This company has the WORST CUSTOMER…

This company has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. Our DISH service has not been using the satellite connection we are paying for. Instead, it says it cannot connect, and it uses our internet instead. This is internet we are paying for from Starlink. We pay for the DISH SATELLITE connection and do not get it. So, I contact DISH tech help, they told me to go do something on the Hopper, and after I had done it, which was difficult BTW, the guy had hung up on me. It was difficult to get through to a human, and i had to start all over again. The second human I got, basically did the same thing. He sent a fleeting image of some number to call to get a new Hopper, then hung up on me. Issue not resolved, no closure. I had told both that I had a second issue as well. The third guy, well, he did not hang up on me because I had copied/pasted a message: PLEASE DO NOT HANG UP ON ME LIKE THE LAST 2 "AGENTS" DID. PLEASE DO NOT HANG UP. and used it often during the CHAT. Still, he could not resolve the issue and said I have to call when the issue is happening. Well, I had done that, but the human help is only available during standard office hours, not in the evenings when we can watch TV. So, really bad service, no technical help, and two out of three tech help persons very rude. BTW the second issue I had was that DISH would not let me record the President's news conference this day, on either of the news channels. What is that about?

Dish Network billing department is…

Dish Network billing department is getting out of hand 2 days ago January 1st new year 2026 I set up a credit card payment for automatic payment each month to pay for my cable TV bill that due on the 11th of each month. I can't believe they snatched my money out of my credit visa card account the same day on January 1st. SMDH!!! Acting like they don't know what a due date means or when payment should be remove. I tried contacting Dish Network all I keep getting is they're busy and the wait time is over 45min wait and that they'll hold my place in line and call me, which never happened. My credit card now is zero out I needed that
$164.16 to buy me food, everything now is expensive I ain't got any money on my card after just working a 6 day straight non stop, tireless and getting off work couldn't even buy nothing to eat because they zero my account and the Cable bill is not due until the 11th of January I'm very disappointed how all business cares about is feeding the business making money and getting greedy. I'm a longtime customer with Dish Network. They need to fix this and better not lie that it was a error to cover themselves.

HORRIBLE DISCONNECT EXPERIENCE

While trying to disconnect service today, after being a loyal customer for 17 years, I was harassed and bullied into trying to have me keep their service.
The guy wouldn't simply say thank you for being a customer, if you need us in the future.
Instead he got my blood boiling.
He found it funny that I was getting angry with him.
22 minutes after being on the phone for a simple disconnect, the ordeal was over.
I wouldn't recommend Dish Network to ANYONE!!

Horrible Customer Service

I have been a long standing dish customer and they never used to be like this and their quality of service and customer service has gone down the gutter. Recently I called about an issue and customer service told me they have created a ticket for my issue and someone will call me and let me know and when I asked how long I was told it can be a week and 2 weeks have gone by and no call and when tried to call back long wait times and bots moving me around and it has become difficult to quickly get hold of a live person. Very disappointed instead of trying to resolve my issue the lady kept asking me about my wireless service to switch to boost which I was not interested at all. Instead of being a customer centric company it’s all about sales sales sales it’s like negative pressure and trying to push something to the customer. While my issue is still unresolved and why do you have CS in another country and couldn’t understand me properly I had to repeat myself several times?

The only thing that’s on time without failure is the bill but everything else has gone down.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience ever!!! I recently WASTED 45 minutes of my time with a Dish Customer Service Representative who could care less what I was saying and just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. She sounded like she was reading from a script. Very frustrating experience. I’m leaving Dish as soon as possible. Stay away and save yourself future aggravation.

I tried to cancel the lady said she would give me 1 month free then Dish was going to charge me 90.00 for that month they said i had to pay for local channels who would pay 90 dollars for local channels and another thing they locked me out so i didnt even have it for my "free" month. so basically im being charged for something i didnt even have.

BAIT & SWITCH

I called Dish to cancel, and they offered a lower-priced package, it was supposed to be the same as I had currently. When I went online and checked my account, I saw that they had switched me to a flex account. BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC, if I would not have checked this and cancelled within 24 hours I would have been stuck in a 24 month contract. NEVER GOING BACK TO DISH

Dish has some good things but local…

Dish has some good things but local sports programming is awful. We had spectrum and we live in Wisconsin on fan duel. We would get Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers games most of the time Minnesota Wild NHL games. We have NHL center ice and the Wild game was blacked out yet unlike spectrum there was nowhere to watch it! We thought spectrum was bad so we switched. Not a great move!

When I called to cancel for the end of…

When I called to cancel for the end of my billing cycle (2 weeks away) I was cut off from all programs. When I called back I was told this couldn't be undone and I would receive a credit for the 2 weeks within 3 days. I was also told returning equipment would charge $25. I returned all equipment immediately upon receiving the box and received confirmation from Dish they received it. My billing cycle ended on 11-23-25. I was turned off on 11-11-25 without my permission and have never received a refund. I feel cheated and I would not recommend Dish to anyone.

35yrs and cancelled they are horrible

Client for over 35 years keep changing prices using promotions, then raise the price becase promotion is done and have to call to look for another promotion AND they extend your contract. A joke. It’s a game I’m no longer playing Cancelled after 35 years because I’m not going to fight them for lower fees after hiking my service every 10-12 months.

If you have an expensive 4k TV

If you have an expensive 4k TV, DO NOT use Dish! I was having issues with Youtube TV so signed up for Dish. Within two days and watching a football game, realized that was a BIG mistake. Picture quality is not even close to Youtube streaming. Now I get to pay their ridiculous early termination fee.

Been nine day so far and no TV

Been nine day so far and no TV. Receiver stopped working. They sent me another one and that doesn't work. Tech was supposed to come to the house today but did not come. No phone call, text or email. Won't be for three more days before he comes now. Customer service sucks.

I canceled my dish

I canceled my dish. Then October 24 they took 126 out of my account then I was disconnected on November 12. They sent me the box 10 days later to send back everything and then they charge me 55.48$for no reason on the 24th took it out of my account with me not knowing about it can’t get in touch with them because the account is closed so don’t believe anything. They just money hungry. I didn’t owe them anymore money. They make it to hard to get your money back. So they suck more money out of your account!!

DISH refuses to fix what it breaks.

I’ve been a DISH customer for over 20 years, and the way they handled my recent issue is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.

DISH’s own equipment suddenly locked me out of years of recordings stored on a DISH-supported external USB drive. This drive was purchased because DISH promoted that feature, and it has never been used with any other receiver or account. One day it simply stopped working, claiming it was “configured for another account”—which is impossible. This is clearly a DISH system or authentication error, not anything I did.

When I contacted DISH, the first representative said the issue would be escalated to engineering. Three months passed with zero follow-up. When I called again, the next representative avoided escalation entirely, offered no solutions, and kept repeating, “We’re still providing you service,” as if losing years of paid-for recordings didn’t matter.

DISH’s A+ BBB rating exists only because they respond to complaints—not because they resolve them. Their real performance is reflected in their 1.11/5 customer review score with nearly a thousand reviews, which is a much more accurate measure of how they treat customers.

Their final answer to me? A $50 credit for the permanent loss of content I paid them to allow me to record. They refused to investigate the error, refused to restore access, and refused to offer meaningful compensation. They even claimed DISH “does not support hard drives,” despite having long advertised and documented external USB recording as a feature.

In short: DISH broke a feature they sold, denied responsibility, and dismissed a long-time customer with a token credit. It’s clear they no longer value customers, their loyalty, or the integrity of the services they advertise.

I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If DISH fails, you’ll be left on your own.

Dish Cancellation

I was told on the phone that Dish was not available in my area, when I called to cancel their are charging me $ 350. for cancellation fee even though I was told but a customer service rep that dish wasn’t available. I called and talked to a supervisor and she said she couldn’t take away the fee. Big surprise with “ The computer would let me do it”
Do not go with dish, I have nothing but issues with then.

Frauds!

Frauds!
Dish network promised a refund to my dad's estate after an automatic charge after he died, but instead after nearly 8 months of me calling repeatedly and being told a refund was being sent, decided they were going to defraud my father's estate when they knowingly charged him after his passing. I would rate them a 0 and hope that other people do not use this company. No one deserves to be treated this way. I've wasted countless hours of my time speaking to these people. Even when I had Dish over 10 years ago, I experienced extremely poor customer service and overcharging. There are better options. Please save yourself the stress.

The Dish company is not so good …BUT

The Dish company is not so good …BUT, here in Port Charlotte, Fl, we had a technician named Gonzalo who went WAY above and beyond. I would definitely recommend him for any Dish job.
I was supposed to get a survey FROM Dish but never did so I couldn’t let Dish know directly. I hope they see this. Gonzalo deserves accolades AND a raise!!! He wouldn’t leave until everything was RIGHT. After TWO other techs tried and failed, Gonzalo fixed us. I would recommend him specifically if I could. I just don’t know how.

Terrible Installation and Customer Service – Unsafe and Unprofessional

Dish Network came out to install service at my home and did a completely unacceptable job. They ran wires along the sides and front of my house without my permission, damaging my siding in the process. Even worse, they strung wires across my stairs in an unsafe way, which caused people to trip and get hurt.
When I called Dish to fix the mess, they refused to send anyone out, so I ended up having to pay someone else to repair their mistakes. Despite all of this, Dish has not reimbursed me for the siding damage and even had the nerve to charge me a cancellation fee after everything I went through.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and costly. The installation was unsafe, the damage was ignored, and the customer service has been terrible. I would strongly caution anyone considering Dish Network — they do not stand behind their work or care about their customers’ safety or property.
