Hi Laura,

Thank you for your feedback on behalf of the company I did the work for; Natural Air (UK) Limtied.

I would like to clear up some of the inaccuracies with your review. When Natural Air (UK) Limited first got in contact with me through our website it stated that you'd only tried "that de block stuff etc... nothing has worked". So I arranged to come round as quick as possible. I happened to have a cancellation that day so was able to come quickly.

When I arrived I was basically pointed at the ladies toilets and kitchen sink, saying these are the blocked sinks. I gave it an initial inspection to see how bad the blockage was. When the kitchen sink was being used the ladies toilet basin would begin to overflow. I set about using the standard "non evasive" techniques that I regularly use to remove blockages which usually result in success.

These "non evasive" techniques usually mean removing the traps, in your particular case blocking one of the pipework so that air cannot be sucked in/out which I use the Wet Vac to suck or blow the blockage out of the pipework. This method, in my opinion is the most effective way to remove a blockage within pipework. This particular time, it did not work.

So I moved onto the more traditional methods of blockage removal which did include trying to rod the pipework I could get at using 10mm pipe which would fit down the 40mm kitchen sink pipework. This also proved to be ineffective.

I also used the commercial/industrial grade drain unblocker (One Shot) which is 96% Sulphric Acid. (Not the standard rubbish stuff that could be brought off the shelf in a supermarket). Using this directly into the pipework allowed it to partially remove the blockage allowing water to run freely instead of backing up and overflowing through the ladies toilets basin.

I could still tell there was a partial blockage in the pipework but it was much better than before (it would now just gurgle in the ladies toilet basin instead of overflow) and the staff would be able to temporarily be able to use it until the more invasive work could be done (removal of the boxing in the ladies and removal of waste pipework). For me this would need to be arranged for another day as this type of work cannot have an accurate timescale attached to it.

When I first arrived, I wasn't given any direct instructions on what Natural Air (UK) Limited wanted me to do apart from remove the blockage. It was only after approximately 1hour of starting the work did the director of the company, Paul Stubbs (at this point I had only liasied with Laura Hall) get handed to me on a phone (as he wasn't at the offices) telling me that he wanted the boxing removed and pipework changed. At this point in the day, it was too late to change what I had done and to start the more invasive method.

I can understand disappointment from the company that the blockage hadn't been fully removed. But I don't think a 1-star review is justified.

I did what was asked when I first arrived, I tried all the methods I normally do that are proven to usually work. I clearly spoke to Laura when I arrived what I planned to do and with the other staff members there after Laura had left.

The blockage, which isn't fully removed is now better than it was before. It now allows water to flow freely with a gurgle coming from the ladies toilets basin instead of overflowing. Which allows the staff to continue to use the facilities.

This particular job for me, didn't deserve 5-stars but neither did it deserve the 1-star review that I got.

I am always prepared to talk about any work done, with the customer that isn't happy about the outcome but Laura - Natural Air (UK) Limited didn't even get in touch. They left the review as soon as I left the premises. Laura wasn't even there to talk when I left.

If Laura or Natural Air (UK) Limited wishes to discuss this further, I am still happy to do so. I can be reached at my email: dan@dpjplumbing.co.uk

Boiler replacement

Dan fitted a new boiler. He was extremely professional and polite throughout the whole process. Due to the age of some of the radiators the job took him longer than expected. He was totally committed and stayed until everything was in working order. Our new boiler is fantastic and radiators that have never got hot in 13 years are working fantastically. Would highly recommend Dan

Very pleased with Dan's helpful and customer focused approach to work. We had him install a Main Eco combi boiler, he did what he said he was going to do and at the time he said he was going to do it. We're very happy with the boiler and the cracking service Dan delivers.

Great Service - would recommend

Brilliant service! Attended to our boiler breakdown and gave honest advice on the best approach to take. Pricing was exactly where we expected it to be. Dan is very enthusiastic about the industry and it showed in the work he undertook and the professionalism he brought along

Will definitely be booking again for some other pipe work around the house!

Avoid totally incompetent!

Last march this plumber attended to service my Ideal Classic gas boiler. The boiler was working fine until this joker touched it. He said he needed to order a part and left my wife and I who are pensioners in the freezing cold with red tape stuck across the boiler stating do not use. A day or two later he attended and fitted the part and all was well. Late in the same year in November we decided to have the boiler serviced early to get ready for winter. Once again this joker turns up to service a perfectly working boiler. After 4 hours of continually leaving the house making calls on his mobile he declared he could not get the boiler to ignite and left us without any heating for a second time. As we were freezing we called another engineer who rectified the problem within 5 minutes. This joker had failed to connect the pressure tubes from the fan to the pressure switch effectively rendering the boiler unusable. Avoid using this firm they are a joke.

Hi Steve

Thank you for your feedback in regard to your issue from the previous year and more recently the November just gone.
I understand and sympathize with your concern when you were left without heating for 24 hours in March 2019. This was, unfortunately, a necessary inconvenience due to a broken seal that had perished due to the age of the boiler which was deemed unfit for purpose so had to be shut down.

A part was ordered and fitted within 24 hours, resulting in your boiler working correctly.

Your more recent complaint from this previous boiler service was a genuine mistake on my part. After ample time spent at your property, I was unable to diagnose the problem, resulting in another engineer attending. When I returned to do the service I offered so for free of charge, we agreed upon me receiving a half fee for the service. Within the week after the boiler service, you requested £30 back which I was happy to give you, but you then changed your mind which you said was due to seasonal goodwill. I felt that we had left on amicable terms.

Consequently, I have received further contact from you ten weeks later asking for my company to make you a substantial offer. Due to the matter having been resolved at the time this request was declined.

Feedback is something I always welcome whether positive or negative, I will use your review to help improve my services for future customers.

If you would like to discuss this further you can reach me at dan@dpjplumbing.co.uk

Kind regards

ATAG boiler installation/Upgrade with Nest Thermostat in RUGELEY

DPJ completed the installation of my new ATAG boiler (Rugeley) little over 3 weeks ago. This is quite the upgrade from Gravity, coal back boiler. The Nest thermostat rounds the system off nicely for the new smart age.

I found DPJ to be extremely honest, competitively priced and consummate professionals. I would not hostage to recommend. The rather complex upgrade was completed with minimal disruption in a home with 3 small kids. I did not expect to find this level of quality and professionalism from a local supplier. By far, the best tradesman to have worked in my home.

Tanks for the review Adam. It was great being able to put your new and first gas boiler into your property. With the ATAG boiler, you can enjoy the next 10 years worry-free.
