Drivalia staff at Pisa airport

Drivalia staff at Pisa airport looked at us and when asked for a car at 10am they said they don't have any more cars available so we went to other providers, after us we saw how the staff served others and when disturbed from others were served the same, i think everybody should know that. Very rude, we came to spend money not remarks from staff.

AWFUL

AWFUL! Just canceled my reservation without any reason and notification. I have found out this just during visiting them. Do not recommend!!

Helpful staff, handy pickup location, nice car!

The car was clean and nice to drive. The Lancaster pickup location is really handy as it is on a bus route. The staff were really helpful and talked me through the quirks of the vehicle (e.g. how to open the fuel cap!).
There was an issue a few days after I hired it with a brake light bulb blowing. I took it back to the hire centre and they fixed it really quickly which was great.
I needed to extend the booking and this was really easy via the 'manage my booking' link.
I would definitely hire from them again.

Payment accepted

Payment accepted, car refused, vacation ruined

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Drivalia Olbia Airport.

I arrived on time for my confirmed reservation and presented a valid physical Mastercard CREDIT card issued in my own name. This same physical credit card has been successfully used all over the world without any problems.
Drivalia accepted my payment, processed the transaction, and issued an invoice. However, at the desk they suddenly refused to provide the vehicle.
As a result, my entire trip and vacation were seriously disrupted. I lost a lot of time, spent additional money on emergency transportation and accommodation, and my holiday was badly damaged because of this situation.
I immediately sent emails requesting assistance and a refund, but nobody replied.
Drivalia charged my card, kept the money, refused the service, and left me without support at the airport.
I urgently request a full refund of my money.

RIPOFF

We flew in from Tampa Florida with arrival time of 9AM with a pickup car time of 10AM. Because of delays getting through customs, we got to renatal office at 10:20. We were informed "we were late, and our car was given to someone else"! They offered us another SUV which of course was a little nicer and hit us for additional 200 for the 18 days we rented it. OR we could sit and wait for another car with no real time period given. We took the car (begrudgingly) and it was a nice SUV. We filled the car in Milan and drove to Melanse Airport and they hit us for 2 liters of gas at ($5,00 EU per liter) The price at gas station was at the time $2.00 EU per liter, Then they tacked on a penalty fee of 30.00 more Euros for dropping it off not completely fueled. So what was going to cost under 500.00 for a car was nearly doubled! We paid about $50.00 a day for a rental! I am appalled they pulled this crap! DON'T RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! SUCH A RIPOFF!

Avoid Drivalia at all costs.

Avoid Drivalia at all costs.

We rented a car in Rome (Termini station) and noticed several scratches on the vehicle at pickup. We explicitly pointed them out to the employee and asked for them to be documented. He assured us everything would be recorded and sent by email — which never happened.

When returning the car at the airport, we were suddenly accused of causing multiple damages and charged around ₪1,700 / €680.

The company keeps demanding that WE prove the damage already existed, while failing to provide complete and reliable documentation of the vehicle condition at pickup. They only sent photos from the return.

Customer support was extremely frustrating — repetitive template responses, no real investigation, and no accountability for their own staff’s failure to properly document the car.

We even noticed documents containing a signature that does not appear to match what was actually signed during the rental process.

Very disappointing and stressful experience. Be extremely careful, document EVERYTHING yourself, and take detailed photos/videos before leaving the parking lot.

Scam, thieves, extremely rude staff at counter - go to Avis next door you’ll have peace of mind!

Rental 26 April Roma termini station (Italy)
Avoid drivalia, run away from these scammers !
-Confirmed prepaid booking refused at Drivalia Roma Termini counter despite valid driving licence in English of my husband and previous successful rentals in Milan and Europe with the same.
-Staff confirmed adding a French licence driver (mine) would solve the issue but refused to help and kept redirecting us to Booking.com, who then cancelled the booking while keeping the money, because the booking time “has passed”. The employee at the counter (“Leana” or another “lovely” name) was extremely rude, insulted us in Italian thinking we don’t get it (my grandparents were Italians, stupida) dismissive and unprofessional.
-We lost 3+ hours, lost our booking money ( 440 eur) + had to pay 960 eur for an emergency new rental with Avis, they are in the same corridor btw (Avis were great, so kind and we booked with them with my husband’s driving license without issue!!)

Awful experience

Awful experience. When I returned the car, I was told the tyres were in terrible condition and that they should never have given me the vehicle in the first place.

The car already had a lot of damage when I collected it. However, I was told that their system only allows up to ten damage entries, and because the car had more than that, not all of the existing damage could be recorded. Unsurprisingly, I then ended up being charged for damage that had not been listed, as if it were my fault.

To make matters worse, the parcel shelf was apparently missing when I collected the car — something I honestly did not notice at the time — and I was charged for that too: a whopping €249.

Overall, this felt completely unfair and unacceptable. I would not use Drivalia again.

Negative experience, still ongoing

Unfortunately, my experience has been negative.
I received an email from them stating that I had returned the car in Pisa, even though I was still in possession of the vehicle and the return was scheduled for 14/05 at Milan Linate. Because of this mistake, I was charged around €700, completely unjustified.

I contacted customer service by email and phone several times, but days have passed and no one has solved the issue or provided a clear answer.
Such slow and inaccurate customer support only creates stress and distrust.

I hope the situation will finally be resolved, but for now I can only express strong disappointment.

Drivalia later contacted me saying that they refunded me, which is only partially correct — because to this day I am still being charged double the rental cost, and I have spent an enormous amount of time trying to correct their mistake

Great experience

I rented a car from Catania Airport. Car was ready right away, good service, car was in good condition and had no issues during the rental, return process was easy and the deposit was returned immediately. Overall very good experience.
