Apparently messaging customer service…

Apparently messaging customer service to cancel an appointment is not appropriate and will charge you $150!! I had influenza and I needed to cancel my video visit. i messaged customer service and asked if I could cancel because the app wasn’t working to cancel. They did not get back to me for three days and charged me $150. Do not use this scam company. They do not care about the customers.

Hi Kat,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience however we don't currently have a service for $150. I can see that you're based in the US, is there a chance that your consult was with the US-based company Doctor on Demand? This is a separate organisation from us here in Australia.

We recommend reaching out directly to their support team so they can look into your experience and assist you further.

Kind regards,
Doctors on Demand Australia

Warning

Warning! The service is very disingenuous. The appointment starts straight away after payment, yet there are instructions requiring browser changes and tests for the call to be functional. It goes without saying that this should be before the appointment starts. By the time i got into the appointment I’m waiting for the doctor and get a message about a delay and then it starts connecting for a second and then disconnects. Then I get a you missed your appointment page and you are required to restart the process and pay again. In the meantime, they’ve sent you a policy via email whilst waiting in the video call that you’ve had no time to read as saying that they will call you off unknown number, and an invoice. I sent a call feedback form and two messages via contact us ‘technical difficulties’ and I didn’t hear anything back till the next day. Their conclusion is that they don’t owe me a refund because they apparently tried to call my phone. I literally only used them because of the video call function as my phone is working properly. There’s also a message function on the call/site with 0 messages that they could’ve communicated with. Seems intentional in my opinion!

I would prefer to give zero

I would prefer to give zero. Charged $92 for a Saturday consult for my son who was suffering a mental health issue. He was just told to go to the hospital. No offer of a referral to a specialist. We had hoped that by going through a doctor he would get personalised treatment but the care factor was zilch. When I requested a refund seeing no treatment or service was provided I was refused. They are all about revenue and certainly not about healthcare

I demand my $99 back - fraud

Specialist at Randstad
1s

Here is one of the “ wonderful” Drs. I had to deal with.
She would not give me medication for a simple UTI and spent less than three minutes with me where she was very short and curt.
Dr. Maria Solorio shame on you and this ridiculous website.
You charged me $99 and I could not even get a simple prescription nor a polite rejection.
She was downright rude.
I demand my money back.
Do NOT use this service. They will rob you and you will still be left to suffer.

Hi Jeanne,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience however we don't have a doctor by that name that has ever consulted with Doctors on Demand Australia. As Dr. Maria Solorio is based in the United States, it’s likely your consultation was with the US-based company Doctor on Demand, which is a separate organisation from us here in Australia.

After waiting 45 minutes for my appointment the Doctor cancelled it. An alternative appointment was not offered. To book another appointment I have to pay again. I was still charged the full fee and now have to chase a refund.

Their reset password feature is the…

Their reset password feature is the most screwed up I've ever seen in 30 years. Plus, when you FINALLY get in, you have to re-create your account. (Even though you had one.) Just ridiculous waste of 30 minutes.

No duty of care

Not a great experience. The doctor issued inadequate prescription quantities and then refused to add more without paying for another appointment.

Doctors on Demand do not provide a duty of care to their patients. I would not trust this company with your health or medical history.

Disorganised booking system. Fail

Cannot book appointment online. System not allowing process. Website poorly thought out and designed. Looks like they took my credit card payment though. Zero confirmation or denial of payment on site. No reply from admin. Best avoid. Plenty of more organised competition.
