Disappointing decline in service after 20 years

Disappointing decline in service after nearly 20 years

I was a customer of DotCanada.com for nearly 20 years.

In recent years, I experienced serious issues with billing and support that ultimately led me to move my hosting elsewhere.

The most significant issue was billing. I was charged roughly two months before my renewal date. The payment was processed within hours of the invoice notification. When I contacted support to reverse the charge, I was unable to resolve it and ultimately had to dispute the transaction through my credit card provider before it was addressed.

Support has also declined noticeably. All communication is handled through their ticketing system, with no clear way to escalate issues or speak with anyone directly. My recent support requests took 3–6 weeks each to resolve, and required repeated follow-ups just to keep things moving.

After nearly two decades as a customer, I did not make the decision to leave lightly. However, between the billing practices and the slow, rigid support process, I no longer had confidence in continuing with the service.
