Awful experience, refuse to look up minor crime reports submitted. Totally ineffectual that a vigilant safety group has actually been set up to patrol the streets.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Dorset Police regarding my report of image-based sexual abuse.

My concerns relate particularly to the handling of my report by Officer Farzana. I was left extremely distressed by the fact that relevant information and documentation were not passed on to the appropriate people in a timely manner. As a result, my case was closed and I have been left having to try to reopen the matter, causing further stress and frustration.

Throughout this process, I felt that the communication and support provided to me as a victim were inadequate. I was repeatedly trying to provide information and understand what was happening with my report, but I felt dismissed rather than supported.

I also had a very negative experience when contacting the police by phone. Alex was hostile and aggressive during my interaction with them, and I felt the manner in which I was spoken to was inappropriate and lacked empathy. I felt that my concerns were not being taken seriously.

I was also unhappy with my interaction with Jack, who refused to put me through to another officer when I was trying to provide further information. This was particularly confusing because I had previously been told that I did not have to communicate only through Officer Farzana and could report information through another officer.

Reporting image-based sexual abuse is an incredibly difficult and traumatic experience. Victims should not feel that they have to fight to be heard, repeatedly explain themselves, or struggle to get basic communication and support.

I hope Dorset Police reviews how these cases are handled, particularly around evidence management, communication with victims, and ensuring victims feel supported throughout the process.

I was victim of stranger hitting me and police didn’t arrest her and in end ask us to leave the beach and we just arrived from Reading driving 2.5 h hours to have fun with my 4 kids and to protect my son I got hit and the shit police didn’t do anything about it.
Came to Bournemouth someone to beat me and to go back home like is my fault.
Dorset police I am so unhappy with you service.

How many more lies can Bournemouth police tell? They are a farce ! Due to their failings and lies a lady ends up having to go to hospital after a second attempt at a robbery after they failed to show after the first one despite999 call! The chief constable should resign as it is blatantly obvious she is not fit for purpose an utter disgrace! Shame on you!

You have shut the police station down in Shaftesbury, but keep it open for clandestine activities. The public pay hard earned taxes and you show your appreciation by hiding behind a closed police station. The police in Shaftesbury in the 1980s and 1990s were brilliant. Smart and respectable and hard working. In 2026 this is the antithesis.

Absolutely bloody incompetent. Couldn't catch a real criminal if one came up and bit them. They go for what they considered soft targets, instead of tackling career criminals.

The cruelty that in particular Ferndown police treat residents with is beyond intolerable,house robberies where vulnerable old people r being repeatedly targeted and full Cctv given to the police when they finally acknowledge your complaint but do nothing is putting lives in danger and it’s just unacceptable that this is followed up with the blame being put on the victims rather than policing the crime,so so many burglaries going on right now and police respond with “you have house insurance” utterly heartbreaking soul destroying behaviour

I would like to give Dorset Police the biggest THANK YOU EVER , Yesterday I saw what an incredible team we have . Starting with the lovely calm voice on the phone to the amazing police officer who came round then all the other officers involved . My friend with severe dementia had gone walkabout armed with suitcases and within a few hours she had been located 94.6 miles away, which in itself unbelievable . I am blown away by the speed and the network of incredible officers that found her which must have been like looking for a needle in a haystack . They were absolutely AMAZING. You were all so so kind and reasurring throughout and returned my dear friend safely which again goes above and beyond . THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU , I have no idea how you did what you did but WHAT A TEAM . XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Always chasing the hard working man for a few more quid and never policing the real matters. Hiding in places to catch me doing a few miles over the speed limit.

I live in charlton down Dorchester. There is a issue with drug use cannabis etc particularly in certain areas of the village. Also speeding loud vehicles etc.and theft .they just can't be bothered. Out of sight out of mind. Lots of residents wont report because nothing gets done. No confidence i am afraid .but it is deserved

I had a welfare check called on me a couple of months ago, it still baffles me what this was all about.
I had just lost my father and I was hitting the booze pretty hard.. Dealing with grief or problems with heavy Alcohol is never a good idea and the outcome is nearly always atrocious..
I was black out drunk one night and one of my neighbours called the police for a welfare check, it still feels like a dream!!
But what I do remember is the two officers that attended where the most decent and kind hearted people I have ever met.. They were concerned but totally UN intrusive, they asked why I was upset and I explained. I remember one of the officers giving me a hug and telling me that everything was going to be ok!.
Yes there are some bad police out there but there are also many good officers that generally care about people and just want to help..
I do not remember the officers that visited me or their badge numbers.
But whoever you are, I thank you with all my heart..

How many people have took their own life due to the many failures from Hampshire police
I genuinely feel high,The amount of victim abuse from the police is another level right now it doesn't matter if your rapes or robbed your treated like scum insulted and ignored as a criminal however your treated with kid gloves
This fact should have been addressed years ago instead we have an unhealthy unfit police force failing the community and this is mainly down to police not having an open mind any more they judge without facts to many times

My heartfelt thanks to all the Police Officers who attended me to search for my husband Howard Jones,who suffers from dementia, who went missing on Weymouth sea front on Saturday 6th September. They arrived within minutes and every effort made. He was eventually found with the help of cctv and I was exceedingly grateful. Please thank all officers on my behalf.

Most useless firm about, only care about young kids smoking spliffs as they’re too stupid for real crime.

What an absolute let down by Dorset Police. My elderly father was badly assaulted by a young lad showing off and you couldn’t even be bothered to go and see him, assign an officer to the case or basically follow it up at all. The only thing you were interested in was when I said we would sort it out ourselves. Do your job properly in the first place. What’s the point in even involving the police anymore? They’re not interested one bit. I was told there was a back log which doesn’t surprise me due to their incompetence and not giving a sh!t. I was told on the phone by one of your colleagues that it wasn’t deemed priority because it wasn’t a life or death situation. Thank god it wasn’t as I still wouldn’t have any confidence that you’d be bothered or know what to do if it was. Completely lost all faith in the system.

Luckily I don't live in the area, but do work here. If this was the private sector, being would lose their jobs for the level of laziness shown.

Disgusting Police force that throws its own officers under the bus for doing their job! One of their officers arrests a knife carrying 15yr old believed to be involved in two violent attacks and he gets sacked because he wasn’t nice to him. Perhaps he should have made him a cup of tea and had a chat about it first. Their senior management are the ones that need sacking!

Winton police, can you explain why I have made over 100+ reports about my neighbours and there herion use that causes fights and rows and doors being smashed every night, in the last 4 years and not once have you come to speak to me, collect evidence I've been collecting for years, and why tonight your officer has been the most rude person I have ever come across, I have tried to talk to them/ make a report, show them video proof and I was told to get back in my flat as I was causing a disturbance like what?...
They then told me they would come speak to me, at this point I wanted the officers name and badge number to report him but they drove away before I had a chance to say 1 word...
This isn't the first time they have driven off...
I'm disgusted in what you call police.

Dorset Police, can u explain why u are not bothered by a sexual assault crime???
A young woman, was sexually assaulted and had her mobile pinched. The womans dad reported the assault, all u was going to do. Was give a crime number.
A YOUNG WOMAN WAS SEXUALLY ASSAULTTED BY AN ILLEGAL IMMIGR@NT. DO YOUR JOBS. OR ARE U ANOTHER POLICE FORCE COMPLICIT IN THE SEXU@LLY ASS@ULT OR THE R@PES OF OUR DAUGHTERS.
