Fantastic one night stay for a baby moon. The room was lovely and had everything you need with additional coffee machine. We had dinner in the pub and it was fantastic, well priced and staff were brilliant. It’s only 5 minutes drive from everything but far enough away that it’s feels very peaceful.
We stayed here one night, the room was lovely clean well equipped. Me and my friend shared abed as no singles were left, we both slept very well the bed was that big we didn’t meet in the middle .
We had dinner which was lovely little over priced , £15 service charge which I asked to be taken off x breakfast next morning was nice too, just small menu but suffice.
Over all me and my friend had a lovely overnight stay to relax and enjoy the countryside.
If I was to criticise it would be the staff would be more attentive and observant and perhaps chatty .
The meal was OK though very expensive (one meal had to go back to be heated). The nasty taste was in the sneaky billing. A 12.5% service charge was sneaked into the bill. Not many people would notice it at the end of a meal; sneaky. I thought the bill a bit high, so unusually I looked at it. I objected. I found that it had still been charged. Waitress response was that she assumed I was joking. After a fuss that spoiled the meal, I was reimbursed.
I would not go there again. I will repeat this in other reviews to caution others. We eat out a lot and have never met this shady practice before. We do give tips usually, but we give. We don't have them taken by stealth.
