2nd time I have used Dineindulge and…
2nd time I have used Dineindulge and have to say suitably impressed on both occasions. Both chefs were fantastic, you barely knew they were they, very professional but at the same time made you feel at ease. The food was spectacular and for this all to be had in the comfort of your own home or holiday home just made it so special. Extremely good value for money too. Can't wait for my next booking!!

Disappointing experience that overshadowed a special occasion
We booked a private chef experience to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday, which was meant to be the focal point of a very special family weekend. Unfortunately, the company cancelled at very short notice, leaving us in a difficult position with no real alternatives offered.
While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can happen, there was no backup plan or meaningful effort to help resolve the situation. As a result, we were left scrambling to organise a last-minute restaurant booking, rearrange transport, and deal with the knock-on disruption — all of which significantly impacted what should have been a memorable occasion.
At the time, we were offered a “free” rebooking as a gesture of goodwill, which initially seemed reasonable. However, when attempting to use it, we were then asked to pay an additional balance for the menu, which completely undermined the original gesture.
Overall, the experience felt poorly handled from start to finish. The lack of contingency planning, combined with the later expectation of additional payment, was extremely disappointing — particularly given the importance of the event.
Sadly, we would not use this service again or recommend it to others.

As communicated at the time, we were extremely sorry for the disruption caused by the chef being unable to attend your event the day before it was due to take place. We appreciate that this was a significant occasion for your family and understand the frustration and disappointment this caused.
You kindly gave us flexibility across both lunch and dinner over the weekend to try and resolve the issue, however unfortunately none of our alternative chefs were able to accommodate the event within the timeframe due to existing commitments.
Given the circumstances, we were determined to create an opportunity to make this right and therefore offered you a complimentary future service up to the full value of your original booking (£369.55). This was clearly confirmed in writing by our Client Lead at the time.
Whilst situations like this are extremely rare, we feel it is important to take accountability when they do occur. Offering a complimentary replacement service of this nature is not something commonly seen across the hospitality sector, however we feel it is extremely important to do so as it holds us to account, ensures our team do everything possible to resolve issues when they arise, and also demonstrates to clients that situations like this cannot be a regular occurrence, as no business could sustainably operate that way if they were.
There does, however, need to be a defined limit to that goodwill gesture, and at no stage was an unlimited future booking value offered or implied. The credit was specifically tied to the value of the original cancelled event.
More recently, you contacted us to arrange a new booking which totalled over £420, higher than the original event value. When this was raised, we then agreed to cover the additional balance as a further gesture of goodwill.
Whilst we fully accept responsibility for the original cancellation, we do ask that any public feedback accurately reflects the full context of the situation and the resolutions offered throughout.
We are genuinely sorry again for the disruption caused last year and disappointed that we have not had the opportunity to restore your confidence in the service.

This is the 2nd time we have used Dineindulge and will use them again.Booking is easy and menu choice is extensive . The Chef contact was 1st class - alerted to approx arrival time - which was exact and the meal was suburb and enjoined by all 14 guests.He left the kitchen in very tidy condition.Really Brilliant.thanks to All.

The food was absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated the care taken to accommodate everyone’s dietary needs so thoughtfully. Everything was delivered promptly and seamlessly, which made the whole experience feel effortless from our side.
A special mention as well for taking care of the clean-up afterwards—it truly made us feel like royalty and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the moment.

There are loads of options for different budgets, tastes and chosen experiences. Booking was easy and straight-foward.
As a small comment - there is a lot of communication coming from the business. Which can be great, but can also be overwhelming.
