We signed a contract with DuurzaamXL in 2015

We signed a contract with DuurzaamXL in July 2025 for triple‑glass windows and a new roof. It is now March 2026, and we still do not have the windows we paid for. Today was supposed to be the installation date, after months of delays, and they simply did not show up again, with no communication and no new date.

From the very beginning, the entire process has been a disaster. They installed double glass instead of triple glass and only admitted the mistake after multiple calls and trying to gaslight us. The bathroom window wasn’t installed at all, without any explanation. During the second attempt, several windows broke, and one window we never even ordered was installed without permission, and then also broke. We still have those broken windows in place today.

The workmanship on both the windows and the roof has been shockingly bad. Large gaps were left under the windows, letting cold air into the house. The roof installation left gaps large enough to see outside, which we had to repair ourselves at our own cost. The roof is still not properly finished or waterproof, and we will now need another company to complete the work.

Communication has been almost nonexistent. I called numerous times over the span of months and never received a single promised callback. Excuses were inconsistent and often untrue (e.g. saying they cant install windows due to low temperatures). They ignored my written complaint entirely. Triple‑glass panes have been lying around our house for months, hindering renovations and at risk of breaking until they finally came to put them into our garden (where they still are standing today).

This entire ordeal has cost us extra money, time away from work, and months of stress, all while we still don’t have the product we paid for. And while we worked out a discount for the lack of work and faulty installations, we just want our workings with them to finally be over.

After eight months, multiple broken windows, repeated mistakes, unfinished work, and yet another missed installation date, we still have no windows and no idea when they will come.

We thus strongly advise avoiding this company.
