Visited the National aquarium, shark dive. Really enjoyed it, not cheap but had a good instructor who recorded the experience. A one off but happy to recommend.

Just a note at first was not able to book because of Ramadan timings. The guys at Al Mahara went out of their way to organize this . Well done 👍

This weekend was memorable due to:
- Great weather conditions
- Well organised logistics
- kindness and support in particular Xander all Al Mahara staff
- clear dive briefing of Alister
- Lima staff really nice
- divers mood on top
- dolphins festival

I can't speak more highly of the weekend diving in the Musandam organized by the folks at Al Mahara Diving Center. It was like a dream. The Al Mahara Family -- as that is what they are -- are just about friendliest team you are ever likely to encounter, and much fun to boot. The dives were varied, the briefings before detailed, and the supervision of the dives was excellent. I would dive with Al Mahara anywhere in a heartbeat.

My colleagues and I had a lovely dive and snorkel trip last weekend. Al Mahara took such good care of us above and below water. This family run dive center is unbelievably passionate about what they do. The environment is so friendly and the learning never stops. I always recommend this dive center to friends and this trip to Mussandem with them is one of the best in the region.

Just returned from an excellent weekend dive trip to the mussandem. The instructors were great, giving advice and assistance whenever required. The pre dive explanation was concise and clear, and gave a good indication of what we might expect. The dhow and crew were at hand all the time to assist of and on, and sorted all the gear for us. Food was delicious and varied, including a BBQ Saturday night! Would highly recommend

Everytime I dive with Al Mahara everyone is very friendly and atmosphere is always welcoming, I enjoy diving with them and would highly recommend others to dive with them as well.

I’m a UAE resident and an avid SCUBA diver living in Abu Dhabi since last summer. Having earned my PADI Open Water certification many decades ago, I chose to re-energize my diving experiences using Al Mahara Dive Center.

Affiliated with Al Mahara when I lived here in 2011, I chose them at that time because of their solid reputation as a “top-shelf” 5-Star PADI Dive Center in the MENA region.

So, back again as a returning customer after 10+ years, Al Mahara remains the professional and down-to-earth dive center I remembered.

Earning my Master SCUBA Diver, and most recently, Dive Master certifications - I’m now pursuing Free Diver and SCUBA Instructor certifications from the Al Mahara Team.

Kathleen, owner and PADI Dive Center Director, Peter - PADI Master SCUBA Diver Instructor, and the rest of the dive center team provides customers with an experience base of tens of thousands of logged dives and over 125 years of total diving experience. That’s not only an amazing fact, but it’s what keeps Al Mahara at the leading edge of the local diving community.

Organizing local, regional, and international dive trips - Kathleen and her Al Mahara Team brings the best possible diving experiences to AD divers. Participating myself, in many regional dives to, for example, Oman - the instructional dive team delivers first-class preparation, logistics, SCUBA equipment, local dive briefings, and guidance.

As an “eco-friendly” business, Al Mahara partners with local environmental groups by organizing dozens of clean-up/fun dives in and around Abu Dhabi waters.

Ever expanding the diving market, Al Mahara is unique by delivering the SCUBA experience to the young, elderly, veterans, and people of determination.

I strongly recommend visiting the dive center and see for yourself. Schedule a recreational or training dive using one of their many dive boats or just check out the diving gear there. The well stocked dive shop can quickly obtain specialized items in a couple days from an expansive supply network.

I cannot recommend Al Mahara enough to both those new to diving or veteran divers within our community. You’ll be impressed.

After diving with a lot of dive centers all around the UAE, Al Mahara is by far one of my favorites, and one of only two I regularly dive with.

Kathleen, the family, and the team have made it such a personal experience that I now feel I’m a friend and not a customer. I almost haven’t skipped any East Coast or Musandam trips for the last 6 months, plus a few ones in Abu Dhabi, not to mention all the other special occasions dives and gatherings.

I’ve also seen how they cater to all levels of divers and enhance their experience, from customizing dives to gear rental, for which they have a very good stock. I also witnessed a few courses and saw how professional and accommodating the team is. They really take care of their divers.

Al Mahara is definitely the #1 dive center in Abu Dhabi, and one of the best in UAE.

Al Mahara diving center is just the best! The amount of hard work to make sure everyone, where attended and taken care of and attended, is amazing. I also, appreciate the friendliness and genuineness of each one. The knowledge that they put into every student and celebrating every successful step we made, make us confident underwater. I am glad to be part of this diving community and would always love to recommend this amazing dive center. Kathleen and her Al Mahara team are amazing. I started with Open Water and went all the way to PADI Instructor! The Instructor Development Course especially was great and Kathleen and Peter prepared me to pass with flying colors. Above the required teaching, I really love their dedication to the environment and all they do to improve it from reusable water bottles, dive against debris dives and countless beach clean-ups! Hats off to them!

Thank you for your professionalism and knowledge. The IDC at Al Mahara more than prepared me for the instructor exams. I learned much more than I ever expected. I was able to brush up on my weak areas and become more confident in my diving knowledge. I did my IDC with these guys and the amount of hard work which was put in to make sure each and every scenario is covered, made sure I pass the exam in the first attempt.
The tireless practices in water and out of water and also all the presentation preps made me quite comfortable when it was time to sit for my IE. I couldn't believe the fact that I was able to clear all exams theory and water scenarios with confidence. All of this wouldn't have been possible without the team which was behind me till the very end and has now become my diving family.
