Amazing

Received a pair of boots in the mail. Took a little bit but the quality and look was great. Easily gave me an extra 4 inches and improved my confidence ten fold.

Scam !

I bought a pair of shoes from this website (size 41 EUR selected in the order). After a few weeks, I received an email saying that I had to pay taxes for a package coming from Thailand (around 40 euros). Finally, a week later, I received the shoes. The size was 35, which was too small even for my little sister. I tried contacting the seller via email and WhatsApp, but I never received a reply. The shoes are also of poor quality and not worth the price at all. What a scam!

Very poor quality shoes and your CC info is highly at risk with them

I bought a pair from their website in May 2024.
I will highly discourage anyone trying to purchase shoes from them for two critical reasons:
1) FRAUD RISK WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO: The very next day after I purchased the shoes, my bank reached out about two transactions they flagged as potentially fraud. They totaled over $1K and were for hotels somewhere in Asia. I have never been to those countries and the funny part is I had not used that credit card (I used to buy the shoes) for over a year. Now talk about a coincidence :-)
2) VERY POOR QUALITY: The shoes were very poorly made, very artisanal with a very poor finish. It is super easy to see/tell that they were super cheap shoes just by looking at them. I don’t know what type of material it is made of, but it’s definitely not real leather. The stitchings are not aligned and if you look at the inside of the shoes, you will get really mad. Handmade shoes are only good if made by professionals, who are very attentive to details, not artisans. I have NOT worn the shoes to go anywhere and will put them in a goodwill donation box. I don’t even want to deal with them to discuss a return due to the fraud issue. I ended up closing that cc and requested a new cc from the bank. Apparently I wasn’t the first one they tried to scam, from what the fraud agent told me, they were already on the bank’s suspicious list, reason why they reached out immediately after seeing those two suspicious hotel transactions. All banks are not as diligent as my bank, many banks will let those transactions go through and if you are not too attentive you will be out of a lot of money really quick.

just not for me

I ordered a pair of Cowboy boots from Dons footwear, I had never tried elevator shoes before so I was curious to give him a shot (2.5 inch heel).

PROS = they do increase height

CONS = hard to walk in ( at least the cowboy boots I got) & you can tell that they are elevator shoes. I’m average height (5’9) & I’d rather wear a regular boot.

Don is fast at responding & he knows how to make shoes , I know it can be hard to run a small business (especially a shoe business due to sizing, returns ) & im not going to be criticizing him.

I ended up sending them back & getting a refund & came to the conclusion that if you are really short it can’t hurt to try them out (just wear long jeans to cover heel) , but if you’re average height or a little below , you’re probably just better off just getting a pair of regular shoes with a large heel (1.5 inch to 2 inch).

Very poor customer service

You will be treated by the owner Allan (Don) like a 2nd class citizen. I am deployed and ordered a pair of shoes, which i am still waiting to receive 4 months later. I was told it was my fault because i provided an APO address and he has issues shipping to military bases but my funds were taken completely and never refunded. Further Allan sent me receipt attempting to confirm that he actually shipped the shoes, however, the receipt was in a language i could not read and no tracking number to confirm status. Again i was told it was my responsibility to check with the military post office, even though did not have a tracking number or anything. This Allan guy is extremely disrespectful, if anything goes wrong with your order good luck getting any help from him. I wish i had more places i could spread this review of just how bad this experience was, please avoid!

Horrible experience with this business

Horrible experience with this business. Bought a very expensive pair of shoes which had to be custom made - over $1,000.00. Turned out to be a bit too big in the sizing but even worse, the boot opening was way too wide. Kept slipping out at the heel. I offered to send it back at my cost for repairs and they refused. Went to local cobbler who laughed at it - said it was a poor construction!

Orrible

The shoes came in about 1 month, even if i paid the extra for fast shipping.

The quality is low, and a 3.1 inch lift (8cm) only gives 5 cm (2 inch).

Don't buy from them, you are better buying normal shoes with thick soles.

Great Shoes and Help

Before I went and ordered my shoes from Don, I took the time to talk with him about what would work best for my feet. With his help and experience, I got myself some great comfortable pairs of bespoke shoes. Cheers!

Shoes are agony, Don is impertinent, only half corrects mistakes

Allan (Don) was very friendly when taking the order and offered to not charge for vegan (as materials are cheaper this is perhaps not surprising)- and sent pictures of a couple of stages during making. He then sent the wrong shoes- anyone can make a mistake. He asked me to send on the wrong shoes to the intended recipient (which took up a lot my time) but offered a discount on next purchase rather than covering the postage. He did eventually send the right shoes (which are agony to wear- see below) after taking along time to reply to emails (I hade to email twice, he was very quick when taking the order) but using a different courier who charged customs tax of about £35. Allan refused to refund this as a) he can't make paypal payments or have a UK bank account to do transfer so would offer discount on next purchase- he eventually realised he could do a bank transfer as refunded some of the owed postage and tax b) doesn't pay for destination local tax- even though postage was meant to be included and the first pair of wrong shoes arrived without customs tax because he says he used a different courier who includes it in the postage charge c) he was impertinent enough to say that to pay the tax would be like paying me to wear the shoes d) said it wasn't his fault but brexit- although sent and arrived before the end of 2020 so we hadn't left the EU yet e) it would be like me walking into his shop in Thailand and walking out without paying for them.
He eventually sent half the owed money including the postage I paid sending the wrong shoes on. He did say a bad review might ruin his business which I expect he's worked very hard to build, so I thought long and hard and exchanged many emails before deciding to write this review- maybe it's not his responsibility to pay custom tax? But it seems to me that I had to pay it because of a mistake he made- I'll let the reader be the judge.
More problematic is that the shoes are agony- I've followed his advice of stretching the material with a spoon or knife and am now trying a wooden shoe stretcher- not sure yet how it will turn out- they were very expensive so I'm determined to make them wearable-
