Super helpful customer support!!! Great quality dolls house. The windows required a lot of priming to overcome the laser cut burnt colouring and I decided to miss out a couple of pieces but otherwise fab!!

Faulty item and terrible customer service

I ordered a bed costing £65 from the DHD website. It was described as 'top quality' and a 'true collector piece'; pictures looked great. When it arrived, the sides of the top canopy were heavily creased, the front was unevenly cut/sewn, and there was no reinforcement on the fabric. I decided it wasn't worth returning and got a seamstress to tidy up and press the detachable top canopy. I then took the main bed out to put in my dolls house and the bottom of the bed fell apart! There were wooden planks glued with ancient glue that has since broken down, and the bottom of the bed was cardboard held in place with poorly sewn bits of string that clearly hasn't even held up to gentle use. The glue holding the bed curtains to the posts has also come unstuck and there is a glue stain on the curtain. My attempt to request a refund as the item was damaged/faulty has been ignored by DHD. I would not recommend this store.

I would give no stars if that were possible

I would give no stars if that were possible.
I purchased one of DHD's more expensive dolls houses, ready made. I requested some additions which added to the cost. When the dolls house arrived it was poorly packaged. It was crated but there was no padding. It was poorly assembled. The additional work had not been carried out. The pieces were there, just leaving me to finish it myself. I complained and over six weeks later I have had no response whatsoever. I would say avoid DHD at all costs

** A seller without morals. Be warned **

I have been stressed, upset and now appalled by my experiences with DHD, which have now gone on for over 2 MONTHS...

When I first ordered, I was told that rather than the 7 days, promised, my house would be delayed because of how busy they were. It took a FULL MONTH, to deliver. What happened next was not DHD's fault, but in hindsight, their response was as calculating, as it was despicable.
ParcelForce, whom THEY contracted to deliver my shop, did not deliver it, but forged my signature and 'left the house outside the front door' of my apartment block - containing 21 flats, and open to the street... Bad enough, but as a disabled person, I was home at the time this happened.

At first, they stood by their lies, and the compensation claim was denied. But when I involved the Police over the forged signature - it all changed. They accepted liability and compensated the seller.

Sadly for me, despite fighting for a whole month for written acceptance of liability, I was now outwith eBay/Paypal's claim window. So, despite the stress and ongoing worry AND the costly fight to get my money back from them, ParacelForce refunded the supplier (which is the legally correct thing to do, of course) but this means that DHD now have MY £162 AND ParcelForce's compensation of £162.

I have given him ample time to refund, I have pleaded (as a disabled person, I can't afford to write off this amount of money) and I've had the CAB's 'Breach of Contract' letter sent and emailed repeatedly. And still he ignores me.

All that's open to me now is Trading Standards, who will investigate, but that still won't get my money back. To do that I will have the expense of bringing a Civil case against the DHD owner who has treated me so badly.I guess I owe it to others to do that.

But PLEASE, be warned before you order from this Company. They played me at avery point - knowing i only had 45 days to reclaim my money - they took 30 to dispatch remember - and then told me they 'had the ParcelForce claim in hand' whilst PF closed it, for some reason unknown to me as it is protected by the DPA.

I have lost more money and suffered more stress than anyone should have to when buying from a so-called reputable company. This one isn't. The owner has no morals and his behaviour in emails and phone calls to my home have been openly misled me. The whole experience has left me very sad and upset that anyone could treat a fellow human being like this, but with nowhere to go, as no-one can force him to refund, despite him being paid twice.
