I chose Drivalia because, as a single mother, I was looking for a simple and reliable car solution that would fit my needs. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
“My car” was legally parked when it was involved in a hit-and-run accident. I was not present, yet I still ended up dealing with the consequences. Despite this, I continued paying even after the license plate had been removed from the car that was deemed totalskadet.
On top of that, I was charged for exceeding the kilometer limit - which is completely unrealistic given how little I actually used the car (only every other week when I have my children). I also had a look at the measurement a little before the accident to verify I could go to Sweden it seemed more than realistic. I suspect the measurements got disrupted during the hit and run.
I also missed out on my planned ski trip to Sweden with my daughters because of this entire situation, which makes it even more frustrating on a personal level.
Overall, I lost my down payment, paid for an extra month, and still received additional bills — even though my insurance covered the damage.
The whole process has been stressful, unclear, and very poorly handled (have had 3 different Slutopgørelse emails with different information and even wrong dates of agreement ending).
I’m sharing this so others are aware and can be cautious before choosing this service. Specifically if they need to be careful with their finances.
Very disappointing experience.
