Not worth the hassle, even if you love the look

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes. Two pairs (size 7) fit great and I kept them. The third — the sneaker sandal — did not fit. I followed all their policies, paid $41.47 to return it, paid $10 to receive a new size (6.5), and that pair didn’t fit either. I asked to try a size 6 and was told I’d have to pay another $41.47 + $30 more for the privilege of trying a third size — for a single product that never fit.

After pushing back and documenting the experience, they finally agreed to waive the $30 — but only if I agreed this would be my “final order” from them. That says a lot about how they view customer relationships.

My total sunk cost to get this one style to fit is now $273.23 — and if I proceed, it’ll climb to over $350 CAD. If the size 6 doesn’t work, I’ll be filing a chargeback with Visa.

The shoes are expensive, the sizing is inconsistent between styles, and the policies are rigid and inflexible. If they just owned the issues and treated loyal buyers with respect, this could’ve been a different story. But I wouldn’t buy again — and wouldn’t recommend anyone else risk it either.

This company is SO disappointing

This company is SO disappointing. I was excited to try these heels after seeing the owner/creator on Dragon’s Den. I thought she really cared about our feet/comfort/her customers. Turns out she runs a scam. She charges a premium for pretty basic shoes. And the kicker is that she’ll offer a discount pretty much every time so that you won’t be able to return the shoes. Even though I measured as followed their sizing instructions, the shoes are way too big and fall off my heels. Now I’m stuck with two pairs of shoes that don’t fit. I guess I will consign them! Hopefully someone else can enjoy them.

Not worth your time and money!

Leather is stiff and uncomfortable. You may be able to break into the shoes after wearing and being in pain for god knows how long it’ll take to “mold” to your feet.

The sizing is off too. I usually wear 10.5 and followed the recommended sizing and went with my usual size… it turns out to be too long.

The fuchsia pink flat is very cute online but the toe cap area is also too deep looking like grandma - this is something that you couldnt tell based on the pictures online. Originally Wanted to get the sneaker but sold out in my size so I Bought the flats on sale to try out instead.

Extremely disappointed first (ans last) time customer! Don’t waste your time and money ladies - sale items are non refundable, you can top up average $200+ to exchange for something else which may or may not be as comfortable as it claims. Read Reddit reviews and do your homework before buying!

Customer service rep Amanda is not helpful at all. She recommended me to try the suede sneaker for softer leather, but she could not see that my size is not available?!! The flats I got was $135CAD and the only other suede options in my size are the sneaker pumps which are $395…. Com’on, be realistic and use some common sense, after trying something very uncomfortable, who is willing to risk an extra $260!??

I do NOT recommend this brand. Don’t waste your time and money.

Buyer Beware

Buyer beware! Just like the other comments here, I was sadly mislead by Dr. Liza shoes. As a curious new customer, I used a promo code they were advertising to try their shoes. I used the promo code for a regular pair priced for $500, but came to $330 with the discount. I measured my foot and ensured I followed their recommendations on the site. The 8.5 shoe was extremely tight fitting and very low quality. When I asked for a refund, I was told that I could only have store credit to exchange for another pair. I paid the shipping to ship the original pair back and received the larger size, which still didn't fit right and felt cheap and unstable. I wrote again just asking for a refund and they refused. I'm shocked at the lack of customer service and care, especially when they're bringing marketing to customers whom often have pain, back or foot issues and are excited to find a shoe that will bring them peace and comfort.

It feels very unethical to bring in customers with a special discount code and then say its for exchange only. At this point, I've returned their two pairs to them and have no product and am out $330. They also do not have this clearly stated anywhere on the site. They do make you check a "terms and conditions" at purchase, but it is not clear at all. Very sad and frustrated by this entire experience and have seen many other terrible reviews here and on other websites.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. The slippers I bought are the most uncomfortable ever owned! Tried them and will throw them out. Very expensive as well. Don’t buy from this company. Written not out of bitterness but an attempt to warn others.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!

I purchased a pair of dr. Liza shoes. They looked like quality shoes. Upon receiving them, I realized that they had a large and heavy threaded seam down the soul of the shoe that caused discomfort when you stepped on the base of it. The shoe was for my son's wedding. At that time I went into the hospital after which I came out and was too weak to do the return. When I went to do the return dr. Liza told me the 1) It was too late to do the return, even though I explained to them my situation. 2) I had received 30% off of the original price. Even though I paid $175.00 for the shoes. I wrote them several times explaining my extenuating circumstances and they were cold and curt to me! No customer service whatsoever. Then they told me they would not allow contact with me any longer. I was neither rude nor abusive with them. I am truly shocked at this companies lack of customer service and poor quality assurance. This company is a scam!

The most comfortable shoes money can buy

I was hesitant to buy dr Liza shoes after reading the reviews here. I’m so happy that I bought them anyway. After 20 years not being able to wear heels because of foot problems I’m finally looking like myself again. They are a godsend a miracle! Yes you have to read the policy like any other store but once you find your size you’ll be in heaven. I have the sneaker heels, boots and sandals are they are all amazing. I wore the sneaker sandals and heels on a trip to Italy and can’t believe how good I felt. I think my husband fell in love again. Try them for yourself I’m so happy I did.

Expensive pieces of trash

These shoes are so poorly constructed. All the reviews on their site are so positive, but several years old. I think they must have outsourced the construction recently, because the shoes I received are just trash. Before I even wore them I had to send them back for repairs because they were falling apart. I have worn them maybe 12 times since and they are starting to come apart again. I don't often spend $500 on a pair of shoes, but when I do I expect them to be amazing quality and to last several years. You'll get a good month out of these.

Poor sizing and garbage return policies.

High quality shoes. Would be wonderful if they fit. I'm normally an 8.5. Ordered and tried on 8.5. Too small. Paid for return and sent back. They had no size 9 to exchange at the time. I was issued a store credit for the sale price I originally purchased at. This store credit cannot be used to purchase another pair at the sale price. Can only be applied to full price and must be used within 1 year. The size 9s finally became available. I purchased them at full price and applied the credit. The size 9s were too big. They recommended I purchase heel pads. I did. Still didn't fit. A few weeks had past while i was suddenly moving house (flood damage) and having surgery so I could only deal with trying the inserts 2 days before my 30 days was up.
I was told my only option was to rush ship the shoes back for arrival in 2 days and they could exchange for another style. I only needed the pumps and, at this point, I dont trust that their sizes will fit me.

I've now spent a total of 472.66 on shoes that I cannot wear and that will not be exchanged or refunded.  They do not care.

227.85 (size 8.5)

29.87 (shipping)

197.03 (size 9)

17.91 (padded heel liners)

DO NOT PURCHASE THESE SHOES ONLINE. Perhaps if there is a pop up in your area and you can try them on, that is the only way I would recommend buying. They don't want you to have a successful experience of their product. I tried everything they suggested. The shoes are in pristine condition. I cannot wear them though I wish I could.

If I could leave no stars I would

If I could leave no stars I would. I'm sure it comes as no surprise that my experience was the same as everyone else's here. Negative. I'm stuck with a pair of shoes that don't fit and won't allow me to return- despite them being BRAND NEW. It's so dissapointing to have a small Canadian company treat their customers like this. It does a disservice to all small companies because people will be less likely to try to support a small company that cares nothing for their customers. It's shocking. Basically like others the shoes came, I tried them on, they didn't fit -despite my sizing down as instructed on the website. I sent them back at my own expense to the address listed on website which "customer service" said was not right. Anyway they sent the shoes back, no refund no exchange. I'm out over $200 all for the displeasure of dealing with Dr.Liza Shoes. She should be ashamed of herself.

Same experience as all others on here

Same experience as all others on here. The sizing is at least half a size too big. Shipping fees are at purchaser's expense. Will not refund or give store credit on your account if they have no size in stock to exchange. Instead, sent a coupon code that expires after a year and won't work with discounted items so you end up paying the same amount, or more than the original price you paid for the shoes that were made not to fit purposefully. I lost a total of 300.00. I don't see anything else that I like and the style I originally ordered is sold out in the size that might fit me. This is a very poor way of doing business.

On the other hand, if the shoes had fit, I think I would have liked them as they seemed to be very well made. I was extremely disappointed that I had to send them back and that they didn't fit.

BEWARE OF DISCOUNT CODES!!!!

I wish I had read these reviews before placing my order. They perfectly reflect my experience. Initially, I believed this was a reputable company. The shoes sat in my cart for several days because spending over $300 on a pair of flats is a significant investment for me. However, the description sounded promising, emphasizing comfort, and I carefully reviewed the measurements and return policy before deciding not to purchase the discounted ones. After receiving a "discount" code as a first-time customer, I thought it was a good opportunity to proceed.

Unfortunately, using the code they provided to incentivize the purchase voided my ability to return them. Upon arrival, the shoes were not as advertised; they lacked the promised "feel of an athletic sneaker" and were too large. This was disappointing, as I was genuinely prepared to invest in a quality pair of comfortable flats. Immediately, I contacted Amanda, but the company showed no willingness to make an exception or retain a potential returning customer.

Given this experience, I doubt this company will endure. Personally, I won't be returning, and I intend to inform everyone I know about the deceptive practices of this company.

I purchased booties over a year ago…

I purchased booties over a year ago that I had only worn three times when I went to put them on the third time the zipper broke. I took it to a shoe repair place. He said they’re not repairable contacted Dr. Lisa shoes they told me since it been over a year, there was nothing they could do. I sent them photos of how new the shoes were and that they were barely worn, but they said they would not repair or replace. so I would not pay two to $300 for shoes that you can wear 3 times. The company does not stand behind their product.. I would definitely find some other shoes and as far as being comfortable as sneakers They’re certainly not

rude people

I have been subscribed to Dr. Liza shoes email newsletter for some time and recently received a marketing attempt for a product featuring the traditional designs of a culture to whom I do not belong. I have seen much shade thrown at white people for wearing the designs of other peoples, what is commonly referred to nowadays as "cultural appropriation". Trying to be woke I responded to them that they should not try to sell me something that as an evil white person (let's face it, that is how we are now viewed by most of the world), I can not wear. I was responded to by an offensive disparaging remark simply for trying to be respectful. I find this all very unprofessional and seeing all the terrible reviews below I know I am not the only person who feels that they are not professional and are to be avoided. I might have bought another pair of shoes from them in the future but since I have been insulted by them and since I have been lead here to see many more terrible Dr. Liza reviews, I know I won't risk my hard earned money even though people of their ilk would call me "privileged, my privilege is to drag myself out of bed every day to go toil for my money while being disrespected, abused, assaulted etc for the "privilege of earning said money. Staff there, especially Amanda need help.

Beyond shady.

Beyond shady, it's a scam. They sell shoes for hundreds of dollars that are worthless garbage that won't fit, hurt, and are the cheapest quality imaginable. Also, they took 3 weeks to arrive. Then when you ask for a return/refund you have to pay a ridiculous amount to ship it and only get an exchange for more garbage that you really can't pick out anyway as they ask for 2 options and will send what they have in stock. I left both product and site reviews which were never posted because they were one star. The blamed a 3rd party. The owners should be in jail for scamming and deceiving.

My experience mirrors what others…

My experience mirrors what others report here. Shoe sizing off, costly return ($53) for first pair that didn’t fit - and second pair didn’t fit either. Way too long for a size 9, stiff sole and basically unwearable. I was told there are no refunds to U.S. clients. I wrote a review for their website and it’s not posted there.
Very poor business practice I feel totally ripped off. I paid full price for shoes that don’t fit, and stuck with them.

This company is a shady business

This company is a shady business. The sizing in shoes is on the large size. My shoes didn’t fit, they charged me to return, then did not have my correct size. Now they will not refund me. Only gave me a credit that expires.

The instructions to find my size did…

The instructions to find my size did…
I ordered 2 pairs. Cost was $300. I tried on the shoes they were huge on me. The leather is very stiff. I let them know that I followed their instructions to size and it still did not work. I sent the shoes back. It cost $53 to ship it back. They refuse to refund my money. They said I should have read the refund policy. ( not going to lie, I didn’t. Because I did not think that I will get ripped off.) So I have no shoes(doesn’t matter if I did, I couldn’t wear them) no money back. Company is basically stealing money, sending crap product and not refunding my hard earned money. Run! Don’t buy with them.!

To say I am unsatisfied with dr LIZA…

To say I am unsatisfied with dr LIZA shoes would be a major understatement.

It stated on their website that they accept returns but I cannot be the only US customer that didn't read further than that. Absolutely no refunds to US customers, only exchanges.

However, in order for my return (exchange) to be accepted, I must ship it in the original box via USPS and I am solely responsible for all shipping costs.  In addition, I must make 2 alternate exchange choices prior to sending back my return.

Finally, I go to my local post office and they inform me that to send my shoes, it will cost me in the price range of $75-$100.

Needless to say, I haven't the time nor the energy to attempt sending these back, exactly as instructed, with no room for error.  So I am stuck with a pair of shoes that I cannot wear and probably the most painful thing about this is I paid $495 for them. This is the most I've ever spent on a pair of shoes.
