Follow-up: unhelpful, unprofessional, trying to remove negative reviews
10 days ago I wrote a detailed review of doudouplanet.com, that accurately and honestly described our experience with their "customer service."
This review only explained events as they occurred, namely:
1. We contacted the company multiple times over three days regarding online price discrepancies.
2. They did not respond to our specific inquiry until they had raised prices on all items in question.
3. They refused to honor the prices listed when we had initially contacted them (3 days earlier), prices that were still valid some 12 hours before we had spoken to a service representative
4. They did not - and still have not - responded to our initial inquiry, again to simply verify sale prices (which again, they raised before responding)
We were told on the phone that no one responded to our email because they had “internet” troubles. Yet inexplicably, a mere 2 HOURS after I left a review detailing our experience in trying resolve our issue, they flagged my initial review for possibly “breaching of Trustpilot guidelines." This is a clearly a joke, but one that (I believe) explains why their trustpilot rating is artificially high. (I noticed they flagged another review the same day; from this it is safe to infer that this is company policy, regardless of their “internet” troubles.)
To summarize: Instead of responding to a simple email about a price discrepancy question, or assisting us the three days we phoned directly (we were always told to call back, to speak with a manager who was never once there), they ignored our question(s), have still not responded to our email, raised the prices of all items in question, and flagged my initial review.
In other words, rather than address our initial inquiry, doudouplanet.com:
1. Waited until they raised prices to respond to our multiple inquiries (email and phone) regarding sale prices.
2. Still have yet to respond to our email.
3. Flagged my initial trustpilot review 2 hours after it was posted, despite citing “internet” issues as the reason their manager never responded to our inquiries.
As the saying goes, they are making my point.
Rather than address a simple customer question, they ignored us, raised prices, and then attempted to silence an honest, objective summary of their business practices.
Their apparent aversion to working with their customers in a professional, timely fashion is nothing short of astounding. If only they had responded to our email as quickly as they attempted to hide my review!
