This course gave me a lot of perspective, new ideas, and insights. It combines theory with practical tools and I especially enjoyed the applied neuroscience explanations. Julian is kind, reasonable, supportive, passionate about what he is doing, and, evidently, has put a lot of effort into compiling a quite sophisticated course. It is true that it is hard work, a lot to process and implement in a short space of time but it is doable and, actually, it is the beginning of a process. The results depend on the time/commitment you invest, as it happens.

I have studied English for a long time and the result is not balanced with the effort I made. After the MEFA course, I realized that it's just because I use the wrong way to improve my English. A bad way to accomplish your task can even make you move backward rather than forward. The methods provided in this course work very well for me, and I'll keep improving my English using what I learned. It's the most valuable English-learning course I have ever had. I really appreciate Julian for coming up with such a good course for learning English.

Just finished the the MEFA course, and it was a game changer for my English study. As like others, I've tried many different English study methods so far, but nothing has changed my English skill as much as the MEFA. The course would help you form an English study habit and know what do to improve your English skill effectively. It's ultimately you who need to study English, but you could know how to do it in the best way through the course.

This is the best course I have had before. This course, via a 12-week journey, logically guides how to learn English with the appropriate methods, mindset and attitudes towards English. If you would like to achieve the goal of being an advanced English speaker, I really recommend it.

There are times when you need to take risks of being duped.

This was exactly how I felt after finishing his course.

I have been a second English learner for more than 30 years, and he was the first English teacher who criticized me harshly not to cut him off until he finishes. He was the only person in the Q and A session who can cut off a speaker. I felt it was unjust. It was such a unique experience for me as a student.

But despite such a seemingly unlucky experience, I really enjoyed this program itself. The most important thing was he actually taught me a lot of important aspects in getting better at communication.

Thank you Julian for all the feedback you have given me. I understand saying harsh things is much harder and more consuming than saying only good things, which doesn't lead us anywhere better.

Your challenging behavior of doing a concise yet incredibly informative lecture on such a deep topic as humor was the most inspiring to me, if l dare to say.

I am no language expert but I do consider myself a language (and culture) aficionado, who was luckily born in a trilingual environment, speaking Spanish, English, and Chinese since birth.

I went on to learn Japanese and recently started learning Russian (my family lives in a quadrilingual environment), and I thought I had nailed down all the ins and outs of language learning.

I hesitated for a very long time to take this course as I thought I had reached my maximum level in English profficiency, but after a few weeks into the course I realized how utterly wrong my approach to learning languages was!

I may be a nerd but Julian is the ultimate language nerd, he is Thanos-level badass when it comes to linguistics. Many people have PhD's and bogus degrees but Julian has truly dedicated a big portion of his life and soul to languages, and he is enthusiastic to share it with the world.

Whether you are into English or into multiple languages, this will radically change the way you see languages. Things you intuitively know will be reinforced by proper theory exposed by Julian, as well as a myriad of unknown concepts in linguistics that make this course a treat. I wish this was taught in school!

MEFA is quite different from other typical "repeat after me" method. Julian told us why I couldn't say in English what I want to say in first language. Most big take away is that I learned the method of thinking and speaking in English. And also he gave us self improvement tools of my English by myself. Weekly homework was quite challenging but I could feel my English skills are stepping foreword after doing every homework. I didn't have such a experience. I confidently say that I was wrong and wasting the time for learning English before joining MEFA .

I never believed I would ever be able to speak English in my life without overthinking or translating in my head, but now after MEFA I don’t think there’s any situation I’ll avoid because of the quality of my English.

Julian has done a great job in structuring the course to ensure that you are very clear on all the habits and behaviours that could’ve been holding you back, and exactly what you need to do to overcome them and replace them with more healthy and productive ones.

It’s not easy, because you have to do the work, but one thing i can personally testify is that you’ll be extremely impressed by the results you’ll get, not only with your English but with others aspects of your life e.g confidence in new/unexpected situations, not only in English but in your native language as well, being more conscious of what you doing not just for the sake of doing it in English or just to prove that your grammar is well practiced.

So my advice is to be as skeptical as you want but just keep in mind that you’re learning from the “World Best English Teacher” who’s whole heartedly willing and there to help and support you succeed. So forget about all the things you think about learning English effectively and just listen to him, do the work and ask questions, because if what you think or know about learning English is working for you, you wouldn’t be looking for a way to improve.

I did that and now I’m a happy English thinker, speaker and doer.

I was certainly NOT disappointed with the MEFA. This is exactly the course I need to change my attitude toward English. Julian is brilliant in his field and I am lucky enough to have a coach like him. I would highly recommend this course. It's not easy but you know what they say, no pain no gain.
