Doesn't work as well as it did before ???

DoPublicity program was purchased a few years ago and for the past couple years, it worked correctly. However, ever since we renewed, we've had some major issues which we've attempted resolve with technical support on several occasions. Unfortunately, after several weeks, the system that use to work as promise still has inconvenient problems that have unreasonable ways to be resolved which isn't effective in the capacity we use to be able to utilize our marketing. When we've provided specifics to troubleshoot the issues, DoPublicity technical support doesn't listen to the details provided so a lot of confidence has been lost with their system. UPDATE: In response to the company's reply below, “…till there was a change in the person managing the content and playlist.” There was no change in the person managing the content and playlist so I’m not sure why the owner is making this presumption. Our non-profit organization does not open until 12pm and the volunteers have full-time jobs so the company’s work hours are extremely inconvenient. Also, we absolutely don’t “insist on receiving support via email” and we follow the instructions accurately but the owner has informed us that we need to purchase new equipment which we are not willing to yet since there's only a 30-day guarantee and based on the issues we've been having, we don't feel comfortable investing in new equipment. We’ve made numerous attempts to resolve this issue with the company and no headway in resolving the issues is not lack of us trying with the company. In addition, the owner attempt to have the review removed after repeatedly asking. Since we refused to because the issues were not resolved, he claimed that we had a false claim. After providing the documentation via emails, the review was reinstated since it was found to be in fact genuine, and it was determined the owner had provided false info by stating we never done business with their company. We were able to provide evidence for the substantiated claims and advised our WiFi works fine with our cash register, atm machine and office computer, cable tv so unsure why the owner believe the issues we have been experiencing for past 7 month are due to the internet connection, and we've never called after-hours expecting support so unsure why that was brought up by the owner as well. The review definitely reflects the representation of the quality of service from the owner, support personnel and product we purchased.

The product was purchased (by James) over 3 years back and ran well till there was a change in the person managing the content and playlist. The person currently managing the system (Mary) is not able to contact us during support hours (7 AM to 4 PM PST, Monday to Friday) and insists on receiving support via email (which is not a problem, if the instructions are followed). We have made numerous attempts to resolve this issue with the customer through email and phone calls. The customer's representative (Mary) is not available to receive support and now has informed us that another individual (Tony) will contact us - this was on 1/15/2020 and as of today (1/24/2020) have not heard from him.
In the meantime, we continue to contact the reviewer (Kelly) and are making no headway in resolving this issue. This review is not representative of the quality of service we provide.
UPDATE (1/26/2020-In response to an update by the reviewer) This is a lose-lose situation and are not willing to wash our linen here or respond to unsubstantiated claims. We are still open to providing support and will be glad to resolve any technical issue that is within the purview of the service that we provide (does not include errant internet connection, after-hours calling, etc.). In all reality, if we did not care, we would not even make an effort to communicate - our actions to assist in resolving the issue are self-explanatory.
UPDATE 2/8/2020 - We have been informed by Tony that the system is running well and that they have no issues. To quote from his email "Kelly and I met last night and agreed that our issues are resolved".

DoPublicity - Easy to Use Digital Signage

When looking for a digital display option for our facility, we were glad to find DoPublicity. The pre-configured media player works well with our wall monitors, and allows us to display colorful messaging to our employees and visitors.

The system is easy to use, and adding or editing content is simple. If you can create a PowerPoint slide, you can create vibrant content with your media player. The ability to create content remotely and display on the media player is convenient...especially with multiple plant locations. The templates allow first-time users to easily add content and display their messages.

When we needed technical support, a simple email message to DoPublicity was all it took. They worked with us to quickly resolve our issue. We highly recommend this company.

We have been using the doPublicity…

We have been using the doPublicity Digital Signage system for 3.5 yrs. Our display boards are in a convention center providing our customers updates on the scheduling of events and other custom content that we have created. The content is easily updated via the web which is then automatically downloaded to the media players.

Our experience has been a very smooth one with this easy to use digital signage system.

Customer / technical support has been very quick in both response and resolution.

We highly recommend this system.

They fixed the issue, then more arose.

Update 1/3/2020- I really do not like this setup! Experiencing issues that never arose before my subscription expired. I am very reluctant to bother calling, because they going to tell me what they did before- can’t help you without the tech support subscription. Your equipment is guaranteed to start having issues the moment your subscription expires. I promise you that! I am in my store today with a menu board that is non-operational right now.

Initially I was very disappointed that the moment my subscription expired I started having issue, was told by the Rep that I had to buy back into the tech support for him to assist me. As a business owner, we are overwhelmed by enough day to day operations to be inconvenienced by a menu board. This menu board is very impactful however!! Today I rolled out a new menu, had to do the first couple of hours without boards.😖 I posted a review and a tech support manager reached out and assisted me with the issue. To be honest, I had already done the steps he told me to do, but they previously did not work until he reached out. That’s odd, but whatever. He was a nice and patient guy! #lemonade

The customer is having internet-related issues and this clearly shows on the Account Dashboard, if they log into their account.

The customer had reached out to us in the past and we had assisted them despite them not having a valid tech support subscription. We are now surprised to see this updated review without being contacted. We cannot keep providing free support to customers as we have to pay our technicians and keep the business alive. It's notable that the system has been running well despite an expired tech support subscription, but the customer has not mentioned that.

Update 2/3/2020 - We checked our backend and notice that the customer is using the system without any issue - we have not heard from the customer and no further action is required.

Good Price, Great Customer Support, No Monthly fees!

After looking into several other digital signage options I decided to look into doPublicity. I was tasked by my manager to find a very specific display and there were no ready made templates available that I could find from various vendors. I was first very impressed with the promptness of the response to my questions. I was contacted the same day and was able to explain my requirements directly to a technical support person who informed me that a custom template could be made to meet my requirements. Again it was same day! After I purchased the units I logged onto the website and again was very impressed with how easy it was to set up the signage. I had no previous experience with digital signage players before. The quick start sheet that came with the players was well done and easy to follow. The remote access to the digital signage players as well as the scheduling is very useful. There was great communication back and forth with the development of the custom template. They kept me informed on the status and very quickly responded to some changes I made during the process. What I received was exactly what I needed. The ongoing customer support is also first rate. After adding my custom template to my sign I wanted some adjustments which was done almost immediately. After looking into some of the other signage vendors, some who offered expensive subscription service, I can honestly say this is one of the best values on the market.

Fantastic company

Fantastic company, couldn't be happier. Took over an existing restaurant with my wife and needed digital menu boards that were professional and easy to manage. Since they do not charge recurring fees to use the system we decided to go with them. Dopublicity staff has exceeded our expectations with the training that was included in the one time cost. After showing us how to use the templates, we have been able to create professional looking digital menus fairly quickly. Its great we can change template designs whenever we need as well. For the price this is one of the best on the market - very happy and will be buying more should we add more tvs to our restaurant!

Zero is too much for this company

If I can give 0 - I would.
After 28 days from the day we received package we decided to return it - nothing close to advertising, 2 of 6 pieces did not work from beginning - not to good start. Regardless all promises they said they will not give us money back because they count not from the day you got package,- from the day it sent (even if you got it week or two later). We payed $2,319.25 and lost all the money. Don't do any business with this company!

We are surprised to see this review - The system was purchased in February 2019 and this is the first time we are hearing of this issue. Please contact us, so that we can assist in getting the system working the way you need it - The product is still under warranty and tech support/training.
Note: We checked your account and notice that there are a few incomplete set up issues that may be affecting your display. These can be configured in a couple of minutes and fixed with just 1 phone call.

Tried several digital signage solutions…

Tried several digital signage solutions and found doPublicity to be the best product. No special TV or PC is needed, and the small appliance is easy to setup and hide behind a TV.
Found the Software as a Service (SaaS) to be very user friendly and intuitive with lots of templates to choose from.
Most importantly I had a couple of questions and the Tech Support was excellent. Was able to reach a live person quickly and my questions were answered to my satisfaction.
This is a low cost signage system that easily competes with high priced systems.

Easy Setup, Easy to Use

This system is a really easy to roll out digital signage solution. All that is required is a direct internet connection to the media player. The interface is very easy to use. Only problem I have is occasionally I need to reboot the units to get them to 'sync' up with the web server. The support is very prompt, typically I get an immediate response, or a call back within an hour. Overall great setup with a one time cost to host content on digital signage without ongoing fees or server maintenance.

Outstanding!!! No Hesitations - No Reservations!!!

We purchased 4 sets from doPublicity and are getting ready to order 1 more set. Their service and tech support have been excellent and very responsive. I had looked at many options and find the ease of use and signage management to be extremely easy with a lot of templates and flexibility. Without hesitation and/or reservation, I strongly recommend doPublicity to anyone looking for a great digital signage solution!

Nothing but Problems from the…

Nothing but Problems from the Beginning. They take your 500$ and give you a broke system. Not even able to display 2 slides from their Thousands!!!
Got the box and took a month to set it up, because of course you have to call them to set it up.. Then pick your template, figure out how to incorporate your menu items, another 2 weeks... Opps past your Return period!!
Then have it refresh, update, from the website,.... Tired!!! Junk!!

Dave, I called you (and your wife Elisa) today as soon as you let us know that you needed assistance. In fact, it is 12:52 PM PST now and you had requested a call at @ 2.00 PM PST and am scheduled to call you. As regards returning the unit, you had purchased it on 10/19/2017 - the 30 days return expired on 11/18/2017. We believe there is a setting issue and need to work with you to resolve it and your responses during the call are not helping resolve the situation.

Note: You stated that you HAVE TO call us to set up - This is not true. Most customers are able to setup and have the system running within minutes - please see the multiple reviews that are evidence to that. In case assistance is needed, we are here to train and assist in getting the system running.
