Honestly a great experience

Honestly a great experience. It was easy to find glasses to fit me and suit my style, I used the next day delivery as my old glasses were very wrong and I needed a solution fast. The only criticism I have is that I didn’t receive a glasses case which for £90 glasses should have been included imo. Thank you anyway and I will use this company again!

Lacking quality control

The prescription is good and I can see well, but they are very uncomfortable as one nose pad has a sharp extra bit of plastic sticking out of the bottom and a rough unfinished edge and it has rubbed my nose raw.

I'm not impressed. I spent £120 on one pair of glasses and they couldn't even check the pad. There's no way someone could have fitted it without feeling the knife sharp bit at the bottom.

I won't buy from here again.

I ordered my first pair of distance…

I ordered my first pair of distance glasses from direct site I have a complex prescription so I opted for their cheapest frame but paid for the gold thinner lens , when the glasses arrived I was apprehensive but they are perfect,I also ordered a pair with the same prescription from my opticians that I have used for years they cost me £187.00 ,the pair I got off direct site £51.00
I will definitely purchase off direct site gain .thank you

What can I say

What can I say , I gave the wrong prescription, I phone and ask if any thing can be done , was told to send back the glasses with a copy of the prescription that I would like . And they changed them free of charge,
I did expect to pay something, was not charged a penny.
The glasses are fabulous,

I only gave one star because there is…

I only gave one star because there is no zero star option. Website purchase portal poor, address details not auto fill and manual fill omits critical info i.e. street and house number. Poor delivery and still no glasses after 2 weeks. Finally glasses arrived after this request from Trustpilot but they are excellent. Purchasing protocol needs attention.

CSR started off weell but my glasses…

CSR started off weell but my glasses aarived with the wrong lens.. Bit of a let down oever all. The rushed the remake but the 2nd pair turned wth the frame completely warped!

Order NOT fulfilled and Co has been dissolved

Ordered new lenses for my glasses, then they charged extra payments, then delivery was very late (which they attributed to the new lenses being rejected at quality control, hence they were being replaced again). After the glasses were returned it transpired that (a) they had broken the frames and (b) the lenses were not fit for purpose. The Co. was then dissolved but the website is open for orders.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback - we’re sorry to hear about your experience and that you felt the lenses were not fit for purpose. They were manufactured to the customised specifications provided when the order was placed, including standard lens thickness.

The additional charges applied to your order were due to Prism being included in the prescription, which does carry an additional cost, as outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

The delay in initial delivery was indeed due to the lenses being rejected during Quality Control - while we understand this was disappointing, this step is in place to ensure high standards and was followed by a remake at no extra cost to you.

On receipt of your order, you advised that the rim of your frame was split and that the prescription did not meet your needs for distance, intermediate and near vision. After reviewing your order upon return, we confirmed to you that you had selected Occupational Varifocals, which are specifically designed for office use - providing vision at intermediate and reading distances only.

If a frame is damaged while in our care, we inform our customers at the earliest opportunity and offer a replacement from our DS Collection at no additional cost. In your case, an exchange with an alternative frame and a remake to a standard Varifocal was offered to help resolve the issue but as no response was received following our attempts to reach out to resolve, the glasses were returned to you.

Rest assured, the company was not dissolved at the time of your order or purchase. We remain fully operational and committed to supporting all of our customers.

Inaccurate and inconsistent info on website

On 30 December 2024 I ordered some glasses for my partner at a cost of £197.93. There were some problems with the fit of the glasses and their suitability for her face. Their website says that, whilst bespoke lenses cannot be refunded, frames can be. After some toing and froing the problem was resolved by my partner supplying an old set of existing frames and the lenses being fitted in them. Direct Sights frames were returned but they are refusing to refund the cost of them being £29.

As you mentioned, we were able to assist by reglazing your partner’s existing frames and remaking the bespoke lenses originally ordered - all at no additional cost. We’re pleased this led to a satisfactory outcome.

Regarding the refund for the original Direct Sight frames: as per our policy, frames are refundable if returned unused and unaltered within the returns period. In this instance, the lenses had already been fitted into the frame and adjustments were made to accommodate your partner’s left ear. This meant the frame could no longer be restocked or resold, and therefore does not qualify for a refund.

We always strive to offer the fairest resolution and regret any misunderstanding. I can confirm that your full return postage cost of £13.85 was reimbursed.

Can't recommend

Customer service was initially good, but my glasses arrived with one lense incorrect/not my own prescription. Even though the paperwork included stated it was my correct prescription. The second time around my order was expediated, but when they arrived, my frame was stretched out of shape.

I had great service and communication…

Still great

I've used direct sight for a number of years, and they have always been pretty good.
The only thing I dont like, is you can no longer get frames sent to you for nothing so you can try them on to find the perfect fit, you have to pay for them. Still the the customer service is really good, Maria and Zoe are really helpful and lovely.

Excellent quality, friendly

Excellent company, has a wide range of good quality frames and good quakity lens, well priced and friendly knowledgeable staff. I had some prescription glasses from them a couple of years ago and still usintg them, now having new lens as my presception has changed as my eye sight is better! I can and do recommend them.

Amazing service from start to finish

Such an amazing service from Maria. This lovely lady went above and beyond to help me secure my sunglasses prior to going on holiday after I had basically left it too late. The communication from order to dispatch was fantastic. The frame choice is great and the sizing guides are really helpful to match to your current glasses.
