It's worth paying for custom prescription lenses

A couple of weeks ago I made my first ever dives, at the Perhentian Islands, Malaysia, and my new mask worked perfectly. In no time at all it was almost like I wasn't wearing a mask (or spectacles) at all. Everything was completely clear. I had been a bit late placing the order, so I'd been worried the mask wouldn't arrive in time, but DiveSight kept me informed, and hit the deadline - just! But in case they didn't, I also bought a mask with 'off the shelf' lenses, and I can report that DiveSight's custom lenses give much clearer vision than the 'generic' lenses. Worth the money - but do order in plenty of time!

Sent my own mask and Dive Sight put in the prescription

The lenses I had put into the mask I sent to Dive Sight are perfect. I have used a lenses mask for probably twenty years and the service, video information and notifications I received from Liam were just right. I would highly recommend Dive Sight. Just make sure you ask your optician to give you your pupil distance as that takes any stress away from you!

Well worth it but wait for the offers and order well in advance.

Having poor eyesight , i was recommended Dive Sight by Dive90.
The ordering process was very easy and initial communication was great with the videos. After 4 weeks and nearing my trip i did start to wonder if the mask was ever going to come but it did and i am very pleased. I'd have given 5 stars except for the lack of communication and sending me a 50% off prescription lenses after i'd placed an ordered!!
My trip to the Maldives has been totally enhanced, as i can now see the amazing sealife. Thank you Dive Sight.

I’ve just ‘christened’ my new mask this…

I’ve just ‘christened’ my new mask this morning, in the Red Sea in Abu Soma. Although it was ‘quite an investment’, it was money well spent. I’m delighted with the mask, and grateful to Dive Sight for their excellent service - much appreciated!

Happy customer

Easy ordering process, and lots of help and communication in the run-up to purchasing a mask. I ordered a franklin split mask due to my high prescription, and it arrived within the 28 days specified on their website. Got a deal when they were offering a 20% discount which I appreciated as it's an expensive purchase.

Once I'd ordered, communication did slow down and then stop completely until it was sent. Their website does promise regular updates, but I only had one at the beginning with a video of the current stage. It was easy enough to log in to my account and check to make sure the order was still being processed, so I wasn't too worried. Having never purchased a prescription mask before I have no idea whether or not this is the usual type of service, but felt that if I'd been concerned I could have emailed them and received a quick response.

The mask itself is exactly what I was hoping for, and it was great to be able to see properly when I put it on! Overall very happy so far, and look forward to using my mask on holiday.

Stay away from this company!

This the second time I have sent my mask to be fitted with corrective lenses, unfortunately both have come back and both been have not been fit for purpose as the lenses are to high in the mask.
I have emailed and rang up so many times, but to no avail.
So dissatisfied two perfectly new masks ruined!
All I get is emails asking me to rate this company so here it is!
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Great product but customer experience needs work

I have used divesight before, 2 years ago and the service was great, I sent my mask away for a franklin split before a holiday and it was returned within 10 days, during which time I had lots of updates to let me know which stage of the process my mask was in.

Cue to now, 2 years later my prescription has changed and my wife now also needs a prescription mask. I read some recent reviews, and took note of the bad ones referencing delays and lack of communication. A quick call to DS to discuss turnaround times and based on my previous experience we placed an order for 2 franklin split masks, not an unreasonable amount of money.

This time the turnaround time was over 5 weeks, not bad for custom work you may think (DS state 28 days in their TOB's) however the customer experience has been terrible. Unlike my previous experience this time there were no updates which after 3 weeks began to make me very worried that our masks were not going to be returned in time. Phone calls go unanswered, emails not replied to, whatsapp messages ignored. Only when my wife messaged Liam on facebook did we get a reply, along with what seemed as a made up story about the masks being sent back to them via return to sender causing a delay.

At no point did there seem to be any compassion or understanding from them. Unfortunately divesight have a bit of a monopoly on this market which may mean that their business is now overrun compared to my first experience, or they are becoming complacent.

I really hope that divesight make some big improvements to their customer experience moving forward, I will pay much closer attention to their reviews when my prescription needs updating next time.

The product is good which is why I have given them 3 stars, but if based on customer service alone it would be much lower, lets hope they can improve in this area.

New Diving Mask

From ordering my mask communication was very good. I received regular updates during manufacture and notification when the mask was dispatched. I received the mask two days later by recorded delivery.
I am delighted with the mask, precision workmanship and exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended.

Excellent service & product

Excellent service and 20:20 vision

Great service from beginning to end of the process and Liam was really helpful! I haven’t dived yet with the mask but trying it on on dry land, it’s just like looking through my varifocals ☺️

Awesome Service and Product

Awesome service and product. Sent a new TUSA mask to Dive Sight and was returned promptly with bi focal lenses bonded very neatly on to the large volume single lens mask. Communication was top notch and was a very good buying experience.

Tried it last week in Palau and was a game changer for seeing things at the limits of the vis. Was very pleased as would have missed seeing some big schools and creatures out in the blue.

Thank you for allowing me to make the most of my dives.

Life-changing for those with poor eyesight

Really good product - snorkelling in Raja Ampat is an absolute pleasure.

I was worried my mask wouldn’t arrive in time - do leave longer than a few weeks - but it arrived before my holiday in Indonesia.

I had problems at first with the mask fogging terribly at first and was advised to burn it by a local dive shop. I’m so glad I didn’t.

It took a few emails to Liam who suggested the toothpaste and baby shampoo solutions and it’s now fantastic.

Excellent Service, mask and lenses

Excellent (TUSA) wide angle half mask and excellent set of presbyopic lenses. Online service was accurate and fast from 11000 miles away I UK and at 66 I finally have the underwater vision of a 39 year old again😂
It was such a joy to test it the first time after messing around with alternatives for so long.

I had thought about having lenses…

I had thought about having lenses fitted for a while , I’d tried the stick on ones , but they always fogged up . As an instructor it’s important to be able to read notes and dive slates - a chat with Liam on email and I took the plunge.
