We maximise learning with small class sizes, high levels of interaction, group activities and reflective conversations. CQC registration support CQC Registration, whether for the Registered Manager, the Registered Provider and/or Location, can be a confusing and difficult process. We have extensive experience of the CQC registration process and can guide and support you through this, including coaching the Manager, Nominated Individual or Registered Person prior to the CQC Interview. Mock CQC inspections and regulatory audits CQC Inspections can be both time consuming and stressful. Knowing where you are against the regulations and Fundamental Standards can reduce the stress by allowing you to identify areas which need improvement or are not compliant. Once you have identified the areas that need improvement, you can take control by developing and implementing prioritised action plans. The Director at Duffy and Shaw will support you through the whole process to ensure objectivity and timely delivery of the action plan/improvements. We have many years of experience working as CQC inspectors, and managing CQC inspections from the providers perspective. Monitoring, reviewing and trend analysis is key to ensuring a quality, effective and efficient service. CQC will be looking for continuous improvement and evidence of identifying any trends in complaints, safeguarding, health and safety incidents, infection control etc. They will expect positive action and action plans in place to remedy identified issues and for you to show continuous improvement of your services. Director and Registered Manager Coaching Even experienced managers and directors can find it difficult to see the wood for the trees when it comes to regulatory compliance and knowing how to meet the requirements of a busy and complicated service. Duffy and Shaw are able to provide coaching for managers and directors at what ever stage of their career, and to provide reflection on practice, guidance against the regulatory requirements and support in maintaining confidence and strategic direction. Support and guidance with response to CQC inspections The key to responding to queries and inspection reports from CQC is identifying the key issues, developing an effective action plan and being able to communicate succinctly and accurately with the inspector and their manager. We have experience of dealing with inspections responses from both a provide and from an inspector perspective, and can therefore guide providers in ensuring that their response best answers the questions being asked and meets the issues or concerns being raised. In this way we can support providers to as quickly as possible resolve the issues and reduce their stress in providing the information required. Policies and procedure development and writing. QA Systems Duffy and Shaw can provide support in developing QA systems that meet the needs of your service, including policies and procedures associated with quality systems, and analysing the data to support you to implement the required continuous improvement systems to ensure a quality service and to keep your customer satisfaction high. The QA system will include standard areas of risk such as medication management, with adaption to specific areas of risk identified within your business and service.

I highly recommend Duffy and Shaw consultancy

Each mock interview with Andy was very informative and helped me a lot to structure my answers.
During the CQC interview the inspector mentioned the way of my answering and the knowledge about regulations is comprehensive and great.

Sarah's session about the Mental Capacity Act and its practical aspects gave me so much confidence to appear the interview and there were a lot of questions regarding the same.

With the support of Andy and Sarah now I am a CQC Registered Manager and Nominated Individual.

A huge thank you for supporting and guiding me !!

I would highly recommend this training!

Training was excellent! The session was very personal and tailored to participants and provided honest and non judgmental support, towards getting ready for CQC inspections. A good way to keep updated with new CQC strategy and regulation and refresh knowledge on key areas.

We were given much appreciated options as to whether to accept the very valuable advice on a one off basis or whether to opt for longer term support. We chose the latter, such was the high standard of advice given. In short, Duffy and Shaw saved us from what at one point seemed like an impossible situation that could have resulted in the closure of our organisation.
