Read the fine print very carefully. They only pay for medication once per illness. If reoccurring condition they do not pay even if you have an annual medication amount still available. I will never recommend Dotsure.

This company doesn’t even deserve a one star rating! I read the previous reviews and understood why! Took out a warranty cover and now that I have to claim cause my car has a terrible vibration when turning and a knocking/ clicking sound as the car goes faster? I registered the claim on the 16th it’s now the 24th and I have submitted my service history, RMI approved quote, as well as a damage report as they requested. I was informed today that despite producing an authenticate RMI damage report and quote that they cannot verify the damages to the vehicle. I’m expected to drive the unroadworthy vehicle back and forth to the RMI shop on separate dates in the condition that my vehicle is in? Once for a damage report, once to answer a questionnaire/ survey. Even with a clear description on the damage report- they can’t understand the problem. They further proceed to directly contact the RMI shop to further enquire about the validity of the complaint? And after all of these takes place? The claim is still not approved!! If Sbahle Lujalajala is your warranty assessor? Good luck because this person has no logic!!

Please whatever they sell to you with all the out of this benefits is just a lie. Dot.sure is incompetent and they will be never be there when you need them the most. I took my vehicle for repairs. Today they dont need to pay.

Terrible pet insurance. Don't waste your money. They make all sorts of useless lame excuses not to pay. The red tape is endless.

I am so disappointed beyond. I was introduced by wife to Dotsure because she was highly recommending them. I then switched from iwyze to Dotsure, not knowing my life is about to change for worse.

Last week my I had an accident and I submitted the claim and its was denied. Because according to them the I exceeded 1000km in a month.

In my surprise, I do not remember agreeing to such. So I then requested the recording when I was signing the contract. They keep saying they requested the recording.

Please who ever is in charge with recordings, please assist for my closure.

I have been trying to cancel my policy all morning. They won't cancel it when you phone, only by phoning you back, but then they don't phone you back. This is ridiculous. I have to sit on hold on the phone over and over again.

They did not pay out on one claim. Totally misleading

One of the worst companies to give your hard-earned money to, they reject claims like nobody's business. Not sure if they profile people or what. But tell your friends, colleagues and their mama not to deal with these people, you are better off asking your bank for assistance.

Being with them for more than 15years, but this company it's nonsonce when it comes to service delivery , i regret wasting my many years in it, from the receptionist lady nooooo when one calls they just hangup the calls on or refused to transfer you to where u suppoed to be transfered. I wil never recommend it to anyone

Unfortunately, a negative rating is not possible but I would provided it if possible. This company uses call centres with unethical business practices that range from collecting your information to debiting your account without verification. I would expect that if you did get a sale from these unethical, meager and munipulative sources a company of good substance would verify these sales. They do infact not.

I was contacted by an agent informing me that my warranty on my vehicle has expired and I would need to renew it. Not certain of the validity of the claim I questioned it. This resulted in. Reassurances that information would be sent to my and the final approval would be done via a Debi check, which I declined. Only to be surprised with my account being debited in anycase.
I would not recommend willingly contacting this company for a quote as you will only make yourself more succeptible to falling prey for their telemarketing sales line.

This is by far the best company I have dealt with in a long while. Long time client for pet insurance and they have been exemplary every dealing I have had, which is many owing to a very sick dog. Monthly vet bills and medication often paid on the same day. Quite amazing and speedy service.

Cancelled my pet insurance with Dotsure.co.za on the 10 August 2025...they have debited my account on the 1st September and now again on 1st October....no response regarding my cancellation email or the 2 debit orders going off except a AI generated OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG REGARDING YOUR DEBIT ORDER....

Past 12am midnight, financial ruins, psychological and emotional implications. Insomnia. Loss of income. Paying monthly premiums for a written off car with a rejected claim. They made an error on inception of cover and apparently their best effort to clear the error now that we are here, is for them to return all the premiums I paid towards the policy. Lets all just pretend nothing happened right?
Im pretty sure they are sleeping quite peacefully.

Seamless processing of all my pet claims and payment within 2 days. The whole process is effortless, takes just a few minutes online and a bot takes you through each step.

I wouldn't recommend dot sure to my worst enemy, they will give you a cover that basically covers you only when you get stuck with a your. Who you take your car in for service they literally pay for noting.

Their service is pathetic and their service consultants are very rude and talking about their managers it's even worse. They actually don't care about servicing their clients.

I would recommend to shop around for other companies before coming yourself to dot sure. They're the worst.

I has a warranty plan for Landrover Discovery Sport and Audi Q3 23 TFSI 2022. I took a Landrover in for service and they picked up there were also mechanical parts that needed to be replaced. `they refused to pay saying they would only pay if my car was stuck and had to be put on a truck as it could not drive due to mechanical problem, then they would pay.

WHA IS A DISAPPOINTMENT.

I have a policy with Dotsure for almost seven years if not longer When I add my new vehicle on my policy they told me my other vehicle can not be covered any more since it is older than 15 years, so for 32 years I have been paying they did not let me know that my vehicle is to old I have added my new vehicle so now for the first time in seven years of paying I made a claim and guess what they don't cover so for seven years I've been paying for nothing

Let me tell you the truth about Dotsure…. Their supposed care for animals is just a gimmick. They latched on to the idea that people love animals, so set this pet insurance up to pull on your heartstrings …. Do not waste your money on this.

Our 14 month old puppy went through severe trauma with a myriad of illnesses. We used specialist services in South Africa to help her and keep her alive… having to travel and stay in Cape Town for surgery and for the illnesses she picked up including Candida, Pneumonia, Esophagitis and Megaoesophagus.

Total cost of treatment not including costs for accommodation whilst in CT was in excess to ZAR160,000 … Dotsure were so pleased to tell us that they were very happy to cover us for ZAR3900…. That is less than 2.5%

The last claim for hospital treatment, medicine etc was for ZAR41,767… of which they were overjoyed to cover us for just ZAR105.22…. less than 1%

Disturbingly, I believe they are backed by AI answering and assessment services, as when you submit a claim online it’s like using chat messaging and even after very detailed explanations of the illness and procedures, your “assessment” is settled in mere minutes, no chance for discussion.

More to this point… in our detailed description of events, three times we mentioned that the dog had to be euthanised, and after this they sent a “get well” card to us, hoping our dog has a “speedy recovery”, pretty difficult when she died!…. this proves beyond doubt that they treat these circumstances like a machine, and there is no human behind this.

Don’t waste your money with Dotsure… instead, put what you want to pay them, into a “doggie” bank savings account, and when, in a rare event like ours, you will be better covered, and if not then you will end up with a healthy bank account… do the maths… their small payouts are not worth it.

Nothing to trust about Dotsure. They have a handbook full of excuses for reasons not pay claims. Run!!!
