Very tough trek, but discovery world made it an enjoyable experience for us through their good planning and experience

We had the best experience with Discovery World Trekking hiking Annapurna Base Camp Trek during 6 days. Paul was the most accommodating while planning the itinerary to our needs, having several video calls before arriving to Nepal; once in the country he kept checking on us even before starting the trek. Our guide, Suresh, and porter, Durga, were the most incredible hosts. They showed us Nepali culture, they were caring and fun and by the end of the trip they became friends we are hoping to see soon again. Doing the trek with Suresh and Durga truly made not only the final destination beautiful, but the entire trek an unforgettable experience. I truly recommend Discovery World Trekking and I really hope I can do another trek with them very soon in the future.

We did the Annapurna base camp trek in March 2023. Our guides Dol and Hem Nath were both very proficient at guiding us and eventhough we had unseasonal bad weather (snow) on the way up into ABC their expert pacing and also their guidance helped to ensure we made it safely.

Unbelievable experience! I can not recommend booking through DWT enough. Paul is incredibly organized, helpful, and responsive. Having everything set up for us allowed us to focus on enjoying the trek, which was a once in a lifetime experience. We had Prem as our guide and he was AMAZING. He was helpful for the entirety of the trek and was incredibly friendly

My friend and I just completed the Everest Base Camp trek. From the beginning we were welcomed at the airport and met our guide Chhanda Ghale who was amazing! They drove us to our hotel and then we met the owner of Discovery World Trekking to ensure we had the proper equipment and understanding of what our 14 day trekking trip would look like. The next day we flew out to Lukla and started our trekking adventure. At the Lukla airport we met our porter Dilli who was also amazing and he was always so positive while helping us get through our trek. On day 8 we got to Everest Base Camp and it was the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done because it was such a personal challenge. Our guide Chhanda Ghale was always positive and encouraging when we would be trekking as some days were harder than others he was so patient and personable. During this whole experience the teamwork was incredible between the guide Chhanda Ghale the porter Dilli and Paul who is the owner of the company. Everyone was so personable and I can’t recommend this company enough to anyone who wants to do this trek. Paul was always a phone call away from being reached and that gave me peace of mind.

We did the 11 day Gokyo Ri Trek in February and had a fantastic time. The views were incredible and we were really well looked after by our guide Dol and porter Jagat. Dol's relaxed easy-going attitude made the trek really enjoyable and Jagat gave us a beautiful musical performance which was really special!
When our flight back to Kathmandu was cancelled due to bad weather, Paul arranged a helicopter to collect us for a good price. Would recommend using Discovery World Trekking if you're hiking in Nepal!

Our experience with Discovery World Trekking was absolutely incredible, from start to finish. Paul, the owner, gave us a personal briefing and gave us any information we may need ahead of the journey. He is very professional and experienced and put us at ease immediately. Our guide, Simbir, and porter, Durga, were exceptional. They took care of everything for us and looked after us so well from the bus journey there to getting to our final hotel. I can't recommend this company enough. The trek itself was spectacular. I would highly recommend the ABC trek. It is quite challenging in places and as a beginner I did struggle in places, but it was so worth the effort! Thank you Discovery, we will be back!

ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP. This was a great trek superbly organised and managed by DWT. From meeting me at the airport i was looked after all the way. Great views, great treking, great value

I had a wonderful time exploring the Annapurna region doing the Annapurna circuit with Tilicho lake. Paul and the team at discovery world trekking was very organized and responsive in preparation of the trek and even checking in during the trek. The guide Siddhanta and porter were very attentive and kind. Had a great experience and would recommend this beautiful trek.

My friend and I just completed the Annapurna circuit trek, and I would definitely recommend discovery world trekking! Since it wasn’t peak season it was just a small group - two of us plus our guide, Saroz, and porter, Raj. They were so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and overall it was an incredible experience :)

We have just completed the Annapurna circuit and have had a fantastic experience. Discovery World Trekking made the process exceptionally easy and were very organised. Our guide Saroz and porter Raj were extremely helpful and attentive. We could not have done the trip without them. The whole team at Discovery World Trekking ensured that this was an amazing two weeks that was completely hassle free.

If you are looking for a trek company to guide you to EBC or any other trek in Nepal Discovery World Trekking is the company to go with. Since my first email until our meeting one day before the Trek started Paul always answered all my questions and made me feel confident about booking the trek with his company. I got really lucky and I had the best guide and porter to help me during the Trek. Man Sing (guide) and Harka (porter) were always helpful and we had so much fun together during the trek. Unfortunately I got sick the day before reaching EBC and I had to go back down, but the people I met, the things I learned, the every minute breathtaking views I saw and everything in between were worth more than reaching EBC and I'll never forget this incredible experience.

We specifically looked for a trek that was suitable for a family with kids, and man, did we get a treat! Paul organised a fantastic trek to Poon Hill, Ghorepani and Tadepani. Our girls (11 and 12) had the experience of a lifetime and were cared for by a highly experienced guide and porters. Thank you so much Dol, Durga and Gorkun!!! The trek was not too hard and the food was excellent. The trekking was in December, but the cold wasn't that bad. We can highly recommend the Dhal Bat for lunch and dinner ;). I highly recommend Discovery World Trekking to anyone interested in trekking in Nepal. The price is fair, the guys have decades of experience, a big smile and always go the extra mile to get you a great experience. Our girls look back to a trip they will never forget.

Our experience with Discovery World Trekking was excellent. Paul worked very hard to make sure all our questions were answered before we joined his company in Kathmandu. We were four people who had originally planned to travel independently but found DWT and benefitted from Paul and his staff's experience and professionalism. Paul was helpful, calm, respectful and professional and arranged everything from the storage of spare gear to airport transfers will ease.
Our Guide, Simbir, was always professional, positive, encouraging and supportive. His experience allowed us to modify our plans at short notice and Simbir took care of everything. He was always available, willing to help and did so with a smile.
Our Porters, Bijay and Dill were brilliant. Not only did they match our pace with ease, they were also near us to help if we slipped or tripped, quick to help if rocky boulder sections, helpful getting water and serving us food (is that their job?), and never complained (in English :-)
We had a very enjoyable experience with the DWT Team and it saved us a lot of issues booking flights, arranging transfers, finding accommodation and relating to the local Nepalis.

Great trek to the Annapurna circuit with Simbir and his crew of trusty porters! Strongly recommended!

We had a great experience with Discovery World Trekking and used them for our Annapurna Circuit trek. Paul customized the itinerary to fit our needs and be able to fully enjoy the trek. Dol was a great guide and made adjustments to account for the health and fitness of some of us. Everyone worked hard to ensure we had the best experience possible and able to complete the trek with no issues.

I would highly recommend using Discovery World Trekking for your Himalayan adventure! We used them for an 11 day trek on the Annapurna Circuit and were very satisfied with the accommodations that were provided, the communication, and the guide and porters that were assigned to us. Everyone was super friendly and worked hard to make sure we had the best experience possible!

Working with Paul to organize a custom itinerary for hiking the Annapurna Circuit was easy and seamless. My group had a tight window with specific start/end dates as we had to plan around wedding festivities, and I'm happy to say it all worked out perfectly. Paul also had our luggage transported from Kathmandu to our hotel in Pokhara while we were on the trek. I would definitely recommend Discovery World Trekking.

We had a good experience and were able to be accommodated based on our fitness levels and health throughout the trek. Dol was a great guide for us and checked on us throughout high altitude to make sure we were doing okay and taking our time. Prabath and Umesh were great porters and were doing many helpful things for us throughout the trek as well. We were able to deliver some luggage in advance to Pokhara in advance and were pleased that the luggage was at the hotel when we arrived in town after the trek.
