Just another collection of loud inconsiderate humans that cause others anxiety and keep them awake on weekdays!!!. Pretty pathetic that this is allowed surrounded by several towns where people work... See more

Accessibility provision is very poor, especially if you are a trader. Transport hub doesn't run on set up day so get ready for a hike uphill and downhill.

I had accessibility and I was very impressed by the way the events team handled the crow

Bad management

Bad management, poor services, staff don’t give a dam, rip off prices, worst festival in the world. False advertising putting us outside download 30 mins walk to the arena, yet they claim you will be close ! Just lies. Serious health and safety breaches putting peoples lives at risk. What a shocker !!

Used to be a metal festival,now it's…

Used to be a metal festival, now it's barely even rock.
Too commercial by far, absolute rip off prices, and too many people.
Staff are very unfriendly,as are food stalls.
If it rains, you are in trouble.
2 mile walk from car park.
No fun anymore,advice is,go Bloodstock.So much better.

A Huge Rock/Metal Couples Retreat

In my first return to Download since it’s 10th Anniversary, the 20th was joyous. Yes, it was cramped in areas and could argue that it was oversold, but I definitely think it will be a lesson learnt as it was a unique event with it being 4 days of festivals.

My only issue with the modern day download, which is of no fault of the organisers, is the fact it’s just a guitar-themed couples retreat. As a single man, I have never seen so many couples all together in one place before in my life! And I have been to council estate weddings…

You would be walking through a crowd and approached by a really striking woman, and you’d think “wow she is lovel…..” before her ginger-beared man would follow. Every. Single. Time.

I had a lovely encounter with a lady called ‘Megan’. We discussed the glowstick hanging out of my stretched ear lobe as she assisted with making it into a loop. We then gave our view on the nice bum we could see in front of us, and we immediately hit it off with similar interests. She went to compliment this bum owner and didn’t return back to me. When i found her again, there she stood hand-in-hand with her fella.

I have no issues what so ever with couples attending festivals, but do it at Glastonbury, not the most enjoyable rock festival on planet earth! 😂

A sardine can

Well organised festival but absolutely rammed. An unpleasant experience I'll think twice about next year.

Download lost it's spark

I've been going to download since 2018 and I've watched it change. After COVID the staff and festival goers have lost motivation ( I had 2 members of staff tell me the same thing) the crowds are dead and the water bottles are dunked in buckets mixing everyone's saliva into the drinking water to the point it tasted exactly like bath water (not very COVID free) and the stock of waters ran out every single day, they had a heads up of the weather and still didn't buy enough stock for 110 thousand people, not to mention they upped the price twice mid festival.
Eco camp was not eco at all, there was no little option for bins so people dumped rubbish everywhere.

2022 major grief to get tickets

The festival itself is always great , but this year is an absolute shambles just trying to get there . Purchased RIP tickets months ago , they charged for postage then decided to switch to e-tickets , which they’ve left to the very last minute to send , apparently 5 days before gig , it’s now 2 days to festival and still no e-tickets , trying to contact them to see what’s happening is a nightmare as there’s too many fingers in the pie ,between the download site , vip nation and ticketmaster . I’ve managed to log back in via the download site and can see my order , it does have a button to click to resend “digital passes “ which I’ve now hit half a dozen times , it then says “sent” , I go to my email and nothing (even in junk mail) nearly 1600 quid for tickets ,2days to go and I’m stressing right out now , I’ve never had this much grief going to download in the past . This is seriously putting me off going back in the future .
