What a disappointment

What a disappointment. We’ve been previous years and thoroughly enjoyed it but this year it was a fraction of the size with mostly charity and dog food stalls all trying to tout for business. Octopus energy were there too trying so desperately to sell their energy.

There weren’t all the wonderful independent stalls creating a vibrant atmosphere and instead folk were mithered consistently by those who were there.

It was definitely less about being a ‘dog festival’ and more about a sales pitch.

There wasn’t any shade at all at the event unless you were at an activity (although zero shade for the competitions).

What a waste of money. Definitely would never again recommend

My friend and our Great Danes had a…

My friend and our Great Danes had a lovely morning at the Tatton Park Dogfest on Saturday 20 June 26.

Not to busy that it wasn’t possible to walk around and look/speak to stall holders.

Everyone was happy and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

Only negative is that there was no cover to shade from the sun other than going out of the event a little to where there were trees to shade under.

We left after lunch before the heat became too much, however was a perfect way to spend a morning.

Disappointed

Went to dogfest at tatton park and was really disappointed by the lack of events going on. I’ve been to dog fest every year for the last 4 years and have enjoyed every single one. Today there was half as many stalls, no dog shows, no K9-unit/fire engines, less photo opportunities, no big brands to shop from. £27.50 per ticket when I have paid a lot less in the past. I feel ripped off, won’t be going again!

Poor really

Poor really. No displays or exhibitions? Just felt like ‘Sell Fest’
Only decent things were the small splash pools (not like last years large pool where they take a run and jump off which was so much fun to watch), and the feee agility. That’s it

I’ve been to Dogfest once quite a while…very disappointed

I’ve been to Dogfest once quite a while ago when Noel Fitzpatrick was the “host” and decided to go again this year 20 June 2026. I would not recommend, mainly for the cost. There were a LOT more stands last time compared to this time as well. It was more like a local fair. Then the cost! £26 which rose to £28.95 with admin fees at checkout and then a further £10 for parking - £9 if bought in advance (admittance to Tattenhall). I would recommend taking food as £15 for a jacket potato was ridiculous - though I know a lot of events have similar charges, this can be very costly for a family and there were a lot of children there.

Feeling very cheated

Purchased tickets in 2025 and the organisers cancelled the venue twice due to weather conditions. I was given the option of a refund or to carry over to this year. The dates for 2026 have just been announced and unfortunately I’m unable to make any of the availability….. requested a refund and now it’s not possible. Come on Dogfest…. that’s incredibly misleading. How many other people have you taken their hard earned cash from. This is not good enough and I will not be a returning customer….. very disappointing .

DogFest - Blame it on the Weather

I attended this festival last year (2025) & loved it. So much so I booked tickets to attend a second time in 2025. This however was cancelled twice because of weather conditions, once because it was too hot, & once because it was too windy. Completely understandable, we cannot control the weather. At the time I was offered the choice of a refund or transfer tickets to 2026 ( reasonable). I opted for the transfer. After checking this years dates however, I am unable to attend because of other commitments so today requested a refund only to be informed that I am not able to receive a refund purely based on the fact that I am unable to attend & if I wanted a refund I should have requested it at the time the event was cancelled last year. I was able to attend when the tickets were purchased but the event organisers cancelled the event. I do not understand why I am no longer able to get my money back. Very, very frustrating
