We were set up on 7th April 2017 on Ditton Beach, Thames Ditton, Surrey, by a bunch of adventure seeking newbies to paddle boarding, with a couple of secondhand boards. They were very unstable and bendy. We are now a fully formed affiliated club under British Canoeing. We have four Paddle Bases locally and groups going out weekly exploring the waterways locally. In the summer months, we go on Safari. Finding new bits of water we haven’t explored before. We offer Paddle Board training to small groups with a high coach to student ratio.

A wonderful afternoon

I had a wonderful day on Sunday at a beginners paddle boarding session. It was a surprise birthday present and being over sixty I was a little apprehensive. But I needn’t have worried, instructors Paul and Liz were excellent and Liz took really good care of me throughout the session making sure I was safe and felt comfortable. It was a lovely afternoon and we travelled a long way. It was a wonderful way to spend a birthday, I fully recommend DPB and am planning to go again in the future. Thanks for everything guys

I attended the improver session with…

I attended the improver session with with Brett. He was super knowledgeable, and it really came across that he is doing it because he loves the water, rather than for tourism/profiting. I felt very safe, and he taught me safety techniques, and self rescue (I very helpfully fell in so I could practice this). It was a lovely paddle, and has given me a lot more confidence to go out on the water.
