Docsity is a ripoff… DocShitty! You pay for a monthly prescription but there’s also a fee to purchase additional tokens which are then used to download documents that are free through a simple search on the internet. The additional charges/fees aren’t clearly listed or explained when signing up for an account and they won’t refund your money after you discover the truth. Can’t wait for the class action.

Too little retirbution for sellers, especially considering that you take 20% on EACH sale.

Misleading and unclear explanation of how the membership works. How do you justify charging $18 for 150 points which is used up by downloading one document that doesn't even provide all the information needed. The site is very unclear how the point system works when they offer you the different subscription packages causing you constantly have to buy more points. Customer service via email is robotic and extremely unpleasant. Waste of money and time - DO NOT USE THEM. I cancelled my subscription in less than 30 mins of getting once I realized this is hoax on the company's part to just get $ from me.

I’m disappointed with my experience. It’s not clearly stated that after paying for a “premium subscription,” you still need to pay extra to download individual documents. I’ll give credit where it’s due — the one document I managed to access was helpful for my exam. However, I expected that a premium subscription would provide access to multiple documents throughout the week without additional charges. Overall, the setup feels misleading and not worth the cost.
Edit -
Since I cannot reply to Docsity after they have replied to my review, I have a comment to their reply.
- Thank you for your response. While the plan section explains that users must have either a Free or Premium plan and use points to access documents, it still does not clearly explain what those points are worth. The terms mention Basic and Premium Points and that they must be spent to access content, but they never define how many points are needed per document or what one point equates to in actual value. Without this information, users cannot accurately understand what they are paying for or how far their subscription or Power Recharge purchase will go. Clear and transparent point-to-value information would make the plans and payment structure much more understandable and fair to subscribers. so my initial review still stands.

I'm still quite new to this website, but I uploaded some notes quite easily and everithing went well. I would just suggest to remove the limit of 5 euros to be able to withdraw your earnings and put them into your personal Paypal account, because even if you earned less, they are still your money and you should be able to transfer them to use them whenever you want :)

I found it really useful, i used it to study specific things and as well to sell some papers i personally wrote to earn some money. Everything was clear and smooth in the process of downloading and uploading.
