Awful legal services company. Do not use.

It took 6 years to get our claim to court. On the day we are told by the barrister that the file they and the Court received from DLG was missing basic evidence and in all likelihood our claim would fail because of it. Exactly that happened. Basic documentation we had supplied had been left out and other documents any competent solicitor would know to ask for had never been sought. 6 years of unanswered emails & calls. Constant chasing only to find out their incompetence meant we would never succeed. The other party must still be laughing.

POOR: My experience of DLG Legal Services has…

My experience of DLG Legal Services has been one that has meant I will no longer add on Legal Expenses on my home insurance or even insure elsewhere. I have referred to them on at least 2 occasions with very little or NO help offered. If your considering paying for the service DONT BOTHER look elsewhere!

Bunch of liars who have no Legal knowledge cannot even comply with the data protection act
Do not use look at all the other reviews that all confirm the same and complaint to the legal Ombudsman and Sra to get them shut down as they should not be allowe to trade where they are dishonest

No fault collision.

Another driver hit wife in the back whilst stopped at traffic lights. Their insurance paid for repairs. Two years on DLG closing case for injuries saying collision was minor, car wasn't damaged sufficiently to proceed the case.
Issues are:
1. They give you direct number of person handling case, but that person never there when you call, in the two years never once managed to get the case handler.
2. The line is pretty bad, difficult to understand each other properly, not sure if it's because case handlers are in South Africa, however I do talk to other people in other countries and line quality is far better.
3. Any emails you send to them with attachments seems to dissappear in the abyss, you will not receive anything back to say it didn't get through or anything. The only time you will know is two months later when the case handler emails you back saying they are still waiting on a response. Don't bother re-emailing as it just won't get through.
4. They occasionally call you at a random time, but if you say call me back in an hour or so as in the middle of work then the next call will likely be in another months time.
5. Any chasing dosnt seem change anything.
6. You will have to chase and obtain any documents that are needed for the case, even though you filled in form for the autherisation they seem to be unable to obtain anything.
7. They will ask for the same information several times in different forms to fill out.

Overall complete waste of time over the two years they took!
Advice is to go with a back street no win no fee broker, they might take 25% of claim but at least they're likely to work harder and you may get something.

Poor Customer Service Centre

Have been on the phone for almost 1 hour trying to renew my buildings and contents policy which should have been Auto Renewed in December.
The thing is Ive been exposed for 1 month with NO Cover !!!

Very poor service

Very poor service! Took almost 3 years to be told my claim wouldn’t be taken any further. Made out to be a liar after doing most of the chasing for documents and evidence. They are lazy and rude! Don’t reply to emails or phone calls and take weeks do a simple task. I wouldn’t recommend using them despite being referred to by your insurance company. Avoid at all costs, very disappointed and frustrated. Adele was very unhelpful and rude.

Ref/LH06/02601023/2 being sent letter presumed I’m the guilty one
I was sent a letter from DLG legal services firstly it said that I was a threat to my neighbours and I’ve got cerebral palsy all DLG have listened to there clients and without any proof of these issues I’m the guilty one.I’ve explain what the facts are and sent back to DLG but not had a any information back what a surprise disgraceful company let’s see if we hear anything now

If I could give 0 stars I would. Avoid this coming at all costs!!! Even if you have legal cover with your insurance I would look elsewhere and actually pay more not to deal with DLG Legal. Incompetent case handlers, never reply to emails, have to chase them for information, rude & aggressive, make you feel like your lying or a criminal, emotional calls which don’t need to be the way they are. Please just avoid at all costs, they will not complete your claim and you will be left with no way forward. Even when you send forms back 1st class recorded they will not act on the information and I suspect it goes straight into the bin.

This is the best advise I can give all who might place their trust in this organisation.
Shambolic and woefully inept in every way.
Churchill Insurance sold me this "Legal Cover" and I am now enduring the most heartbreaking and soul destroying service imaginable.
What was a clear and undisputed claim - with the third pary being prosecuted and convicted - has now decended into a litigation debacle.
D.L.G have approached this matter with utter incompetence and an unrivalled level of lacklustre - Shocking in every way !!!!

Shocking, should not be operating!

1 year in to my claim where other party accepted liability without fuss. Its since been 1 year of me chasing and chasing and chasing DLG, I've wasted 1 year on this company, giving them everything I was asked and when I get the once in four month email it has no answer to my numerous detailed emails and asks for what they all ready have. I truly believe they do not care and appear to in some way do their best to devalue your claim, they definitely do not work in your (their client) interest. I’ve asked for 10months for this to be logged as a complaint.. I don’t hear anything! What was an inconvenience has been made in to something so so stressful by DLG, whom are meant to make it easier surely. They are absolutely shocking. How are they legit?!! By far the worst company I’ve come across, a disgrace!!

I had a rear end bump in January 2022…

I had a rear end bump in January 2022 where the offending driver's insurance company admitted full responsibility and I am still waiting for this to be resolved. This company never contact me unless I ring them. Every step of the process has been a mental strain and they have made me so stressed that I am almost giving up on the claim. I find every call an effort and when I informed the staff of this the last time I was informed that it could take upto 12 months? This was a simple bump where I was off for 6 days and I have spent hours chasing, calling and worrying

No complaints

I have been very happy with my dealings with DLG. The man who collected and returned my vehicle was so helpful and very pleasant. The staff in Middlewich who I phoned
with a query were equally helpful. I was kept up-to-date as to the repairs so therefore I have no complaints.

Beware of this company..case handler Faith.Shorney is a total waste of time..very unprofessional...never available..been 13 months and she still hasnt done anything...lies after lies..then has the cheek to devalue my claim.

Don't use DLG

I am not going to spend too much time talking about this company as we have been trying to to deal with this for the last three years, but in brief they are completely useless, they were suppose to represent us in an insurance claim, but did not complete the paperwork on time so we lost the case, then the other party counter sued, but again DLG did not put the paperwork in on time so we lost the case, but we were not aware as DLG did not tell us, so the other party had a county court judgement against us, but we only found this out when we tried to extend our mortgage which was declined, we then tried to claim compensation from DLG, but that was also a waste of time and effort
