Great communicators and helpful Staff!
For the past handful of years my taxes have been handled by Dimov Tax. Their staff has always been great communicators and helped answer any questions that I had during the process. As my taxes became more complicated a weight lifted off of me that I no longer had to do it alone. Thankfully I could rely on Dimov Tax.

The people made my experience positive
The people made my experience positive. Having worked with the same person for over 25 years, I was overwhelmed and frustrated by the fact that I spent a couple of years in Canada with my elderly mother. After she passed I returned and found that my previous CPA did not possess the creds to do cross border taxes.
I found Dimov Specialists and while I was somewhat apprehensive in the beginning having never actually met them, they quickly alleviated my concerns and I am now back in compliance with my taxes in the US and Canada. Whew! Great team and I have to applaud Kevin for his patience. Thanks again.

Second year in a row using Dimov Tax. My taxes are relatively complex (W-2 plus several 1099s) but Dhara was able to find great tax-optimized strategies. Definitely consult Dimov Tax before making any major financial decisions!

Don’t recommend
Initial communication prompt around setting up service and payment. Then limited. I had to continually prompt for updates, even well after the tax deadline. They did not address all my questions and provided limited information on the process of filing an extension and what to expect. They told me a live review with them after completing the taxes was part of the service I paid for, and I never received that, even though I asked. 2 months later they replied to my request offering a consult. Two months too late. Would not use them again.

Our records confirm you engaged our firm on April 7th, and, with the tax deadline approaching, we filed an extension on April 14th to ensure your compliance and prevent penalties.
After the extension, we requested the required documents to accurately prepare your return. Communication on missing information took longer than anticipated, which contributed to the delay.
The live review is part of our standard process once the return is finalized, but this could not proceed until all necessary information was received. We are committed to improving communication and transparency so these issues do not happen in the future.

First off these reviews have to be fake on google. This company is horrific, first off they show up as a local tax company in Philadelphia. Lie 1, they are a national accounting company and have no idea how to file local taxes with the city of Philadelphia. It’s July 27th and my local taxes due on April 15th still aren’t paid, they have no clue how to file my local taxes. Next problem, I still haven’t had my federal taxes filed from 2024 and it’s July 2025 because the accountant put a temporary address I was renting as my address with the IRS which caused an audit. THEY CAUSED AN AUDIT, great accountants cause an audit lol. Now I have to submit proof of all my tax documents to the IRS. None of these accountants work in a central building because they are a large national operation and these accountants are working at home so you don’t know where your accountant is going to be based out of and they clearly don’t run background checks on these “accountants”. I was just told this past week that my accountant who still hasn't filed my local taxes which I’m sure I’ll be penalized for is no longer with the company after not hearing back for months about him not mowing how to file local taxes. By the way you only get a 10 minute phone interview when you become a customer and pay $3,000 to file your yearly taxes, which are still not done yet. $600 to file your quarterly taxes which you have to pay every quarter. This company is twice as much as my local accountant and caused an audit. Do yourself a favor and stay local with your tax service. An actual local company not some glued together network of random accountants they remote hire for work and overcharge for.

While we have staff in more than one location, we are very much experienced with Philly local tax filings and have a senior manager in the area. I personally have worked on Philly-area clients myself for years and can provide multiple personal references that have been with us long-term, including filing the BIRT and NPT with us each year. That said, we acknowledge that delays in communication or execution are unacceptable and we take responsibility where this occurred.
We understand your concern about the letter received and are available to help.
Regarding our rates, they are normally lower than both small practitioners and large firms. Although you will find some variability, we all experience the same current cost and labor environment.
This said, bumpy communication is not okay and we would appreciate the opportunity to make this right. We have been trying to reach you to resolve this. Can you please contact my personal assistant at raghad@dimovtax.com ?

This accountant is excellent! He has been doing my taxes for 3 years now and the process has been simple. My taxes, however, far from simple. I have to split my income between states and also I have my own side business so things can get complicated. My accountant is always available throughout the year to chat about ways that I can save.

Responsive, fair, and wide depth of talent
From my initial outreach in late March on a Saturday, Dimov tax has been responsive and flexible in preparing my return as a first time customer. I found them online after a disappointing and way to expensive experience with another firm. They processed my information quickly even though I had to file extension due to delayed K-1s from my former employer. Post extension, they followed up regularly, worked on edits and jumped on a call to explain final calculations. I worked with multiple team members on my return and that is fine for me -- depth means they are responsive and I'm not waiting for "my guy". They leverage technology effectively and this makes the overall process fast and efficient.

Emailed multiple times and even did a follow up call over the course of a week and a half and literally no response beyond the initial auto email. I have no idea why its impossible to drop a simple note saying you don't have time to take on a new client. I pissed away days that I could have been looking for a different CPA to help.
