David was kind, personable, and great at his job. He really listened to what we wanted and provided a beautiful service that honoured what our dad wanted for his funeral. We felt that we were in good hands and that he was available if we had any questions or edits for our eulogies.

I cannot express how grateful we are to David at my Dads funeral on 8th January 2025. My two sisters and I immediately clicked with David and when he came to see us he put us at ease right away. David is such a compassionate and caring soul that he captured my Dads personality very quickly and that transformed into a beautiful eulogy, with beautiful words and humour of my dad’s very full life. David we are indebted to you as a family for giving my dad the perfect send off he deserved. You took us by the hand and lead the whole service and so many people attending the funeral thought David was just wonderful. We received so many beautiful comments.Thank you once again David, you are an Angel in disguise xx

Our family would like to thank David very much for leading a wonderful tribute to our beloved ‘Big T’.
David put us all at ease straight away and made an extremely difficult situation so much easier for us all.
He captured our dad perfectly and the service was full of Big T’s fun loving antics which brought a smile to many faces several times. So many people commented on what a great job David did and we couldn’t agree more.
Our family would highly recommend David to other families to create a memorable and fitting tribute to their loved ones.

We never knew until we met David that an eulogy and burial could be so personal. We had previously buried our parents and felt that the services weren't truly personal or covered what we had wanted to say at our and family friends' loss.
However, with the loss of our sister we were older and more determined on what we wanted for her passing. David was exactly the person to fill the bill.

Not only was he sympathetic but he understood us and adapted to exactly what we wanted. Caring, listening and had a wonderful sense of humour. He described our sister exactly as we wished and even wore a tie in her favourite colour for the ceremony.
We couldn't wish for a better celebrant. He also supplied us with a copy of the full written service so that it could be relayed to family members who were too infirm to attend.

We would not hesitate in recommending David to other bereaved families.

David conducted the celebration of my late mother life and I just wanted do write and say to anyone looking for a celebrant this is your man. Kind, thoughtful, considerate and with a sharp wit that raised the celebration of my mother’s life to a higher level. I highly recommend David to be your celebrant you will not be disappointed. David recently performed the service for my grans funeral and honestly made the process so easy for all of the family.

Upon our first meeting he put everyone at complete ease. David listened to our stories and understood how we wanted the service to be a celebration of her life.

The eulogy he wrote was wonderful, so fitting and heartfelt.

David took the service for my Gran’s funeral. The way he spoke about my Gran was so lovely, it was as if he knew her himself. David’s professionalism is incredible & he is so approachable. We received so many comments from friends and family on how beautiful the service was. He is truly one of the best celebrants & would highly recommend him to anyone. David was recently the celebrant at my Dad’s funeral and I feel there are no words that could praise him enough! From the initial meeting with David until the day of the service, he was absolutely amazing. His attention to detail was second to none and the way he worded the eulogy left everyone thinking David knew my dad personally. The compliments we received from family and friends after the service were wonderful and we are forever thankful to David for making one of the hardest days of our lives that little more special. David was recommended to us by Megan at a co-op funeral home. After discussing my dad's story, Megan said David would be ideal to conduct my dad's service.

David called to arrange a suitable time to discuss my dads life, within the first 5 minutes of meeting David I would 100% agree with Megan. David was professional and very caring from the beginning.

We laughed at some of the antics that happened over the years but when the tears were flowing David comforted me but remained professional at all times.

On the day of the funeral David was right there by our side helping any way he could.

My aunt was extremely grateful of the effort David made she actually said she had never experienced a service like it.

This was a terribly sad occasion, after losing my wonderful dad. You had the congregation laughing and crying (at my request). You are a true gentleman! Thank you for making the last few moments with my dad's story a little easier.

Throughout the entire process David was compassionate,thoughtful,sincere and humerous.
He met the family at our house and instantly we knew that he was the best person to deliver Kevin’s eulogy.
And deliver it he did.On the day of the service he guided us through everything that would take place and gave Kevin a beautiful,funny and emotional service.

David was the perfect choice for my wife's funeral service. He was very attentive and sympathetic to our requests, his text was uplifting and respectful, and his delivery absolutely wonderful. He handled the service expertly, so that everything worked flawlessly on the day with no added stress. We enjoyed our dealings with him throughout the process. Very quick to respond and easy to relate to. Heartily recommend him.

David was absolutely fantastic my sister and myself were amazed at the eulogy David Somerville wrote for our late father considering what we could tell him our whole family were made to feel that David actually knew our dad we would not hesitate to ask David to help again and we would highly recommend him if you are looking for a Celebrant for a loved one if we could give 10 stars we would without hesitation

David was the civil celebrant at my mum Mary Moore’s cremation at Daldowie Crematorium on 9th September 2024. David was the consummate professional throughout the process from first meeting him until the actual day of the service. Such a genuine ,gentle ,funny ,talented man. From our initial telephone call, David made us very comfortable and at ease. We then had a meeting with David which from the outset confirmed we had the right person for our Father's funeral service.

David conducted our Mums funeral just a couple of days ago. The whole service was perfect for us and for Mum. He did an amazing job of capturing the spirit of a lady he never met. David puts you very much at ease and nothing is too much bother for him. He'll do whatever it takes with as many amendments needed until you are happy with everything. Everyone that was in attendance commented on how lovely and personal the service was with the right amount of funny.

I never truly believed before that in death, it could create such a celebration, I do however know first hand how that feels now.....David you played a huge part in making us feel this way.
