Do not sign up with DU!!!!
They approached me to upgrade my plan promising they wouldnt charge me because my old plan hadn’t finished yet. I usually pay 210 dirhams, after that I got a bill of almost 900 dirhams. I called them they said they had charged me because my old contract hadn’t finished! Plus the same month they charged me for the two plans full. They said they would return the money after I called them 20 times but I needed to pay the 900 dirhams or they would cut my line which I totally refused. They told me just pay 300 and we won’t cut it. So guess what, I paid and they cut it anyway! Du is a nightmare with their employees misleading customers!!!! I would go to Etisalat to pay more to avoid this headache!!!! It’s like you are dealing with a small company that no one knows… it’s a shame what du has become

Catastrophic / Scam
This company is a scam. I paid to recharge my SIM card for one month. After 24 hours, the SIM was deactivated even though I had recharged it. It’s impossible to create an account on their mobile app. When you enter the phone number, it says the account doesn’t exist… of course, since I’m trying to create it. In short, nothing works except their payment link to take money from tourists.

No to Du again!! Bad CS services!!!!!! I swear to God do not get a plan with DU!!It will ruin your day, your whole being if you are about to cancel the plan that the agreement has been done!!!
Ugly expensive
Ugly expensive! No choice ! Call to 100 customer service advisors and receive 100 different answers on the same issue! Complete nightmare! Now, for over 6 months I can’t cancel 500MB Daily Roaming Data that I by mistake activated 6 months ago! I have 10GB roaming monthly now, and I don’t need that 500MB, but they keep charging me for that! I call, rose complaint, they remove charges, next month repeat the same!!! It is complete nightmare !!! Gosh, I wish there will be any competition , so they start doing smth. My Portuguese Vodafone has the same bundle, but in Portugal I pay 12 euros per months, and with Du I pay 400 AED (90 euros) per months !!!!! Crazy !!!

Worst Customer Service Experience – DU is a Complete Disaster
I never write reviews, but I had to after what I went through with DU.
I requested a relocation for my internet after moving houses. They told me someone would call me within 24 hours – it has now been 8 days, and not a single call. I called DU every single day, waited 40 minutes on hold, and most of the time the line disconnected. Every agent repeated the same script: “We raised your inquiry, someone will call you shortly.” Nobody ever did.
I even asked for the technician’s number because I have work and need to coordinate, but they refused. Then when I wanted to cancel, phone support told me I had to go to a branch. I went to the DU branch in JVC Mall and they said: “We can’t cancel here, you must cancel by phone.” So which one is it?
Then the real shock came:
• Cancellation fee: 374 AED
• Monthly bill: 576 AED (which I paid)
• Previous balance + 1-year remaining contract: 1004 AED
• Another 576 AED for the last month
In total, DU wanted around 1,600 AED JUST TO CANCEL a service they refused to relocate or support. Completely insane.
I’ve been waiting over an hour on the line again today. It feels like a strategy they use on purpose so customers get frustrated and keep paying. They constantly call to sell new offers, but when you need help, nobody is available.
One DU agent even called me earlier offering to “get me a new connection and cancel the old one” just to hit his target — this happened to my friend as well. It’s a pattern.
DU is a scam, unprofessional, unresponsive, and extremely frustrating. I urge everyone to be careful and go with Etisalat instead. I switched to Etisalat and they connected me the same day.
I’m willing to share proof with anyone who wants to avoid going through this nightmare. This is by far the worst service experience I’ve ever had.

😡😡😡 I am extremely frustrated and financially drained after dealing with DU Telecom for over two months 😤💸.
They issued several complaints but they were useless (this was my latest complaint number SR.3636560) 🤬.
Their service has been an absolute nightmare 😱—I’ve visited multiple DU stores including City Center, Al Gurair, and Dubai Mall, only to be passed around like a volleyball with no resolution 🏐❌.
In the DU center, my account shows over 1000 accounts in their system, but the DU app displays just two accounts and still no one can fix it on the spot like Etisalat does 😠📱.
They keep emailing head office, but nothing happens 📧🚫.
I’ve wasted 3000 AED on taxi fares alone chasing this issue, plus countless hours of lost time 🚕⏰.
DU’s support is useless—they promise follow-ups that never come 😞.
The call center says go to DU centers, and the DU centers say call customer care, while customer care says we can't handle your issue, go to a DU center.
I strongly advise against using their services; if something goes wrong, they simply can’t or won’t help ⚠️.
This has been a ridiculous and costly experience 💔.

I left the UAE in Sept 2024 and only now have they managed to move my line to Prepaid - Every email gets moved on to another department, every request is ignored, every interaction requires paying them more money. So over a year and 4550 aed later or the equivalent of 1000 GBP i have finally had a request raised to go prepaid. Not done yet but a request made.
My advise is if you can avoid it do not use DU for anything. For the UAE a place I have a great affection for Du Telecom is a joke. It's so clear no one even considers the customer in any interaction. Without a monopoly this business goes bust inside of a year
Scammed me for months on end and there is nothing you can do
Du signed me up for a 3rd party scam app that did not exist after extensive research. Money was coming out of my account every other day and I could not stop it. I researched this extensively online and appear to have been a victim of the Du scam. It is scary that a company like this can think they can get away with scamming customers. They take random low amounts daily as if to make it look like they are calling charges. It adds up to a huge amount. I have umlimited calling minutes so worked out that these were not calling charges. I complained for several months but they did not reply. I created a court application which I had to send to them - only then did they apologise and say they would refund me but I still have not received anything so submitted the court app. They eventually told me it was a billing error but this was only after intense chasing for months of being ignored.
By the way, once they lock you in you can't leave them and they can literally abuse you. Let's see if the courts can help resolve this matter because Du wont.

The customer service agents who it takes more than 30 minutes just to contact them don’t even listen but are outright just rude and entitled .

I’ve had one of the worst experiences ever with this company. My mobile device had an issue, and instead of helping me, du made everything worse. The billing department keeps making mistakes, and even after several complaints, nothing gets fixed.
The call center is completely useless — they never respond properly or follow up. I’ve sent multiple emails and messages and still no action at all.
I honestly regret choosing du. The service quality, customer support, and accountability are all extremely disappointing. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
stay away from any DU contracts
I would avoide this provider at all costs . The service is shocking . The do illegal charges for data roaming bundles when you are within country, they try and ignore your customer complaints. I have ended up spending a lot of time with the TDRA in regards to this supplier . I would never use them again

Very bed services. I had my home connection earlier (wireless) but after shifting Emirates dubai to Abu dhabi. Du representatives give me promise will get my refund back. At the time of closing the wireless home wifi connection. I settled all amount but after settlement I need to get back x amount from du but till today they only sending me refund email but not received. Very bed experienced I had. Not recommended to anyone
