Sometimes I use the website to check a that I use to make sure that it works then comment if people have the same problem as me but it keeps banned me from commenting for no reason.

Not a very good service, it is often wrong.

People are just bitter in these reviews. Use it to check if the problems you are having are up to you or the servers. If its you. you will know because there wont be any reports. Like phone services down, games, and more. If there arent reports better get to googling because it means you can fix or replace whatever isnt working and its not the servers. Again dont really understand the bad reviews.. lol

Total scam site. Just says that whatever website you're checking is down, and that there's been an uptick in searches in the past hour. Even website that are up and running perfectly are said to be down.

They pretend to be an expert, you talk to a chat bot, and then they ask for your credit card info. SCAM

Not accurate says zero problems with spectrum and after contacting spectrum its due to outage in my area. Makes sense

When I used the online chat to report a problem in my area, the agent put up a form requesting my credit card details to charge me a supposedly fully refundable fee to be connected to an "expert".
In this day and age I am NOT going to disclose credit card details over an online chat! It HAS to be a scam.

Agent chat message stated my card would be charged $1 and refunded upon connecting to an agent. They attempted to charge my card $46. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!

I have spent an hour trying to comment and it won't let me.

Currently Spectrum is down, frustrated I went to the internet and DownDetector to see if there's an issue. Of course, there isn't according to DownDetector. The site usually says there's no problem, at least for me. So, I went directly to Spectrum where there was a large red banner stating they were having an outage issue but were working on it. So check the source directly for accurate information.

Downdetector online is indicating that there are no outages with Virgin Média. This information is incorrect, there is a major outage from 6pm last night, and although it had texted me at 8:7am after I called VM it won't be resolved until 12:00 original time from speaking with VM last night was 3pm today. Not very helpful looking at Downdetector.

i rejected cookies only to realise comments from others in my area would not be accessible so i have tried and tried to open preferences but it just wont but it remembers that i said no and that's it now? 1 star is a bit too much no option for 0. people like me use computers and their services to try and do more and save time but quite often it would be quicker to invent and build these things then use them and rely on them. Another day wasted soon my life will run out and this so called technology will have wasted more than half of it...

Considering tons of news outlets reference their site and numbers I consider them legitimate. I've found them extremely helpful on multiple occasions. And especially today's worldwide outage. 5 stars

I like Down Detector because I always use it to check if sites are down if they are not working, But the reason I gave it 4 stars is because it sometimes does not feature the program I need to check. Overall great program
