As a multiple dog owner and a passionate casual breeder, it’s very refreshing and feels safe to have a business dedicated to the safe sale & purchase of dogs. I’ve used the site to advertise a stud dog, to buy a pup, and have a litter currently selling.
The rules are necessary and protect both buyers & sellers, and most importantly the dogs’ welfare.
The admins are very supportive & helpful for placing ads.
It’s professionally run, but still approachable and friendly.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. We wanted to buy a Cocker Spaniel. We agreed with the man to come today and we entered the house and he said "this is a puppy"
It's a completely different dog, it's not a Cocker, I don't even know what kind of dog it is, there's no such dog for sale anywhere on his add. He has two black cockers and he's selling a brown dog,totally different dog…People like this are allowed to cheat and lie on this site. This was pointless and disgusting 😡🤬

I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience finding a dog on dogs.ie. As you can imagine it's not straight forward to make sure people are not selling multiple dogs in their ads.
If you want to report a seller the best way is to email support@dogs.ie and we can look into the ad.
Did the seller give a reason for the switch ? We encourage all buyers to view the dog, its microchip certificate and to contact their vet if there is any questions about the dog being sold. You will find these tips at the bottom of each ad.

Professional service with animal welfare central
Excellent service with the genuine welfare of dogs considered at all stages. Very helpful and supportive staff who understand the needs of pet owners. Communication is excellent and any issues/questions are handled very professionally. Highly recommended as a service for buying/selling dogs with animal welfare at its core.
