I wish I could give more stars! Dream Wedding Insurance saved our wedding. When our venue stopped responding to our calls and emails, we knew something was wrong, and when we received a letter saying that the venue had gone bankrupt, I almost fell to my knees. We would have lost everything, over $30,000, but thanks to Dream Wedding Insurance, and thanks to my mum who reccomended we insure the wedding, we got back every cent! Wedding 2.0 went perfectly. I don't know what would have happened to us if we didn't get that money back... we definitely wouldn't be married right now. Thanks Dream Wedding Insurance, and thanks mum x

Wow where to begin. Long story short. Our wedding was cancelled due to COVID 19. We made a claim in which took over 2 months for them to come to the decision to ‘post pone’ our claim and told us they would review it again in 4 months time. They kept insisting it wasn’t rejected and that they postponed because flights may open again soon so that we could have our wedding overseas... that was already completely cancelled. They said they would give us within 2 months of a new wedding date an answer. Unsure how you can plan an overseas wedding in less than 2 months with no view of borders opening any time soon. Completely dodgy. We escalated our claim higher to the authorities in which our claim was then accepted (like it should have been months previously).

They will do anything to not pay a claim and also do not reply to any emails or when they do it’s weeks later and don’t actually address the issues you’ve stated. I understand it’s an extraordinary time in the world at the moment but the lack of communication and not even following legalities is a red flag.

So thankful we took out wedding insurance. As a result of the covid-19 restrictions we cancelled our wedding when our venue would only let us postpone under unreasonable circumstances. As a result of cancelling we lost our deposit so claimed our wedding insurance for this loss. It was the easiest process and everyone we dealt with was so understanding and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Absolute waste of money. Will seek any clause to avoid paying claim. Do not put your money into these policies.

I took wedding insurance earlier this year and we had to make a claim when our wedding was cancelled in April. I filled in a claim form which didn't take long, sent evidence of correspondence via email and the money we lost from the cancellation was paid into my account quickly. Fantastic service, money well spent and I wouldn't hesitate to use Dream Wedding Insurance again.

Quick to take the money but not so quick to act on the 14day cooling off period that is stated on there website. We took insurance out on Tuesday the 17th of March to protect our wedding incase it would be affected - we luckily no longer need the insurance. However despite countless emails chasing Dream Wedding Insurance we have not received any confirmation that we will get our money back.
We have email trails chasing the company and will be going to Fair trading if we reach the 14days....we took the insurance out in the morning and cancelled it later that very same day.

Just as the pandemic of COVID-19 began to take place, we thought we would preemptively attempt to get insurance for our wedding arranged (which is in 8 months time) just in case.
Our requests for calls got rejected, and never received any correspondence via email. It seems that as insurance companies have to start acting on their policies they avoid helping anyone else.
I would steer clear of this mob as I cannot say for sure if they are even real or would infact withhold their policies.

Dream Wedding Insurance literally saved our wedding. Our wedding planners went into liquidation and if it wasn't for Dream Wedding Insurance we would have had to cancel our wedding! Purchasing the policy was super easy and the claims process was just as simple! I would recommend that everyone getting married has this, you literally never know what could happen and all the staff are so easy to deal with! Thank you Dream Wedding Insurance!!

We looked into wedding insurance after friends of ours had their venue go bust a few weeks out from their wedding and they lost a lot of money. Of course not expecting to need it we were sure glad we got it.
Just 3 weeks out from our wedding my now husbands father suddenly passed away, he couldn’t bare going ahead with the wedding so soon without him, we needed to reschedule. Majority of suppliers were amazing and were happy to move what we had spent to the new date, only our photographers could give us a partial credit. Dream Wedding Insurance were amazing during the whole process, they went back and forth with the photographers working out the detail and we were able to claim what we were out of pocket by due to the reschedule.
Highly recommend them, they go above and beyond in making a rough situation a lot easier to deal with.

I'm glad I bought dream wedding insurance cos even though you hope for the best in your wedding plans, drama happens. I experienced mine when my bridesmaids' dressmaker from overseas stopped communicating with me when I already paid him full amount. James responded quickly and helped me through the process. It was fast, easy and worth getting, trust me! Thanks again for all your help!

We had to make a claim for damaged equipment that we hired for the wedding. So we submitted the claim online with Dream Wedding Insurance which was super easy and we had the money paid back within a few days. Friendly claims staff and quick payment. What else could we ask for. 5 stars!

I bought a policy for my daughters' wedding and Dream Wedding Insurance were so helpful. I chatted to a young lady on the web chat and she guided me through the process (she was very patient with me) and hung around until I didn't have any more questions. I did loads of research before choosing the policy and I feel like my daughter's in great hands. Thanks guys! I'd recommend you to anyone.

I spent the year of 2015 planning my destination wedding on a tropical island. As many know, January is the cyclone season so I was in a little big of a panic as to what would happen if the worst was to happen. I realised that destination wedding insurance was the way to go but no one in New Zealand provided cover for this type of event. After emailing every single company in New Zealand and numerous companies in Australia, no one would provide me with cover. This was seriously a challenge! Finally, I was lucky enough to find Stuart Hartley from Marsh and McLennan who put me in touch with Stuart Catt (Director) at Dream Wedding Insurance. Both Stuarts understood my concerns and went above and beyond to provide one off cover for me (even though i'm not Australian based). The Dream Wedding Insurance team were very informative, prompt communicators and life savers! Thankfully everything went to plan and no claims were required but i'm sure the team would have dealt with any problems with ease and grace. Thank you and hopefully I aided in bringing destination wedding insurance to New Zealand - definitely an untapped market.

I'm not usually one to write reviews but I just felt the need to share the fantastic experience I've just encountered with this company. From start to finish the whole process was really smooth. Not only was the website simple and easy to use, but I was most impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable consultant that I dealt with. I had a few questions and he took the time to talk me through the different insurance policy options, explaining everything in detail. I've had so many pushy and rude wedding companies that are just after my money that it was a pleasant surprise to deal with a professional and polite service. I'd recommend this company.

I found the website and staff really helpful. Karen responded to my question about supplier failure straight away and I found the whole process really seamless. We went for a Silver policy but something tells me we'll need to upgrade to a Gold at the rate we're blowing through our budget :)

Just purchased the bronze and both people I dealt with were so nice and genuine. They didn't try to push the insurance on me. it turns me away when people get like that. Hopefully we wont have to use it.. and if we do, I hope claims are equally as nice.
