Authentic sweets in reasonable price
I have ordered quite a variety of sweets, so haven't tasted all yet. But so far the ones I tried are so authentic, takes me to my city Varanasi & India. My kids really liked the milk cake and we as well. Hope to see more variety of sweets added in future.

The food is exceptional. Memories took me back to my childhood. Highly recommended. Especially great as gifts. Packaging is chic.
The only thing was that there was no option on the website to select the time to pick up the food. In the end, I called them and it went well. So, it would be great if the pick-up orders could become more streamlined.

The peda had no taste or flavors
The peda had no taste or flavors. The milk cake we tried earlier was good. But this time it was very different preparation. It felt semi cooked and also was also breaking too much.
I find the quality is inconsistent and it keeps changing. Last time we tried Rasmalai and it was hard as rock.

This is my reaction after reading the reply to review and after the owner called me to take down the review. I believe the first step towards the improvement of a business or service is to accept the feedback honestly and work on it. Conversely, the owner it seems wants only positive reviews and called me to say that if I don't have a positive review then I should take it down. To label my honest review 'as an angry reaction to ruin his business' is a reply to belittle and demonise customers feedback. I have had multiple instances in the past where the quality was not consistent and the taste was sub-par. I have given feedback in the past on the phone and this time I had ordered something for guests at home and it was embarassing for us to offer them food that was below standard quality. I hope you take this as a step towards improving the business and preparation and value customers feedback.

You have not tried to understand the real problem with the food, never acknowledged the quality issue and only tried to put the blame on customer -‘Not sweet to your taste’ If you think this helps the businesses grow then all the best!

Thanks for your feedback. You are one of the regular customers, and we understand it might be a bit disappointing if it was not up to your satisfaction. However, you should also understand that sending fresh products by post always has some risk of mishandling. We do not use any preservatives and artificial ingredients/colors. Each order is sent from a fresh batch, and at times, it might be too fragile (depending on the product and handling during post).
For Peda - From our conversation, I understand it was not sweet enough for your taste. However, that is a choice we have made with our recipes. We try to keep the white sugar low due to health reasons. You can always indicate your individual taste preferences under the order notes.
As far as "Rock Hard Ras Malai" is concerned, we issued a full refund to your order. As a business, there are only a few things that we can do if something goes wrong with an order - Offer a replacement or refund. That is exactly what we did, no questions asked! If you want to post an angry review to ruin someone's reputation, you should also mention the action taken by the business. That is the only fair way to post a review.

I am not sure what are you trying to prove? First off, we just called to understand what went wrong, and offered an explanation. Secondly, we didn't ask you to take down your review. Instead, it was a simple question - after our explanation, would you reconsider the review. To which, you said, I don't think so, and that was it. I didn't insist or argue . I am not sure how does it portray any of what you have mentioned above.
You have a right to post a review with your experience (good or bad), and as a business, we have right to post a response to explain the other other side of the story. The response was not meant to initiate a verbal war or "demonise" (BTW, interesting choice of word) your feedback.
While we are on the feedback, I would also like to point out - you never gave us any feedback on phone. You sent us a one liner email and we issued a full refund - no questions asked!
The only reason why we called was to understand the grievances and take necessary actions. In the response above, I have posted the exact same thing that I explained over the phone. I still do not want to argue or paint a wrong picture. You can still edit the review to post other things but we will maintain a dignified silence from here on, because we don't have anything to add.
