I had my DKN EZRUN Treadmill for about…

I had my DKN EZRUN Treadmill for about 2 years and the motor failed.. I contacted after sales and was told my machine only came with a 2 year warranty and was just out of this period I asked about where I could get a replacement motor and they put me in touch with a company. They no longer provide spare parts for DKN machines.
Trying to get a replacement motor for these DKN treadmills is hard work.. I’ve had to look at buying a new Treadmill My advice would be to buy a well know make, then spare parts won’t be a problem..

Frame metal fatigues and ripped after 3 years.

Machine lasted 3 years before the frame metal-fatigued where the incline jack attaches to the frame. It's a write off that cost over £1600. After 2 years it throws an error message about the belt needing oiling and locks the machine. The error code is nothing to do with the belt and I got ZERO response from DKN - had to go to the internet. I would never buy another DKN product again.

After 24 hours I received a standard email apology advising they were busy and asking that I remain patient. Needless to say no one from this awful company has bothered to contact me. I did manage to purchase a drive belt from a reputable company. If you are considering buying equipment from this company then you might reconsider and read the reviews from other customers before wasting your money.

DKN EXERCISE BIKE

Bought a DKN AM-E exercise bike in May 2024. Left pedal flew off. I replaced it and informed Sweatband (DKN Ebay shop) who did reply. Shortly after, developed a knocking sound from the rear R/H side flywheel. Told DKN by e-mail in October 24. They wanted a recording of this. Wanted to speak to their technical dept, but they insisted on the recording first. Hoped it would go away but it continued, so, contacted them on 4/12/24. Same guy in customer support told me to get a recording of it-again!Almost like they didn`t believe me. Still under 12 month guarantee, but don`t seem energetic to honour it. Would not buy DKN brand again. BUYER BEWARE.

UPDATE: SENT OVER A RECORDING BEFORE XMAS 24, NEVER BEEN OPENED. THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF HONOURING THE GUARANTEE IF NECESSARY.

EZ Treadmill

I purchased a EZ Treadmill. After 3 months of use twice a week the motor has gone. I'm heading into my third month of not being able to use the equipment because the part is on order. Honestly avoid at all costs, I fear the machine will never get fixed.

Dkn emx 800 issues

I bought the Dkn emx 800 Cross trainer, at first all was well, then after 6 months the heart pulse monitors failed to connect to the unit (I have 2 both with new duracel batteries), I reported it to dkn and nothing has ever been done about this, then 9 months into ownership it developed a loud whining noise, an engineer was sent out 4 weeks later and identified a dry bearing, I also informed him that the magnetic resistance level was set too high (you cannot move anything over level 20) this was ignored, this was 10 weeks ago and the repair still hasn't been carried out, I expect far better for a £1500 machine!

Non existent warranty support

Purchased a EB-2400i exercise bite just over 12 months ago, so its well within its 2 year warranty. The control panel has stopped working (making the machine useless).
3 weeks ago they advised that "it should be delivered to our warehouse within the next few weeks". I have followed up after the 3 weeks and been advised that they "have experienced massive delays with all our spare parts and currently, the factory cannot provide an update".
I currently have a machine in warranty that I cant use!

Don't believe the hype

DKN have been very clever in how to market their products and ensure the customer only reads the reviews it would like. Purchased a treadmill through Sweatband and whilst the unit is decent and very sturdy, the usability of the programs is poor and app support is not much better. As a well experienced treadmill user I feel I should point out a major flaw with the Endurun product (and presumably others), you can't preset the speeds when starting a program such as interval running, this means that every time it moves to the next interval it returns to the system preset speed (about 3mph) so you've got to keep moving the speed back to where it was, disappointing is an understatement and I find it highly unlikely this was fully endorsed by a personal trainer (or one worth their salt) like the product write-up claims. If you're thinking this is something that can be solved by an app then you'll be disappointed to hear that the DKN app does not work with the Endurun model and the Kinomap app is nothing more than a video app that claims to have workouts that you follow (again though, you'll be setting the speeds yourself at the machine).
The instruction manual is also not the greatest and needed to contact support to clarify a few basic settings, overall user experience is antiquated and unnecessarily clunky.
There's a lot to like about this treadmill but unfortunately DKN have not fully tested the product from a user perspective. Would've been enough to return the product if that was an option!
With regards to after sales support, be aware that DKN support is the same as Sweatband support, surely a conflict of interest, but either way, they've no real interest in resolving your issue.
Thought I'd done enough research to avoid such a situation, I always try to do a lot of homework when spending that amount of money, but clearly on this occasion I've allowed myself to be caught out by a substandard manufacturer! Hopefully the treadmill holds up and doesn't suffer the same failures that others have experienced.

Best treadmill ever

Best treadmill ever. Happy with all the specifications and it is performing well. Worth the money. Few years ago I've ruptured my ACL and decided not to have reconstruction surgery so I feel safe using this machine it's exactly what I need.

DKN EZrun

no problems with sweatband but the DKN Ezrun I have found to be a poor product. We have had the treadmill 2.5 years and on average used for 5k per week. The machine speeds up to extremely high speed and displays an e05 error with an electrical burning smell with alot of smoke. DKN are not really helpful as it is out of the 2 years warranty. The machine has only done around 650Km so more than a £1 per KM.

Zero customer service

I need a spare part for a 3 year old machine- I have been completely ignored by this company

Telephone line is no longer answered- does not even ring

They do not respond to emails, either sent via their website, or directly. I have a feeling they have gone out of business, given how poor their customer service has been

Awful company

They have no customer service to talk. All done via email and text chat which they seem to ignore for weeks at a time. Replacement item they eventually sent also doesnt work. There QA process is clearly sub par.
Literally the worst fitness equipment company I have dealt with.

I bought a DKN Roadrun treadmill, and after little use it developed a problem.
Absolutely shocking backup. I have been fobbed off for 6 months by an engineer, only now now to be told it's discontinued and no part available. If you buy a DKN product, you are on your own if you get a problem. SO BEWARE

DKN EzRun Motor failed - no after sales service

Avoid this company...I purcahsed a DKN EZRUN treadmill, the motor has failed after 3 years....
I contacted the compnay and they have told me the warranty is only for 2 years. I replied saying that the motor is gone and surely this should have a 5 year warranty - some companies offer a 10 year warranty for their motors.
It takes them 4 days to reply - It is just not a great company to work with if you have any problems.
I am surprised they are allowed to trade like this.
From my own personal experience - stay away there are other high quality fitness products and companies out there that will offer proper after sales service

Waste of time and money.

Terrible experience!!
I purchased a second hand DKN XC140i treadmill which is less then 1 year old, the motor blew ,mashine now is showing a fault E5. We've been refused the manufacturer warranty as we are not the original owner and now It's impossible to get spare parts from this guys as they do not answer the emails
Please avoid it as this is a major scam.
Terrible company to deal with.

Excellent service from DKN

My exercise broke down after 12 months use. I wrote to DKN who replied within 24 hours with a suggestion to replace the power adapter. I received the power adapter within 48 hours but it did not resolve the problem. I contacted DKN again and within 48 hours they sent a new console and power cable. After fitting the new console the bike was operational. Excellent service from DKN

Great response although I didn't buy the unit direct from them!

I didn't buy the cross-trainer direct from DKN but it was great - a bit of work to put together but that's expected of a complex piece of kit. My reason for writing the review was that I lost the power unit when moving house - without this, it's an expensive oversize paperweight. I contacted DKN to ask for specs so I could replace. Alex G went out of his way to find a solution even though it's out of production now, using a photo to check with technicians. Within a couple of days he was back with the details. So... sorry others have had problems but in this instance great support. Thanks Alex!
