Unsatisfactory location very Unprofessional

What a mess. The dollar tree in Granger Indiana on University Drive has turned into a half empty dump. Prices have skyrocketed, majority of items are either improperly marked or not priced at all leading to confusion at the checkout. The employees are rude and untrained. Checkout lines are backed up and slow. Employees are typically seen standing around outside the front door, smoking cigarettes, and playing on their cell phones. Many times this location has posted signs on the front door stating that they are closed during normal business hours. They need to rename themselves the $20 and under store .

Do not work here

Do Not work for this company.
They Don't care about their employees.

HR allows hostile work environments, employees attacking other employees, they also allow employees to steal time and merchandise , and when the store manager turns this in, HR goes after the store manager and not the employee who is stealing....
if you turn it in to HR, you're the problem, not those who are causing the problem.
HR and DM's lie to their employees, and work them like dogs for $11.00 an hour. Yes they won't pay employees more than $11.00 an hour and you must be 18 to work there. HR add hours every year to the stores open operations at many locations, and expect the store manager to pick up an extra 48 hours a month, without paying them extra on their salary. If the store manager speaks up, and sets professional boundaries....HR (Michelle) goes off on the store managers, belittles them, won't do anything to stop a hostile work environment... Even when the store manager goes to them for guidance. And they don't help or communicate.... Instead Michelle in HR would rather get rid of the employees and store managers... Than do her damn job.
Do not work for this company. They will screw you over, and expect you to put your family on the back burner with little to no time off.

I’m disgusted by the rudeness of a young person who cashed me out today. I had purchased 2 cards ( now $1.50 vs Dollar Store $1.00) and the total came to $3.39. I gave the young lady cash of $3.40. While waiting for my receipt she stared at me and said
“we’re good” as if I was waiting for change. I politely replied that I was only waiting for my receipt. Again staring at me she announced while pointing to the receipt still on the printer “ its over there”. For a small purchase I don’t expect praise or thanks for shopping, but I do anticipate some semblance of civility. I always try to be kind and Always say thank you after all my purchases at any store. Today I was so disappointed that those words did not exit my mouth.
The store was at Fourth Ave. in St. Catharines, just for verification.

I bought a bag of dog food from Dollar tree for $1.25 (the amount money is not the point) and it was rock hard and I was afraid my dogs would break their teeth. It was also manufactured by Dollar Tree. When I went to return it... the night manager would not give me a refund. I wrote numerous emails to Dollar tree customer service and not one answer back!

The Dollar Tree store at 4616 East avenue S in Palmdale Ca. The store is great. But there is one thing that bothers a lot of people. The new scam is that they have people that open the door for you as you exit and enter the store in order to get money. They are there everyday. It is not right. I don't need someone opening a door for me and give them money. What would happen if there were automatic doors?

Be more professional

I have been shopping at this store for 20 years.
Yes they sell cheap things not always the best quality but for the most part they are helpful.
Lately the level of management has gone down hill in all the time I have shopped their I have returned maybe 3 items and it's always a hard time. They grill you like you are criminal and get offended when you even want to exchange things. They will lie to you and tell you that you have to go to the store that you bought it from they will tell you that you can't return food items. When you read the return policy it doesn't say any of that. It starts out saying we want you to enjoy your purchase and if you have any problems you may return or exchange it.They need to train their managers to be more professional and not act like the police making the customers feel bad because the cheaply made items do not last one day sometimes. They have multiple locations in the cities and they do not need to harass the customers over petty things because their is a lot of other places to shop.
Wake up dollar tree your not the only game in town.

Two registers open, no one gets to check out.

Two registers open, one where customer disappears with a counter full of products, the other with a cranky man at the register that disappears after every sale. Three customers in left line with very full carts, right line where a lady just steps up and is taken care of. I have one item in right line. The cranky older man employee checks out the woman in front of me then he disappears. The other line still doesn’t have the lost customer that started to check out. The cranky employee comes back to the register and proceeds to tell me that there is one line. It’s time to train employees on how to take care of customers and not be rude. If you’re too old, lazy, and cranky to do your job… you don’t belong there.
Won’t be back to the Westfield NJ store.

Bad experience

I was in the store in Wilmer MN and was never so embarrassed as I was by the checkout man. I was having trouble with my card being read by the machine and was told I was probably over my limit. I am not over my limit the machine would not read the chip. I called my card and they told me that some machines may be old but to keep trying it.

Not honoring listed prices on merchandise

Very disappointed with the customer service. Items on the shelves are clearly marked with a price, but when you get to the register, they charge a different amount. When I pointed out the price on the merchandise, the staff refused to honor it and acted like it wasn’t their problem.

This is misleading to customers, and the way it was handled was unprofessional and dismissive. Accurate pricing and basic courtesy should not be too much to ask. Until this store fixes its pricing issues and trains staff to treat customers respectfully, I won’t be returning.

Manager bullies a worker and dollar tree does nothing

I witnessed a manager bullying a worker at the lisle Illinois dollar tree. I have contacted the corporate dollar tree 3 times. I left a review. I spoke to a manager at another dollar tree and gave my name and number. I tried to contact the state of Illinois and the BBB but nothing happened as far as I know. Even though I bought a lot of items from the store as a teacher I don’t think I can ever go back now since they don’t handle situations like this.

Adios $1.25

Dollar Tree Macon Ga. Used to be a great experience when everything was $1. Then, to &1.25. Not bad.
NOW, things marked $1.25 become $1.50 or more at the register. The annual calendars were (not marked) $2.75. Unfriendly.

Wow.... How can you call yourself a business if you allow the managers to yell at your employees when you barely have any employees to begin with? The shelves are always bare and the selection is horrible.
