tea time at a country manor made us feel like one of the royals. Every palace, castle or bit of history was enjoyed and cherished. I could not have asked for a better experience.

I absolutely plan on using Diamond Skies Travels for all of my future travels.

Lucy (DiamondSkies Travel) did a great job setting up an amazing memorable trip for us. The details were spot on, every bit of the trip was planned and taken care of and all we had to do was show up and enjoy. We gave Diamond Skies Travel our travel preferences and from there Lucy was able to tailor a wonderful tour for our group of 25; and also a private tour for 4 of us later on.
The guides and drivers were the best!
We loved her suggestion to go to Cotswold rather than the usual tourist attractions.
We changed our mind and itinerary several times; but communication with them was easy and responses were rather quick each time our journey
was adjusted. She was very patient with us.

My group and I just returned from a 10-day tour of Northern Italy with Diamond Skies Travel. With Thomas Randall as our tour guide, and Lucy Ryan as our tour planner, our trip couldn’t have been more perfect.

Our “foodie” experiences included a wine tasting and leisurely afternoon lunch prepared by a sweet Italian grandmother at a gorgeous Tuscan vineyard, a balsamic vinegar tasting at a family-owned, 100 year-old vineyard, and a tasty visit to a small Parmesan Reggiano cheese factory where we got to thump the huge rounds of cheese for ripeness.

Our included meals were scrumptious breakfasts and either a delicious Italian lunch or dinner, often served in an idyllic outdoor setting or centuries-old church or restaurant.

Our hotels were always centrally located, spotlessly clean, and air-conditioned. They ran the gamut from a former ducal palace with views of St. Mark’s Square in Venice, to a lakeside grand resort on the banks of Lake Garda where we were treated to sumptuous massages at the hotel spa. There was also
a quaint, old hotel with amazing views of the Tuscan valley below and sunsets one can only dream about.
Min Florence and a lovely Florentine spa hotel complete with private patios overlooking the gardens.

While on tour, I celebrated my birthday, spending the morning with a Florentine chef shopping for fresh ingredients at an authentic Tuscan market and making lunch at his cooking school in his private home. Surely the best way to spend a birthday!

The experiences we shared and the memories we made together will last a lifetime. Thank you, Lucy and Thomas, for our singular Northern Italian Adventure with Diamond Skies Travel. Simply put: you are the best!

We took our grandsons, ages 13 & 14, on a trip to London, Normandy and Paris. After listening to our wishes, a personalized itinerary was put together by Diamond Skies Travel. The itinerary accommodated our grandsons' desires to understand he significance of the many events & locations surrounding WWII. Not only did they get a full understanding of the significance of the various events & locations surrounding WWII, but the in-depth knowledge of our tour guides piqued their interest in the significance history of the region.

Visits to Westminster Abbey, Churchill War Rooms, the Louvre and the Normandy Beaches all left a lasting impression. We all loved the activities! We biked around Paris, took a high speed boat ride down the Thames and did food tours of French markets before cooking our very own French meal.

Our 9 day tour was both educationally and culturally exceptional. From meals to travel everything was arranged to perfection. Thank you for a fantastic trip!
