Used the service several times before and had no issues except with ok mobility in the past who try hard selling of extra insurance

Having rented a car with the added insurance through doyouspain and arrived at Malaga airport, I find the rental company “Goldcar” will not accept my booking as my credit card does not have “embossed” digits on it. This was a feature years ago on old credit cards, but nearly all companies moved to the more secure flat numbers many years ago.
So we discussed cancelling the car, called the “doyouspain” emergency number and surprise surprise find its “number unobtainable”. I think that others have found that out and probably says all you need to know about this company. Once booked, your booking has issues and no chance to contact them.
Not acceptable .
Funnily enough Goldcar would accept my debit card if I took out their insurance (over €300 Euros for 6 days….beware).
This is not an acceptable way to treat customers and please all beware.

Ease of use for the website. My “go-to” car booking service for the last 11 years. Always get good deals and have preferred suppliers with whom I always get a good deal for my trips. Always check cars thoroughly before driving off from the car park but never had problems in return.

I asked for a change in the name and you send a review request to the wrong name?

Really easy booking on website. Information is clear and prices very competitive. Hope the collection and the car turn out to be as good.

I rented a car. They diverted me with Clickrent, which frauded me with alleged damage and took 350€ from my credit card. Boycott Clickrent and boycott doyouspain too!

User friendly website, reasonably priced rental and insurance, available at the airport.

I am updating my review as I received the link that allows modification of the rental, and so far it seems ok. I still hope the full insurance I got here is respected by the direct rental service (centauro)

I am very disappointed with the service I have received. I booked a car and went to collect it from Alamo, but the vehicle I reserved was not available. The manager in Barcelona Sants railway station assured me that I would receive a full refund.
However, it has now been more than 20 days, and despite following up almost daily via email, I have not received a proper resolution. I keep getting the same response that the matter is being checked, but there has been no progress or clear timeline provided. This ongoing delay is extremely frustrating. I would strongly suggest that if anyone books a car through Doyouspain and does not receive the vehicle you reserved, you should ensure the issue is fully resolved on the spot. Otherwise, you may end up facing a similar frustrating experience.

I booked a rental car in Mallorca through DoYouSpain with “full coverage insurance” included. According to the booking, the only remaining charge at pickup was around 14€ in environmental fees.

However, when I arrived at the rental desk, the agent told me I had to purchase an additional insurance package to receive the car. I explained that I had already paid for full coverage through the booking website, but the agent insisted the extra insurance was mandatory. The situation was not clearly presented as an optional deposit vs. insurance choice.

I refused to pay for a second insurance policy and therefore did not receive the vehicle. I tried contacting customer support from the airport, but the support line was unavailable. Afterwards, my refund request was denied and the case was treated as a “non-refundable cancellation,” even though the issue was that the rental conditions at pickup did not match what was advertised during booking.

Very disappointing experience and poor transparency regarding the real pickup conditions and additional costs.

Easy and straightforward

Easy to use website & pricing clear. Used DYS for over 10 years and would recommend. We take out our own annual excess insurance in the UK so don’t buy their insurance products.
