I didn't know that Germany is such a village. Theoretically they require English in 80% of the job positions. But noone speaks English. There is no English language option on the website. 2 hours to book an appointment and still have put that was accompanied someone, a disaster awful in Köln Germany

Doctolib is a great progress but the German version still need some work to match the old fashioned German health system.

I have been rejected 2 from medical praxis despite of having a confirmed appointment. First try the doctor hours didn’t match the online information, second a very rude nurse couldn’t find my emergency appointment and told me I needed to be a praxis registered patient. Praxis need to learn to use their register and hold from automatic confirmation if the above is true in the German system.

No one wants to be rejected from the praxis when sickness hits

Impossible to find some doctors. The filters don't work. It says the doctor takes public health insurance, the on the next screen, it doesn't. Most doctors in a certain specialty don't take patients under 55. Why is there no filter for that? I had to click on a dozen doctors for a few screens before finding that out.

Oh, and on top of that, Doctolib does not have any reporting/support email, making me think they truly do not care. Their email in Impressum bounces back. Is it even legal?

I booked an appointment with a doctor for June 7 at 5:35 pm on Doctolib. I made sure that my computer was set up and tested. I loaded up my preconsult private information for the doctor. I waited 90 minutes and the doctor never showed up. On the Doctolib website there is no way for me to get my 30 euros booking fee back. I am furious. I have been had by this service. Never again.

For me it's a matter that not all medical specialists are in common at that place.
Some specialists are far away from me..or at places which are very difficult to get.. cause of all day so much traffic, no parking places, or such things ..

I like dotolib and I would like to have all medical specialists here gathered.

I made a doctors appointment through their system and the very next day (and following) i have been getting spam calls everyday.. (indian call centers)

i hadn't had a spam call in years and this was the only place that i had given my phone number recently

Edit: I've added one extra star as benefit of doubt but it is incredibly coincidentally i had 2 spam calls following the registration... but could be coincidence (bit it is the risk the comes with requiring phone number)

They cancelled my doctor appointment just 2 Hours before The meeting and they didnt reschedule it or offered me an alternative. It s shameful .

verry poor quality, extremely buggy

Doctolib used to send reminders by SMS and email in the past. I started trusting them and relying on them. Yesterday Doctolib sent me only an email reminder hours after the appointment time. I missed my appointment and now I expect a no-show fee of more than 100 euros from the clinic. Thanks Doctolib, great job!

The idea is nice - having an option to book appointments online. However, the doctors provided are barely reachable over Doctolib, always booked out, only offer offline appointments and some of the available doctors in the network are absolutely not qualified!

When you need a specialist, it's almost impossible to find the right one without medical education. Big chunks of chaotic information need to be read to figure out what kind of insurance is this particular specialist working with. I just wasted 3 weeks on waiting, rescheduling and waiting again for nothing

A horrible experience. The office of the doctor was closed, so i had to use this "Doctolib" site to book an appointment. During the booking, only AFTER you confirm the appointment, you are advised that there is a 50€ fee to cancel the appointment, even if you cancel immediately. Furthermore - it turned out that this particular office had no doctors, just "Heilpraktiker" or natural medicine healers.

I didn't want to use Doctolib in the first place because services like this do not need to be used and there are too many ways in which they can be abused.

During the pandemic my former doctor forced patients to book appointments with Doctolib. It was the main reason for me to search for another doctor. Doctolib forces users to give important data away such as their first name, family name, phone number and which doctor did a referal for example. Also not too nice is that it suggests that you should book the appointments of relatives over this service. So not only do they not have real (freely given) consent of many users themselves but it then involves more people who were not even asked to give consent in order for their relatives to throw around their data. Not cool to say the least. Probably not legal either.

One aspect is very important here: It is illegal in Germany to force patients into using online services like Doctolib without their consent. During the pandemic my doctor forced me to use this service and I have noticed that certain doctors are trying to do the same thing to force patients into using this service even though they are obligated to offer an avenue of booking appointments which doesn't include patients giving away data to a third party without consent.

So not only is there no real necessity for the existance of Doctolib but it is also less than moral that Doctolib actively profits of doctors being stressed during the pandemic and doing something which for themselves could easily turn into a law suit.

Kurz zusammengefasst auf Deutsch: Es gibt einfach keinen Grund für die Existenz von diesem Service und die Möglichkeiten für Missbrauch sind vielfältig. Ärzte dürfen Patienten nicht grundlos zwingen ihre Daten bei irgendeinem externen Service angeben zu müssen. Doctolib ist kein Ersatz für die Terminvergabe am Telefon und es bleibt abzuwarten wann die ersten Patienten aus Bereichen wie IT, Jura oder Datenschutz anfangen zu klagen. Ich bin weder ein Fan von dem Service selbst, noch von der Tatsache, dass sie während Corona von gestressten Ärzten profitiert haben. Ein Arzt der zur Terminvergabe lediglich Doctolib anbietet ist ein Arzt, den ich aktiv meiden werde, weil das einfach sehr unseriös ist.

I am JENIFER RUDOLPH and on my doctolib account I organize the appointments for health affairs for me and my three kids Robin, Vincent and Rosa-Lee Sendlinger.
For reasons I don‘t know, I also receive the health data’s for my ex-Partner and father of the kids MARCUS SENDLINGER. That’s not okay, and I told Msrcus about it and indeed he doesn‘t feel comfortable with this. Please find a solution to delete his name under my account. This he‘d be able robotendem his own account which only HIM would have access too.

You need to verify the doctors speak English. I booked a doctor and then sent them an email asking if they spoke English. They didn't respond. I wrote them another question now in German and they responded. I don't understand why they indicated English in their profile then. Please make sure doctors indicate their languages right.

This site ALWAYS has something frustrating up its sleeve. Maybe it's showing you dates and when you choose one, you fill a form and then it says, oh for what you want, we have no dates afterall. Or, you search for doctors with public insurance, but it shows you without. Or, somehow it adds the wrong date to your calendar. Or, ... man, I'm sorry for everyone. It seems like one of those companies that got to the money making point and stopped improving at all. Sad.
