My experience with Discovery world treekig was extremely positive. The entire Everest base camp and Gokyo lakes trek project was carried out flawlessly and with a great deal of professionalism from the owner, guide and porter. I definitely recommend them with a positive rating.

Discovery World Trekking is everything you would want in a trekking company.

We went on a 17 days Everest Base Camp and 3 Passes through them and the team was great all around. Our EBC 3 Passes crew was made up of 5 incredible souls including guide, assistant guide and 3 porters. Great shout out to our great guide Mansing :)

Mansing was such a compassionate, motivating, knowledgeable and professional guide. I had diarrhoea on the first 2 days of the hike and he was very encouraging during the 2 days as I was walking my way behind the group. I remembered him telling me “Geraldine, no rush, just take your time”. He even offered to carry my backpack and always walking behind me.

I would highly recommend Discovery World Trekking to anyone who plans to hike in Nepal!

Thank you to Discovery for presenting the beautiful culture and mountains of Nepal. The trip was superbly managed by Paul at HQ and on the ground, expertly led by Lead Guide Mansing. He ran the team of 1 assistant guide and 3 porters for the 5 of us amazingly well. Even in the challenging events of weather causing havoc with our flights to Lukla, he was always calm. Paul as the owner of Discovery presented a rock of calmness in the head office , ensuring all challenges was met. Any member not feeling well was directly communicated. All options well presented and taken care of when option was chosen. I have been very impressed with the communication and human connections from Paul and Mansing.
The porters did an amazing job given the weight they had to carry, but go on with their jobs always with a smile and positive attitude. On a personal , the senior porter of Suman twice came to my help when I was struggling. Even after carrying his heavy load up Cholas Pass and then at up hill at Lukla, he twice came down to help me with my backpack. Cholas Pass I was struggling with my energy level due to a bad cough. At Lukla last day I was hiking with a swollen foot. I am immensely greatly for both Mansing and Suman was being there for me. Mansing was rock of support, always sweeping at the end to ensure anyone not feeling great is not left behind and always encouraging . Always honest with his assessment, his expertise and knowledge of the mountains made him hugely respected in the group.
Thank you Discovery for this amazing adventure that brings life long memories. The mountains were simply breathtaking.

The manaslu circuit trek was an amazing experience! The trek was so beautiful and the nature was changing every day. The food along the trek was amazing and we got to chose from a meny for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our guide took well care of us and our porter did an amazing job! This will be a life long memory and I’m so happy that I got to do the trek! Paul from discovery world trekking did an amazing job with all the logistics around the tour, we got to attend an great information meeting beforehand and checklists to follow which was great! Thanks a lot for this experince discovery world trekking!

Just finished my 12 day Manaslu circuit trek. I want to thank Paul, our guide Prem and porter Beck for this incredible experience! All communication with Paul has been excellent and we felt safe and very well taken care of both before and during the trek by everyone involved. Discovery takes care of all bookings, permits etc required for the trek in advance. Our guide Prem took care of all food orders, checked us into our rooms and took good care of us on the mountain, making it a very smooth and enjoyable trip all the way from arriving at the airport to returning there as you do not have to worry about anything. Hike was challenging but so worth it and insanely beautiful with the varying landscape. All meals were big and very tasty, and accomodation great! The sleeping bag and down jacket which they provided kept us very warm and was much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

We started out with doing the Three Passes Trek + EBC with our guide, Ngima! Due to weather/flight issues, we were short two days and weren't sure what to do. Paul and Ngima were very helpful in giving us the options, which were to either wait longer for flights, take a helicopter for added cost, or take a jeep and hike from Paiya. We decided to take the jeep from Ramecchap to Paiya, and only lost two days, which was great because we heard people were waiting the entire week for good weather for Lukla flights.

Throughout the trip, our guide Ngima gave many helpful suggestions in making our trip a successful one. We had planned to do the trip clockwise, but Ngima advised us that going counter clockwise meant better weather and better acclimatization. We ended up going to EBC first and only needed a single acclimatization day in Namche! This was only possible because we followed our guide's advice.

Our guide, Ngima, was very helpful and kind during our trip. He made sure that we knew exactly what kind of a day we had coming up next, including telling us if there were any hard climbs on the way so that we were mentally prepared. He tailored our trek schedule according to our fitness/acclimatization level and what he felt we could handle. His knowledge of the trails, the names of the mountains, and even the history made our trip so much better! He made sure that we were healthy, eating well, and drinking enough water everyday. He even took the time to show us good picture spots and helped us take many pictures/videos for our memories.

Due to the weather issues, we were able to only do EBC + Gokyo Lakes and Cho La Pass, but despite that, I am extremely happy and satisfied with the adventure that we had with Discovery World Trekking! From the beginning (booking the trip) to the end of the trip, Paul made sure to be in contact with us and to answer any questions that we had. During the trip, he often checked on us through our guide to make sure everything was going well. His care and attention has also been crucial to our trip's success, because he made sure that all of our problems/needs were addressed quickly.

When we started planning our trekking in Nepal (EBC and Gokyo lakes) we had a look online at local agencies and Discovery World Trekking caught our attention for the very good reviews. We decided to reach out and Paul has been absolutely amazing, present and he gave us all the information we needed. We had no doubts about our choice and we couldn’t have chosen a better company.
Before getting to Nepal we had a video call with Paul who gave us very useful info about the trekking, insurance, motivation to complete the trekking and much more. As soon as we arrived in Kathmandu our amazing guide Anil was waiting for us at the airport. He was super kind since the first second and I must say that the whole experience was so special thanks to him. He speaks very good English and knows so many things about the mountains we saw along the way. He shared his knowledge along the way. We learnt a lot about Nepal and the country’s culture. He always went the extra mile to be sure we were ok and happy. He helped us during the trek when the trail was steep and hard.
We couldn’t have asked for a better person to share this adventure with.
I’d also like to take a moment to thanks Tillak, our porter. Always smiling, always kind and sweet. Their job is hard and I have never seen him complain.
Paul checked in on us during our 15 day trekking to make sure we were happy and satisfied and I found it reassuring.
I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to come to Nepal. You would be well taken care of and trust me it is important to be in good hands while you are doing such a hard trekking. Do not have second thoughts, you will be 100% satisfied!

My friend and I did the Annarpuna base camp trek with Discovery World Trekking. It’s absolutely amazing experience. The scenery along the treks is incredible. Special thanks to our guide Hari and porter Anmol who took great care on us and attended to our needs.

If you're going to do the Annapurna Circuit, choose Discovery World Trekking! We ran into other trekkers who would have preferred a guide - it's worth it! Itinerary, porter, and accommodation are all sorted so you can concentrate on acclimitising and taking in the views of the Annapurna's. Highly recommend our guide (Kaji), who got us through safely!

We had the most amazing trekking experience with Discovery World Trekking. From the beginning Paul was very responsive to our questions, and provided us with all the details we needed to make this a successful trip. As soon as we got out of the airport in Kathmandu, Nima, our guide, and a driver from the company received us and everything was smooth sailing from there on out. We did the Gokyo Lakes trek to EBC, and it was challenging but Nima motivated us and made everything possible. We will never forget this trip!

The Everest trek was the most beautiful experience of my life, and I've been on quite a few journeys. Entrusting myself to the care of Discovery World Trekking was a wise decision because I felt nurtured and treated like royalty. Kaji, my guide, and Lakman, the porter, took care of me with love and affection. Even when I fell ill, they went above and beyond to help me, and I greatly appreciate that. During the 12 days of trekking, I met many people, but few established such a harmonious relationship of friendship and professionalism as I did with my guide. Due to bad weather, my flight from Lukla was postponed twice, and Discovery World Trekking went out of their way to help me depart and rearrange the entire trip without any additional cost; they were fantastic. The trek itself was insane and incredible—12 intense days of walking in pristine nature, a real challenge but a journey that leaves something inside you forever, makes you reflect, and moves you. If you're considering the same trip, I highly recommend Discovery World Trekking; you'll have immediate contact, clear and concise answers, and excellent English proficiency.

Every step of the process was thoughtfully taken care of. Before the trek working with Paul was seamless. He was punctual with his responses and ensured we were prepared for the trek before arrival.

During the trek our guide, Simbir Rilli Ghale, and our porter, Suman Thapa, we’re phenomenal. I was a slow walker because of a recent injury and they stayed with me every step of the way - providing encouragement and understanding. It was a world class trip and I’m happy to report that our entire group made it to EBC without injury and in good spirits. I felt I really bonded with them both on the trek because it showed they really cared for my safety and spirits through the whole journey.

We were also partnered with 2 other groups on our EBC journey and everyone in those groups was a joy as well. Thank you Suresh Gurung, Kaji, Bam, Nima, Lakman!

I was lucky enough to do the ABC trek. I’m so grateful I chose discovery world trekking. My guide Parbhat was fantastic in every aspect of the trek. From making sure I was safe and warm every night to always having my water bottle full. His knowledge of the mountains was incredible. My Porter Manish was fantastic to always had a smile on his face which always made me feel safe. So if you’re looking to do a trek in Nepal I highly recommend discovery world trekking. Thank you Parbhat and Manish for helping me complete a dream.

We had an unforgettable trek to Everest Base Camp via the Gokyo Lakes organised by Discovery World Trekking. Paul was wonderful to deal with and helped us with our planning on Australia before we even arrived. We were then met at the airport by our wonderful guide for the trek Manish, who was always there to look after and encourage us. Along the way the trekking was tough at times but unforgettable, and we could not have done it without our wonderful porter Jagt. We would recommend this company to other considering EBC, especially in the shoulder period like February. They were extremely responsive and professional.

My husband and I walked from Phaplu up to Gokyo Lakes and then Everest Base Camp. This was a long trek through all sorts of weather and scenery. We were looked after by our guide Dharn and our porter Damar very well. Always thoughtful and kind. DWT came into there own when we couldn't fly out of Lukla. They made last minute arrangements for us to walk out and take jeeps back to Katmandu. It was a great trip.

Really great experience, it is definitely worth it. Experiencing the scenic Panorama and the culture of the local people. My guide took care of me very well and the Organisation of the agency was flawless. I am Definitely recommending this trek with this agency.

My friend and I did the EBC trek via Gokyo and Cho La pass. Prior to departure, Paul was very responsive and attentive to questions. Our guide, Siddhanta, was fantastic--he met us at the airport when we arrived, safely got us to our hotel and to the Lukla flight, and guided us daily on our trek. He was always eager to get us tea or food, was very knowledgeable about local flora and fauna, and taught us a lot about the beautiful country and culture of Nepal. His English was great! Our porter, Dorje Sherpa, quickly got the nickname of our "mountain hero." He was so kind, patient, and remarkably strong. On Cho La pass, the steepest and most intimidating part of the hike, he lugged our duffle bag all the way to the top and came down to meet us to take our day packs off our backs. He then hiked up with us so we could take water and snack breaks whenever needed. We couldn't have done it without both Siddhanta and Dorje! I can't wait to book my next adventure with Discovery World Trekking!

We had a really wonderful 12 day trip with Discovery to Everest base camp. Everything was organised very easily with Paul. The sleeping bags were really good! We had a lovely welcome at the airport and all transfers went smoothly.
Our guide Mansing was so very friendly, good fun and easy to get along with which made all the difference, he was all we could have hoped for. He met us at the airport and was with us from the beginning of our trip from Kathmandu. We met our wonderful porter Lachman, at Lukla airport.
Unfortunately for health reasons Mansing had to go to lower elevation on day 7 of our trek and could not continue with us...lucky for us however our lovely porter Lachman stepped up to the challenge of not only being our porter, but also now being our guide for the next 4 days! He was super and took care of everything. He knew exactly where to go and how to sort everything we needed. He was so friendly and very patient with us having to slow down his normal pace for us! When we arrived back in Namche on day 10 we were all reunited with Mansing who was feeling a bit better!
We'd highly recommend Discovery and in particular Mansing and Lachman to anyone. If we return we'll be personally requesting them! They make a great team and looked after us so well.. Hopefully Lachman will be made guide soon, as he's proven he so well deserves. They both made our trip so enjoyable, we're forever grateful!! Thank you :) Alicia & Shane

We had such a great experience with Discovery World Trekking, I can't recommend them enough. To start with, their standard itinerary for the Annapurna Circuit was set to allow proper acclimatization (instead of taking shortcuts) and that showed me that they take altitude sickness seriously (and it paid off, we had zero issues with getting sick). The owner of the company, Paul, had great communication from the start, providing all kinds of helpful resources and being quick to answer questions via WhatsApp or email. For the trek itself, our guide, Nabin, and our porter, Niraj, were absolutely wonderful. Nabin was very experienced, responsible, attentive and caring - we always felt like we were in good hands. It can be a tricky balance to find a guide who has the knowledge and experience of a professional, but is also kind and patient enough to make you feel comfortable, and Nabin has that balance. Niraj had a wonderfully positive attitude while carrying our things, singing along the way. I appreciated that he walked with us the whole time and was good friends with Nabin - it made us feel slightly less guilty about him carrying our bags. Someone in Kathmandu had made a comment to us about all trekking guides being the same but I disagree - DWT is top notch!
